Ann is wonderful! I would highly recommend her to any nursing momma & daddy! She was able to get us in to see her within 24 hrs of our request and meet with us until all our questions were answered. She gave my husband and I 1) breastfeeding tips, 2) educated us on breast milk and feeding options, and 3) the confidence that we could do this and our son was going to get it. She also helped to identify a potential tongue tie that could have been interfering with our baby’s feeding. We went and visited Dr Lucas (Austin Pediatric Dentist) and it was confirmed he had a tongue tie. The procedure was done in the Dentist office and he nursed better immediately following the procedure! We were so thankful! Ann set up a schedule to call my husband and I each morning and evening for 1 week (7 days!!) to go over our strategy and give more info and tips as we went along. It was excellent to have a coach through it all. :) Even now about 4 months after our initial meeting she is open to us communicating with her with our follow up questions. Bottom line– Ann is a wonderful resource for anyone nursing or trying to. She is patient, kind, straight forward and results driven.

This review is long overdue. I was referred to Ann by my wonderful midwife Genevieve Schaefer from Austin. We took our daughter to her 6 month well visit and found out she hadn’t gained weight. She had started sleeping through the night, was a distracted nurser, overly active, etc. Our pediatrician actually threatened to call CPS and send her to a forced hospital stay if we didn’t take action. (that’s another Unilocal review). She tried to force formula on us.
We drove out the same day to see Ann. She was patient, loving, and so helpful with our daughter. She helped us realize she was just a distracted eater and that we needed to wake her every 3 hours to eat, feed only avocado, and just focus on getting her to gain.
Ann texted me, called me, and checked up on us every day. She is an amazing person. She also called the pediatrician in person and explained it all and stood up for us and went to bat for us.
If you need any help breastfeeding, need support, or have any questions, Ann is the woman to see. She saved my breastfeeding relationship with my daughter and I will forever remember her and thank her!
