Contact Electric

Took 6 month to finish my job, open footings and trenches for most of that time, only got 500 of the 1000 cash back from CE There financing was way higher than the monthly payment promised had to refinance my home. Never got the rebate from SCE, No refund no sorry no nothing, we have had six neighbors look at the system but have not recommended this company to anyone EVER.

Did an amateur job installing our solar panels and we had problems within a year. When I tried calling them for help I received no response. I have since found out they went out of business with a couple of grievances against them at the BBB. The owner’s name is Erik Clarke and he has probably started another electric business – check out company histories, get local estimates! A local guy (that we are paying to fix the many, many screw-​ups) told us he could have installed several more panels, for more efficient production FOR MUCH LESS MONEY.

I had a great experience with Contact Electric on my solar panel project. The sales representatives, Jeremy and Jordan were professional, personal and informative. They answered any and all questions I had.
Once we got the ball rolling on getting approved and starting the project, we ran into an issue with the city. Now this issue was due to a previous AC job done about 5 years ago in which permits were not completed. I started to stress about this but only for a minute as Courtney was tremendously helpful in getting in contact with the AC company and getting in contact with the city to get this resolved. And I must add that Courtney was very patient with me as it was hard to get a hold of me during the day due to work, so she did almost ALL the leg work.
Next was installation, which was scheduled at a time and day that was convenient for me. The guys were very friendly and cleaned up after themselves. During the installation, it was a bit noisy in the house, but that is to be expected when something is being installed on your roof.
Then came the system turn on, there was a very minor issue there but that was quickly fixed.
I received my tax documents and SCE was notified to indicate that I was using solar panels for energy!
My experience with Contact Electric was very pleasant, actually one of the most pleasant experiences I have had with a project (had a kitchen remodel project and AC project). If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose Contact Electric. I have even referred them to a friend.
