tech came out replaced a $ 10 capacitor (was able to verify $ 10 price of exact capacitor from three different websites) for compressor that took 5 minutes and charged $ 89 for service call and $ 176 for the capacitor. i knew this was an absurd charge for a capacitor as for i had the same exact service from another company a couple years ago for an unrelated capacitor and the total charge was $ 90 for everything. most company’s will as a courtesy remove service call charge if the service performed is above the service call fee. i called and spoke to manager who was courteous, as he he should be, and he offered to give me $ 35 back which would equal the price i would have paid if i were under a contract with them. of course they try to sell you there overpriced/​overinflated contract at the end of the whole deal.
i understand you have to make additional money by adjusting some numbers. most service businesses will double or maybe triple the price on the part to cover for service/​warranty/​guarantee, but this was ludicrous as for you already made your money before you showed up by charging $ 89 for the courtesy of coming.
classic case of they have you bent over and there is nothing you can do at the end of the deal. i would be willing to change rating as per service that was performed was done in timely manner from when call was put out, but at this price for this service i just cannot.

Needed AC Repair work and a neighbor recommended EDS Air Conditioning. They were extremely polite and very trustworthy. I felt like I knew the repairman personally by the time he left. This was also the first time that I have ever received an ac repair bill that came back lower than I thought it would be! :)

Great office staff, prompt response, showed up when promised with a call ahead as promised. Technician was polite, he even brought in my newspaper! My system is running better than ever! Price for service was more than fair given the fact that it’s fixed, running like new!

GREAT SERVICE!!! I called EDS Air Conditioning and they sent their service technician to Jupiter within 1hr!
Technician was professional and very courteous. Took the time to explain what was causing the problem. Repaired the problem in no time and charged a very reasonable service fee. WOULD DEFINITELY USE EDS AGAIN!
