Donuts are freshly made, and you can really tell a difference. This place puts Krispy Kreme to shame. Would eat this every day if I didn’t mind being fat.

I’ve driven by this place probably a hundred times and never even noticed it. Being away from the area for the past year definitely has me appreciating what I once had, so while I’m in town for a few weeks, I’m trying to cross some things off of my bookmarks list, especially those that have been on it for a couple years now. The girl behind the counter was friendly and quick to answer all my questions, letting me know that the old-fashioned buttermilk was her favorite and that the red velvet was really popular. I decided to get both of those, plus a maple bacon and a plain glazed. When I got home to start pigging out, I opened the box and was surprised by the size of them. I didn’t realize how big they were when I looked at them in the shop. Then I noticed there were 2 of the buttermilk. The girl must have misunderstood me, but no big deal. 5 donuts for 6 bucks and some change? Totally worth it. Anyway, I ate one of the buttermilk ones first, and it was good, but it was way too much. I wish I’d had saved half for later. I had the red velvet the next day(this morning), and I really enjoyed the cream cheese frosting. It was like actual cream cheese but sweetened ever so slightly without being sugary. It’s my favorite so far. Hopefully the rest will hold up for another day or so because I don’t think I can bring myself to eat anymore today. I think next time I’ll stick to getting 1 or 2 instead of 4 or 5. Are these the best donuts I’ve ever had? No. Donut Shack in the Annapolis area, along with Blue Star in Portland still top that list for me — and for the record, I think Voodoo has the worst donuts I’ve ever eaten in my life — but they are still pretty great here, and I would definitely come back.

This by far is my most favorite doughnut place! It has been my entire life. My dad used to take me here as a child and now I take my own child here. The doughnuts are huge warm and so soft. A must try!

As far as donuts are concerned, House of Donuts ranks up there with the best(the best in my opinion being Country-Style Donuts & Sugar Shack, both being east-coast bakeries where I live). Delicious donuts and great-tasting coffee what else could you ask for!

Simply delicious i actually went late in the afternoon like an hour before they closed. The donuts still had that good fresh taste and were nice and soft. They also had a pretty big selection to be so late in the day… most places will have all the leftover donuts no one wanted and they are all hard and dried out. This place was great!

The best donuts I’ve ever had. Leagues above that frosted bread they call donuts at grocery stores, and way better than the sickly sweet — «you have to try them when they’re hot» — lard balls from Krispy Kreme. House of donuts serves huge, soft, lighter than air, peices of heaven.

I have been enjoying the House of Donuts for as long as I can remember. My parents would often take us there after church on Sundays. To this day, I often stop in for a donut for myself. I pick up a few if I am going visit friends for family. Who doesn’t love donuts? These are the best I have ever had. I have many fond memories. I wish I was there right now!

Never had a bad doughnut here! The best in the Pacific North West! I recommend the blueberry, the original glaze, & the maple bacon! By far these doughnuts are better than voodoo, legendary doughnuts, Krispy cream and so on! Worth a try if you are in the area!

I’m a regular at Blue Star in PDX, been to Top Pot a few times and((shudder)) Voodoo Yuck!!!(Still regretting that tourist trap, 10 years on.) Original definitely has a niche and I get it. They aren’t over the top. But they are perfect in their own way. Wonderful, delicious yeast doughnuts with just right toppings. We ordered the chocolate bar, the glazed French cruller, a maple cruller and a blueberry raised. We loved them, savored them.(Other half thought the maple a tad too sweet.) We waxed poetically about the merits of a good yeast doughnut versus a cake doughnut. How the skill required to make a good yeast doughnut is far more demanding and is telling of the nature of the baker. That this is the hallmark of all that is good and right in America and that is what will save us all in the end… Doughnuts.

I have been going here for as long as I can remember. I have been all over the country and have not had a better donut. This is better than Dunkin, Krispy, Voodoo, and BlueStar. There is not a single bad donut in the house. Keep up the great work! Their Maple Bacon Bar has REAL bacon on it!

Yummy doughnuts. I had the custard filled doughnut and a maple bar which was free if you check in on Unilocal. It’s a small place so there’s no place for you to sit and enjoy it. Definitely will be coming back if I’m craving for some gluten dessert.

The best donuts I have had in my entire life! The French Cruller’s are amazing and perfection at its best! When it sold some time back I was concerned but the new owners got the recipes and have held up to the super high standard for donuts. Sat and Sun mornings the lines can be long but it moves pretty quickly and when you are being served you definitely get the impression from the staff they are there to serve you and take your time! It’s not easy to select only a dozen when there are so many options. While in Lakewood, this is a must stop! yummers!

These are the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life. This place is small and gets crowded, but I can’t blame that on the business, these donuts are seriously amazing. They taste fresh and rich and delicious. The staff is friendly and the prices are comparable to other donut shops. The difference is the quality, these guys really go out of their way and make some amazing donuts.

Had to stop by for breakfast! These donuts are large and by large I mean as big as your face! They had a bunch of unique flavors that I have never ran into in other donut places such as: Banana Mint Peanut butter Raised blueberry ice Overall it was a good donut. I personally like the taste of warm fresh glazed donuts but these were still good. My favorite was the cherry iced

Great selection of doughnuts! All sorts of sizes, Flavors and colors. Doughnuts are a bit sweeter. The first time I went, I got the Maple Bacon doughnut, and it was HUGE! Definitely big enough to share. Bacon was definitely tasted throughout each bite, which some doughnuts shop tend to lack. Similar to many other doughnut shops around. However, prices are a bit high. Not exactly affordable on a day-to-day basis. The customer service here is just lovely. The employees are helpful, and not to mention kind. The ambience was casual with a little bit of a retro-like style to it. It was kept clean and tidy.

Best donuts in the Lakewood/Tacoma area. They have a drive-thru, OR you can make it a quick stop inside because OHOD has plenty of workers and great customer service. My favorite are their huge maple bars.
