Ace’s slogan is (was?) «Ace is the place for the helpful hardware man.» And they aren’t kidding. They will not only sell you the parts you need (and things are packaged in small amounts, so you aren’t buying a bunch of extra stuff), but they’ll help you fix the problem right then and there. My go to shop for years.

This is the Lake Ridge Ace Hardware and they are wonderful. You need it? They have it. You don’t need it? They have that, too!
I grew up going to hardware stores with my dad and we still can spend way too much time browsing and dreaming. Point is, I know a great hardware store and this is one!

I went here for the first time last night. The staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy. While waiting to get checked out, someone actually noticed the short line of people (3 – 4) waiting and opened up a register to get us through there faster. I will definitely come back if they carry an item I need. The only thing I’d change is to have the person on the phone say «goodbye» or something of that nature to end the call, instead of abruptly hanging up.

Great neighborhood hardware store. It’s a little small, so selection of larger items is limited. However, whenever my husband or I visit, we get great customer service within a minute of entering the store. The associates work one-on-one with you to get you what you need. We never have to go to the larger hardware stores unless we are getting something specific (like renting a truck or a stand for our grill they didn’t carry). Overall, a great experience whenever we are there (the free popcorn definitely helps!)
