This Dr. treats her employees like dirt! If you’re looking for a dentist that not only will take care of you but also their employees don’t go to her. I don’t recommend her at all.

I hadn’t been to a regular dentist in awhile, so my periodontist recommended Dr. Handshuh. The building’s driveway was difficult to turn into with all the traffic near the mall & from the post office, so I took away 1 star. My fault for making an appointment near lunchtime! The driveway is on a steep slope, so you can’t really stomp the gas pedal & try to beat traffic. Not Dr. Handshuh’s problem, but this is a review of the establishment, as well as the service. Once I pulled in, I saw there was plenty of parking in back of the building.
I followed someone else to the elevator since I was a newbie. Dr. Handshuh’s office was easy to find since it was straight off the elevator. The nice lady at the desk was very friendly & even started a short conversation. The waiting room was small with maybe 8 seats, but very neat & clean. There was a nice selection of magazines to occupy my time, but I didn’t really need ‘em since I was called to the dreaded dental chair within about 10 minutes of my appointment time.
The exam room had real curtains instead of blinds. I know that probably isn’t front page news, but it was nice to see something besides mini-​blinds. Dr. Handshuh & her assistant were laid back & pleasant. She did a thorough exam & her assistant entered info about my teeth into a computer program that marked where & what types of fillings/​crowns I had. While laying back in the chair, I could see my info & xrays on a screen located near the ceiling.
Dr. Handshuh explained everything she was doing & didn’t make me feel like another cow in the herd. I like being treated as an individual, so if I don’t like a dentist, I don’t go back. I walked out of this office smiling, though getting a clean bill of oral health helps with that! Ha ha! I do need 1 filling to be replaced after I get my braces off, so I’ll definitely be going back here again.
