I have taken several art classes offered by the Lakewood Arts Council and truly enjoyed them. They also offer exhibitions and works for sale and I have purchased several pieces for my home. The works were reasonably priced and it’s fun to have something original hanging on my walls. My only problem with the location on Union Boulevard was the lack of space for the classes and I am hoping that their soon to open new location on Colfax Avenue will provide a larger space.

I so enjoy this gallery and the folks here. I’d love to see more modern art. Quality of the art is inconsistent, but that is part of the charm. I am hopeful about the new location in Lakewood’s new arts district!
