16-bit is great. I love their fun mixed drinks and I always try their shot of the night on Saturdays. They also have a pretty nice selection of beers. They could use some more bathrooms but I don’t totally mind waiting in line, I usually end up meeting new people while I wait!

Who isn’t a fan of 80’s+90’s Arcade games paired with a unique vibe and delicious drinks? 16Bits of Nostalgia and Fun for sure — this place rocks. 16 Bit Barcade adds a unique spot to your going-out repertoire and offers something different and fun for everyone. Don’t like arcade games? They still have amazingly delicious and fun drinks? Don’t drink? Have them make you a still delish mocktail and Finish your friends in Mortal Kombat *cue insanely dance-able theme song from the 90’s movie*. Did I mention how good the drinks are here? Too-Legit-To-Quit, as MC Hammer would undoubtedly say while knocking back a ‘Bill Nye’ whiskey served in a beaker. They have drinks served with Twizzlers, or Bacon Jerky, or Popsicles — all delicious and offering something strong for your Nick Offerman friends or sweet for the April O’Neils in your life. The weekends get hella busy and it may be hard to grab the game you want, but the crowd is generally nice and much preferable to the W.6th crowd. If you want your run of any of the Arcade games, go on a weeknight though and you’ll be the King of Quarters.

Great place, bartenders aside — they seemed to have an issue with humans. Otherwise, had a lot of fun and enjoyed the drinks.

Unique and fun concept! We went with a group of 5 people here, some were friends and others were newly-mets, and the place provided a great ice-breaker for the group. 16 Bit only serves drinks and provides for arcade-style games, most of them for free. I don’t know that there are many arcade games nowadays, but the ones they have are all pretty much from the 80s and 90s, so it also provided a flashback and nostalgia for my childhood playing these games. In a reverse BYOB, they do a BYOF, though — Bring Your Own Food(the bartender said many people order pizza or food from across the street for delivery to the bar). When we went, on a Thursday night, it was packed but there were still enough games for us to jump onto. The cocktails are named after famous people from the 80s and 90s, and my favorite shot was one that was like an orange dreamsicle — ice cream bars for adults. All in all, this a great place for adults who are still kids inside.

What a fun little consept! You buy beer You play games You have fun! I wish they had thought of this sooner lol I really hope they maintain the games and the bar area because I could see how this could go down hill fast. The games are all set to free play, except for pinball, so there is no need to continue drinking, unless you would like. We visited on a Saturday afternoon so it wasn’t too crowded, thankfully! I would love to come here with a big group of people. I also think it would be a fun bachelor/Bachelorette party or a great work team building activity. If I lived in Cleveland, I would absolutely bring my guest here to kill some time.

You can not beat the setting, its so perfect. Genius idea to put our old games from childhood arcades in a bar settings lol. Go beat ninja turtles with a friend while chugging some brewskis! It is loud and immersive — 5 star if that is what you like!

I’m so glad we finally got to 16-Bit. Seriously, what a cool place! It took us a couple tries to actually get here, as they are super busy on weekend nights, and I’m not about crowds, but we finally visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was perfect. I’d definitely recommend coming during the day, the times I drove by at night, the place was packed. I don’t know how you could even play the games when its that crowded. But like I said, Saturday afternoon, it was perfect. First of all, this place has a really modern vibe to it, which I think is really interesting considering they sell 80’s and 90s themed cocktails and you’re there to play old school video games. But the place is very clean and modern and just downright cool. There was a nice crowd, but there were plenty of games open. We were able to hop around and play a lot of the games: Frogger, PacMan, Buger Time, etc. They also had awesome pinball machines, which were my favorite. I thought 50 cents per game of pinball was very reasonable, especially considering all the other games were free. All the drinks on their specialty cocktail menu looked awesome. Some of the names had my boyfriend cracking up, and they honestly all sounded delicious. I tend to stay away from specialty cocktails and go for something simpler instead, But I couldn’t help myself from trying the Winnie Cooper! It was tasty, albeit sweet, but I loved it. Good beer selection too. The two bartenders I interacted with were some of the nicest around. They were both super friendly and helpful, eager to recommend drinks and were busting their butts to keep us customers from waiting too long for drinks. Really the only negative is they don’t serve food. I think they could come up with some really clever names for bar snacks, much like they did for the cocktails, but that’s just me. After a few drinks its sometimes nice to munch on something, but I could see how it could be a problem with messy fingers on the games. After a few hours, we did start to get hungry and left to get food elsewhere. Serving a couple snack definitely would have kept us there longer.

Awesome concept for a bar, and the fact that their drinks are equally awesome gives this place a solid five stars! The staff is attentive, friendly, and great, there are arcade games galore for all your gaming needs, and their drink menu is pretty darn legit. They also have outdoor seating if video games aren’t your thing so there’s something to please every bar-goer. I need to give a shoutout to the punky brewster cocktail. It was recommended to me by someone who frequents the bar often and it’s deeeeeeee-licious.

Great place for a night out. I recommend going on a weeknight, when it’s less crowded, if you want to try multiple games. Little wooden counters next to each machine make it convenient to set your drink down and play a game. Parking behind the building or on nearby streets. Large selection of craft beer, which some unique options.

I’ve been to this place a few times now. What I really have to say is it’s super fun. All the games are free, except for pinball, which makes sense due to the maintenance costs. What I really love about this place is the fact that they have real drinks! They have a cocktail menu! And their cocktails are actually pretty good. They also have a bourbon menu which I found to be pretty impressive for a bar that you play video games at. I don’t drink beer really, but I told the beer list is good as well. The crowd is usually pretty eclectic but really kind of fun. I’m not really sure what else I can say about this place except, if you haven’t been here, you should probably come out sometime soon.

Take the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game + tequila + a crowd that doesn’t make me want to rip my eyes out + free arcade game play and what do you have? One of my favorite places to imbibe! I’m not a pinball person, so when I come to 16-Bit, my money is spent at the bar. They have the Terminator arcade game, you guys. In fact, they have a bunch of old school arcade games that make me squee with joy. Some stick around, other get swapped out, which is really rad in my opinion. They don’t serve food, which can kind of suck. On the other hand, you can bring in whatever you want to eat – and in Lakewood, there’s no shortage of nearby foodings to be had. Think about a take out pizza while playing the TMNT game. Is there anything more perfect? I’d say just about the only thing I don’t like about this place is the single restroom situation. Not only does it suck for the ladies, but I witnessed the confusion it caused for the men, as well. I walked right past a girl who was waiting to the restroom thinking this place would have multiple stalls. Nope. Then I watched a guy walk in on another guy and just start using the urinal while the other dude was using the toilet. No stalls. Ha! I think everyone here makes the same assumption: this bar should have more than one toilet per room.

Drops a few stars. Switched up games. I dig. Dude checkin IDs is cool as hell. I dig. Still do kids days. I dig. Why drop stars you ask? They have ONE bartender on a busy Sunday? Also, I see they brought on board the worst bartender in Lakewood. She is SOLEY the reason me(and at least 7 other people off the top of my head) quit going to Corkys down the street. Miserable piece of work that never smiles, has ANYTHING to say to customers but damn sure will take your tip money. Stick to tanning and getting tattoos to go comouflage the ones ya got on spring break, luv…

First I have to say that this review would be 5 stars if you didn’t have to pay for pinball and/or if they had food. I know that it’s a great money maker because everyone loves pinball, but I live on the east side so if I’m in the mood for pinball or skee ball I’ll save my gas and go to b-side. THATBEINGSAID, this place is awesome. Great drinks and the fact that they let you bring food or have it ordered there is a big plus! They have a great variety of games, most of them are the simple fighting games that have different themes but essentially have all the same functions(TMNT, Simpsons, etc), but they also have a lot of old school classic like Galaxy and Pac Man and the more exciting fighting games like Mortal Combat. A lot of the games are multiplayer as well which is great for groups. They have a great selection of beers and cocktails and ample seating. There are also lots of places around the games to place drinks and personal items to optimize your gaming experience and it isn’t super loud. They also play kick ass 80s music so you can air guitar and lip sync(or actually sing if your so inclined) to your heart’s content. Came here on a last minute date with my guy and had a blast. Got to have a few drinks, kick his ass at Mortal Combat, and get my 80s music fix. I really expected not to like it because it was crowded and really brightly lit, but I ended up having the best night. All in all a great spot, I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Lakewood.

One word: amazing. My boyfriend and I came here on a late Saturday afternoon for the heck of it. It was the first nice day and their little patio was open and the Indians game was on. Loved the throwback arcade games. Sure the drinks weren’t the cheapest but since 98% of the games were free we didn’t care at all. It is well worth the money. I love the vibe this place gives. Great craft beer selection and the drinks all have great names like«John Stamos» and there was a «Sonic the Hedgehog» shot. We will definitely be back!

Definitely a place to check out if you’ve never been. All arcade games are«free,» except pinball. Some of the games weren’t working. The selection is definitely old school; it would be neat if they had some new ones mixed in too. Great beer selection. My recommendations are the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and the Southern Tier 2xpresso. Warning: drinks are expensive. $ 6 beers; $ 8 cocktails. All of the employees were super nice and friendly. They all had smiles on their faces. The place does get crowded, even on a weekday.

This place just makes me so happy! I am a lover of pinball machines and when I see one in a bar I have to check it out. Thank you for having The Simpsons pinball machine! It is by far my most favored one that I have ever played in all my days of pinball! Now, I am not very good at video games but I enjoy playing them. I love that I get a chance to have endless gaming time when I die over and over again. The people that come to this bar are great too! Everyone has a love for throwback video games and when someone notices you hovering they let you have a chance to play or join in! The other reason I love this place… You order a bucket of beer and it comes in a LEGOHEAD!

OMG! Where has this place been all my life? I was referred to this joint from a patron at a bar down the street. I asked for Old Style and was told they have it here, which they do. Now there’s nothing special about Old Style. Matter in fact, it sucks. But it is a Chicago beer, and I’m a Chicago kinda guy. So if I can find it, I drink it. Much to my surprise, not only did they have Old Style, but they also have 49 of her competitors, including my holiday favorite, Southern Tier 2Xmas. But did I mention the bourbon? Blantons, Basil Hayden’s, Angels Envy, and on, and on, and on. The real attraction here are the video games. From Frogger to Tron, Centipede to Gauntlet, there’s gotta be 40 machines in this joint. And a dozen 50″ TVs on the wall, what a play. And lastly, they are BYOF. The F is food. No kitchen, but countless restaurants in the hood you can bring food in from. What a country!

Really cool spot to hang out at and enjoy a delicious cocktail or one of their many beers. They have a lot of Lagunitas on tap which I loved. They have an unlimited number of arcade games which is really fun. Plus, they’re all FREE! The only one you have to pay for is the pinball machine and it’s just 50 cents. I think this would be a great place to start out your night or come celebrate a birthday. Since there is so much to do to keep people occupied while drinking, it’s a win-win. They also have PBR’s for $ 2 all the time if you’re on a budget. The service was okay but the selection of beers made up for the wait. I love the mural on the wall of all the different movie/super hero characters. The entire bathroom is a chalk wall which was creative. I love the design of the space. The only thing I would change is how big it is behind the bar. Having a lot of space behind a bar is great but I would say there’s too much. A lot of walking back and forth that’s for sure. Overall, fun experience and free arcade games is amazing.
