Lawrence Frerker MD PC

I went to see Dr. Frerker after a change in our insurance made it necessary to switch health care providers. I saw the good reviews here on Unilocal and thought that he might be a good fit. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There were constant billing problems, issues with getting prescriptions sent to our pharmacy, the doctor not answering questions that I had about side effects of a medicine, and it ended with the worst blood draw of my entire life. My son got scared, during his first exam, and froze when the doctor told him to climb on the table. Frerker’s response to a scared 11-​year-​old boy standing naked in front of him was to yell for him to start listening. When Target called the front desk to ask a question Frerker’s staff starting screaming at them so loudly that I could hear it from my side of the counter. With the exception of one young nurse it didn’t seem like anyone cared about us at all.
I don’t say this lightly; don’t trust this man or his staff with your health. He is the worst doctor with some of the worst staff I have ever gone to.

Dr. Frerkeris absolutely wonderful & so is his staff. His new office is great & so much nicer than the old office. I’ve been seeing Dr Frerker for years & he is just the best doctor you will find anywhere. Very down to earth, caring & spends the time to listen to you and answer all your questions. Can’t say enough wonderful things about him!!!

I called to make an appointment and they scheduled me for 3:45 pm, the same day, because I have been fainting. After scheduling the appointment, they informed me that it may not be appropriate for them to see me. They said they’d call me back to send me to the ER if the dr deemed my visit to be unfit… After calling me back to cancel the appointment, they suggested that I see the neurologist-​NOT the ER… They gave me an address and phone number to call. The neurologist reiterated that I need a referral from a primary care physician before they can see me. After recalling to reinstate my appointment to get the referral from this place, they told me it was not possible. I’m confused as to why they turned me away

Dr Frerker has impressed me with his friendliness and how he has consistently gone above-​and-​beyond. Not only has he taken the time to thoroughly answer any questions I have over the phone, but he was also kind enough to take an additional 10 minutes of his time after hours to speak to my girlfriend when she had questions about my office visit. Give him a try. He may be the best doctor you’ve ever had.
The only improvement I can see, as mentioned by another reviewer, is to be more organized with lab results. I had to call several times over several days, lab results were misplaced and couldn’t be found, etc.

Dr. Frerker is very knowledgable and has great bedside manner. His staff are friendly as well. The only complaint I have is that they are a bit slow on getting back to me on lab results, etc. and I wish they had a patient portal as well. It would make it much easier to schedule appointments, ask questions, see lab results… etc. Other than the fact that I’ve had to call multiple times for lab results that had been drawn 10 days prior, I have no complaints!

I’ve been seeing Dr Frerker for many years. I’ve always been overly satisfied with his attention, demeanor & diagnosis. I highly recommend.
