First tip — do not be seated in the dining room without the booths. It looks and feels like a cafeteria . Food was great. Experience was not what I would expect from a top tier steak house . It was an unfortunate start to the evening . Front of the house management would be helpful to this place.

Our meal last night was unfortunately VERY subpar. My mother in laws Caesar salad was made from iceberg lettuce instead of Romaine, my lobster bisque had a sliver of something that resembles lobster and tasted like mushroom soup, and my shrimp scampi and Manila clams came on a bed of two pounds of pasta with butter poured on it. Very disappointing.

Came here with my wife and my mom. Had the New York steak with asparagus, and side of broccoli. The food was all delicious and I enjoyed every bite. My steak was cooked to perfection and the staff was fantastic. We left incredibly full and satisfied. Would totally return next time I’m in the area.

AMAZING sooooooo good and filling. Gerald and Chris were great hosts and kept us entertained. Good came out in good waves and the alcohol was worth the price, got me buzzed fast I recommend the Bass! Like butter melting!

Let me start by saying I should have taken the poor reviews more seriously. I took my wife here for a «milestone» birthday last night and it was shockingly bad to say the least. I will say the signature cocktails were excellent and the lobster bisque were decent. Be warned though, if you are a fan of actual lobster in your bisque you will be disappointed. It comes with a single piece the size of a nickel, but it was the best thing we had. I ordered the rack of lamb medium rare, which looked amazing. Unfortunately it came out VERY rare and as tough and stringy a piece of meat as I have ever had in my life. As it was a special night I decided to pretend I liked it however that changed when I tasted my wife’s dish. She ordered the sea bass, oh my freaking god. I tasted a bite and at that instant dinner was over. That was the most vile and disgusting piece of food I have ever tasted. Seriously, it tasted so fishy and nasty all I could think about was getting that taste out of my mouth. At that point the thought of eating anything was sickening. The waiter was so so, she did take the fish off the check, but sad nothing when I was finished with my lamb after 2 – 3 bites even though I showed her it was raw, not even rate. I would say it was just a fluke but two tables next to us were having similar issues. I guess I wasn’t vocal enough as having to pay for that trash they called food was a crime. I have to say, I frequent a number of top tier steak houses and this is not one of them. It has the appearance of one, but the quality of the food is on par with a cafeteria, and a bad one at that. Do not be fooled by their 4 diamond rating, clearly things have changed since they last achieved that. I was kind so as to not ruin my wife’s evening as it was a special occasion but Jesus Christ people. Even though the meat and seafood is mediocre grade at least make sure it’s fresh and prepared properly. Hopefully this will help others avoid a colossally disappointing experience.

Food: your choice of $ 40 or $ 60 price fix menu. I had French onion soup, shrimp and clam scampi fettuccine, chocolate lava cake. Hubby had lobster bisque, filet minion, piña colada cheesecake. I was underwhelmed by this steakhouse. The cheese in the onion soup was hard and old tasting, the fettuccine was a huge portion and was very bland. I had to add lots of lemon and their sea salt/pepper mixture and the lava cake was over cooked so there was no «lava» oozing out. Hubby said lobster bisque was just ok and I tasted his cheesecake which seemed like pineapple jam dumped on top of a cheesecake– yuk. We did not finish any of our food and will not be back. Staff and patrons were the 65+ crowd if that is your scene.

We had Christmas eve dinner here. The restaurant is located in the Montbleu Casino just down the street from our hotel where we were staying. The restaurant is really cozy with large booths and an open style kitchen. We were warmly greeted by our waiter and offered drinks. We ordered a couple of martinis. And they were both awesome. The rest of the evening was really outstanding from French onion soup, lobster bisque, steaks, seafood. Everything we ordered was really delicious. We were there for one of my birthday celebrations and they brought out the beautiful complementary chocolate lava cake and two plates of chocolate covered strawberries. If you’re visiting this area or you live within driving distance I guarantee you will not be disappointed this is truly a wonderful restaurant with standout service and finely crafted food.

Excellent table side service, great staff, fantastic food. If you’re going to a casino steakhouse in south lake go to Ciera. The 24oz filet is perfectly prepared, strong drinks as well.

Had New Year’s Eve dinner here with my boyfriend. The food was beyond amazing! The staff from the hostess to servers to management was excellent… nicest people ever! Best steakhouse in Tahoe! Highly recommend the filet Oscar and truffle Mac and cheese! Truly one of our best dining experiences of 2015!

Extremely upmarket restaurant with plush red velvet curtains. We had a lovely booth that could be sectioned off. Food was great, tasted delish and we had tons leftover. Bill came to $ 250 for 3 adults, a little pricey but a nice experience.

I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and Manila Clams, Lobster Bisque, Bread with 3 flavors of butter(pesto, cranberry, regular), and Pina Colada Cheesecake. Sipped Monkey Shoulder($ 15.00 a shot) and Ultimate White Russian(very tasty). My partner ordered the Filet Mignon which came with a veggie, very tasty dish. I had reservations, sat in the bar, which seats 12 comfortably, noticed a couple ordering their dinner, so, I inquired, only when you are seated literally at the bar is when you can order food. So, when two seats out of 4 at the bar opened up, we sat and ordered dinner, cancelled our reservations for inside. Topped it off with serving two dipped chocolate strawberries over dry ice along with the bill.

This restaurant was exceptional. The service, presentation, quality and quantity were wonderful. First, The manager accommodated us by allowing us to choose where we wanted to sit then our waiter Fil was very attentive and engaging I had the filet mignon which was prepared perfect The lobster bisque was delicious as well as the cheesecake I enjoyed every aspect of the dining experience and would have to say it was one of my best experiences ever! At the end of the meal we were presented worn chocolate covered juicy and tasty strawberries served on smoking fried ice. So wonderful!

Excellent experience! We arrived at our reservation time and were seated in a booth as requested. The booths have curtains to make your table more private which was nice. Service was outstanding and attentive, but not overbearing. The sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine to go with our dinner and the food was also amazing. For dinner we had the filet for two and were not disappointed. Served with broccolini and garlic mashed potatoes that were some of the best I’ve ever had. A unique thing they offered was a truffle salt grinder. Use this carefully as the flavor is great but very strong! Will be back on our next trip to Tahoe.

Took my gf here to celebrate her birthday this weekend. Over all had an exceptional experience, and we will return. Pros: food was wonderful, my filet cut like butter and paired wonderfully with the garlic mashed potatoes. We had reservations so we were able to sit in one of the private booths which creates a very romantic experience. The chocolate covered strawberries were a nice touch to end the meal. Cons: My gf ordered her Filet Oscar medium, it arrived rare, bordering on tartar. It was an excellently prepared steak, so she was still able to enjoy it. However when I come to a 4 diamond Steak House, I want my food to arrive as ordered. We informed our server and chose not to send it back. She did however comp us their chocolate lava cake, to apologize which was phenomenal. Just on principal, was not pleased how the steak arrived. They seem to have an impressive wine selection, via the display visible throughout the entire place. But they only had three Cabs to choose from? And only one Malbec? Hmmm. Okay? All in all we had a wonderful time, enjoyed everything we ordered. –10oz Filet –Filet Oscar –garlic mashed potatoes — Truffle Mac and Cheese –Wedge Salad Great place for a nice meal, although it’s in the casino, it’s a nice little escape from the loud cigarette filled gaming floors.

Classy place, fine dining, wine paired well with our filet mignon. Portions are huge, you may want to split a meal. We were shocked by a few men who wore baseball hats while eating. Hey guys, here’s a hint, she would be more impressed if you took off your hat and dressed for her and the occasion. In the USA it is still a sign of respect when you are indoors and in the presence of a lady to take off your hat — unless you mean to be a piece of s**t.

Another GREAT meal. What can you say… the food and service speaks for itself. The service here is always super attentive. Huge wine selection. The fixed menu on Thursday, Friday, & Sunday is a great value. Make reservations, you’ll need them. But it’s totally worth it and it will make your evening.

Cieraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Pri– Fix 3 course meal! Is one of the best Pre fix quality and price I’ve ever had actually. Each course had a large portion and the food quality was really amazing! The pri fix was only 35 dollars per person. The items that you can choose from was pretty good. I Loved the appetizer lobster bisque, this bisue had a few pieces of lobster in side! Entrée I had the Filet 6oz Minion. It was delicious and excellent cooked. For dessert I have a fruit and whip cream, so simple but damn it was sooo food. I forgot the free bed was good and soft. The free bread came with butter, best butters I have had which was a sweet butter a pesto butter and a regular butter. Butter try them! Ohh quick tip when we went to eat there they didn’t bring out the pre fix menu, so your gonna have ask them for it.

One word of advice: stay away from the duck! We came here for dinner and had the country salad, the truffle Mac and cheese, cowboy ribeye and the duck. The duck was absolutely horrendous. I sent it back once because it was overlooked and tasted organ-y. Well, when the second dish came back, it was similarly bad. The steak was good and the Mac and cheese was excellent. Just avoid the duck
