If you plan on shopping here hold on to your receipt! ! This store can’t do a simple return without it. This is so ridiculous, I had to call main office just get get this handle. Why? Customer Service Is Lacking! I shouldn’t have to do her job for her! She tried to make me feel stupid! Let’s see where this ends! !

I work at a busy civil law firm in Lakewood, California. I am always trying to look sharp, and make sure that my wardrobe reflects the professionalism I am always trying to convey. This is the PERFECT store for me. Not only is their clothing beautiful, but they also have their TALL pants, which accommodate my long legs(I am 5’11!). How exciting is that?! And with their credit card you get lots of rewards. This store can do no wrong in my eyes. I am here almost once per week. My work wardrobe is almost exclusively New York & Company. And when I am dressing for an event or party, I stop here first. I love it!

One of those stores you would only go inside if you have to, which is exactly the reason why I did. I stopped by to return some gifts given to me for my birthday and was surprised it was worth at least $ 40. YAY! Since I had some time to look around I decided to search for a possible purchase and was disappointed with the selection of clothing. Sales items are located near the registers. The clothes were unorganized and were mostly large sizes. I noticed some of the sales items were even damaged. I honestly tried my best to find something or anything that caught my eye in exchange, but wasted a good 30mins. Since sales are not exactly busy I noticed only one salesperson along with her manager. Both need some help with their customer service. When I first walked in the store the manager was more concerned about me buying something else because she knew I was returning. WTF. Next time just say hello first, Manager! The other employee working that day was new and looked just as less interested in my shopping experience as her manager. All I wanted was to return my gifts and get my store credit. This may possibly be my first and last visit in the store. I felt the moving space in the store was limited and crowded. Colors were pitiful and screamed Yelllllooooow and Blllluuuee! I would never recommend going into the store in large groups because you would probably just fight over space. I can only imagine how it must be during the holidays with young children being lost in the crowd. Whoa. I rather go to the New York & Company in Cerritos Mall. The store needs help with visual, sales items, and most of all CUSTOMERSERVICE. Trust me. At least one of these areas may boost your sales.
