I don’t ever write reviews on Unilocal but I am in the military and have back and neck problems and this place blew my mind. I’ve gone to several massage places in the area I’ve had full body massages to deep tissue massage. Massage at ritz was by far the best place I’ve been to. They are super friendly and the place is so relaxing! Super cheap too! They are definitely worth more than what you pay. :)

I requested an appt with the online service«MyTime» but I received a text from MyTime that they were unable to reach massage at the ritz. No big deal, I’ll just call and set it up. I call and get the machine saying they’re with another client. No big deal, I’ll just leave a message and they’ll call me back. No such luck. They never called me back and every time I called them I got the machine. Hello!!! Is anyone there? I’m very annoyed. how irresponsible!

I’m quite P-I-C-K-Y at whom I let massage or touch me… I was given the opportunity to «fill-in» for a massage with Lisa at the Ritz one morning. Lisa worked my muscles right out of my upper & lower back. She is probably the ONLY one I have actually felt RELIEF from. After the massage I was KNOCKEDOUT for 3 hours!!! now that’s a great massage!

Ok… I have never been here so I’m not rating the Massage Therapist and their work. I’m on here to just review the receptionist at the Ritz. I called this place because I was looking for a massage therapist to treat me for a car accident. I had several questions to ask like«Do you offer Massage Therapy» and«Do you take L&I Insurance»? The receptionist couldn’t answer either questions over the phone. She took down my information and told me that the massage therapist would call back BUT no one ever did. Not sure how they run the business but how can a receptionist at a business not know how to answer simple questions. In my opinion, this is how people lose potential customers. I guess I will take my business somewhere else where they will have better service.

I have been to many massage therapists and I can easily say that kelly is the very best out there – strong hands and great ability make for one relaxing week. I am a client for life!

Once you get past the miniscule reception area and signs asking you to walk quietly,(do I walk loudly? I had never considered this before.) I have not one criticism of Massage at the Ritz. The room was perfectly dim, the music was soft Dido, the linens smelled fresh and the massage therapist was a true professional, so much so that when my hour was up I told her to just keep on going. I left a thousand times more relaxed than when I arrived, and the price was excellent. They accommodated me even though I didn’t make an appointment. I will go again and recommend this to everyone.

I do NOT like getting my back touched. Hate it until I came here. I had been getting some pinched nerves from muscles knots that I would just try to ignore until my husband tried them and said GO. Boy am I sold. Kelly knows exactly what to do to help relieve my pain. I have a high pain tolerance and so I asked for a deep tissue massage kind of expecting it to hurt. Nope, it felt so good and helped me feel so much better. I have been back 3 times since and my husband goes every two weeks and it keeps him sane. I am a client for life. I highly recommend Kelly and Massage at the Ritz as a whole.

As I was searching for a place to get a massage I saw the reviews on here, and recalled some feedback I had heard from family and decided to try the Ritz. I have to say it was a great experience! I haven’t had a massage in probably 5 years or so, and this made me want to book another appt immediately. I went in for a full body relaxation massage, and it was great. I will admit, that the cramped reception area and squeaky floors were a bit off putting, but the staff was extremely professional. They listened carefully to my goals for the masssage and accomodated perfectly. The only reason I I didn’t give a 5 star rating was because it was a cramped space, the bathroom was a bit dingy… not a total luxury experience, but definately exceeds expecations for the price. If they had the same people, in a slightly upgraded location then they could charge a lot more money.

I read the previous review about the $ 40 massage for first time clients and I knew I had to go! I was in need of a good massage because work had really been stressing me out(long hours!) and my neck and upper back were killing me. Plus, I had also slept on my neck all wrong and had a ‘kink’ in my neck that just wouldn’t go away! The last review really convinced me to go. I was first really impressed by the client information sheet. It had a lot medical questions and really detailed questions about different areas of aches and pains — separating joint pain from muscle pain, numbness and tingling in the extremities, headaches and so forth. I am a physical therapy student so these type of questions were all familiar to me, but never have I seen it presented in a massage therapy setting. The place was small and homey — I was impressed with the décor of the massage rooms. The walls were painted warm, earthy colors that really glowed with the candle light so it looked really cozy. Kelly was my therapist, she was warm and informative from the get-go. She asked me follow-up questions about my info sheet and told me she was going to focus on my problem areas. I had never had a deep-tissue massage, but after that one, I am hooked! Every massage I’ve had in my lifetime has not been hard enough — I like my massages painful because then I know they are getting at the knots in my shoulders and upper back that always cause me problems. Kelly was very in tune to my problem areas and found new knots/trigger points that I was completely oblivious to till today. She informed me of all my problem muscles, suggesting the areas I should stretch to prevent future aches/pains/injuries. I was super impressed with her anatomical and biomechanical knowledge! We had a good discussion about our fields of work and I didn’t mind that it was during my massage because I was learning more about my own muscle issues(I’m so used to focusing on my patients aches and pains rather than my own). She even asked me what movements made my neck hurt most and she pinpointed the exact muscles that were the culprits! Very cool! I have much more respect for massage therapists now. After my massage was complete, I was informed that I would be pretty sore since that was my first deep tissue massage. However, I felt so much looser and the ‘kink’ in my neck was abolished! Miracle hands! It is too bad I am only up here temporarily, otherwise I would go back there regularly to get worked on. My job is pretty physical so my neck and back easily get pretty stressed… I’ll have to search for another good deep tissue place closer to home! Now, I will say again, this is not a froo-froo massage place that will just rub oil all over your back. They are working out kinks and stretching out muscles and a lot of it is painful, but feels good after! Make sure you know what you are getting into, especially if you are expecting just a gentle rub down. I’ve had plenty of the other gentle massages and found myself falling asleep and feeling like I had wasted my money paying someone to sleep on their comfy table…

Their billboard read«$ 40 Massage for First Time Clients» — How could one pass this up? I had slept wrong the night before and my neck was in excruciating pain. I mean, I couldn’t even drive there because I couldn’t do «mirror, signal, head check(mostly the head check part). I called in and spoke with Adura one of the massage therapists. We made an appointment for 12:30. I arrived at 12:15 for paperwork. Audra explained that she is mostly a «treatment» therapist meaning she does more of the healing instead of the foofy foof. For this particular visit, treatment for my messed up neck was exactly what I needed. I had no time for tom foolery. The room was warm and dark. I loved the music playing; not your typical classical crap. I think this was a greatest hits CD of love songs and it was louder than music at prior massages. Audra was PHENOMENAL. She did rarely talked and worked out so many kinks from my neck and did a lot of different stretching. Very knowledgeable about massage therapy. AND… she rarely spoke. Even though this was a therapeutic massage, it was also relaxing not to hear someone gabbing. Afterwards, I felt great! I was very happy with my massage. I have a few other LMPs I recommend but for anyone with an injury or a sore spot, I recommend Audra M. Stott at Massage on the Ritz. The price is right(regular price is $ 55 and if you come every 30 days it’s $ 45) so it’s worth at least checking out.
