Walton Donuts

Ok, so I’m not a big donut fan.
That said, this place has the BEST donuts in Denver. Period.
It’s small, local, clean and friendly. Every time I’m in the Solterra community I make an effort to get me a chocolate milk and a cream filled donut.
Support an outstanding local business and give this place a shot!

Pretty sure they just buy their donuts from Safeway next door and then mark them up 25%. Donut arbitrage. Great business idea, subpar donuts.

Inexpensive and CONSISTENT. Their donuts are cooked the same every time, the glazes are smooth and done right. I don’t get raw dough, crunchy cake or crunchy frosting. When I go in, I know what I am getting unlike some of the donut places around here. Unfortunately their selection is nothing special, just the usual. They could really use this opportunity to stand out. As it is, they probably lose a lot of business just being in the same parking lot as Safeway who has the same selection of donuts and is fairly consistent as well.

Affordable and friendly. Stopped in for a quick coffee. Tasted great! Nothing fancy, but it felt great to escape the Starbucks rut and support a locally owned business.

I like everything I experienced. $ 0.89 donuts. Glazed. Filled. Jelly. Cream. Chocolate. Sprinkles. This place is on the north side of the Heritage West Safeway Plaza, close to Little Caesars. Walton’s opens early for the true donut lover. Look, this isn’t Voodoo or some other place that pours a box of cereal and maple syrup on your donuts (at least not yet). This is a good olé donut shop with plain boring walls and too much yellow in certain places. It’s all about the donut. Sure, there’s a little grease on your napkin, but that’s how you know they’re not messing around. Look, I don’t eat donuts because I’m a health nut or looking to slim my physique. Walton’s takes donut making seriously, and from my first experience, I see no reason not to return many times. Here’s to cream-​filled chocolate bars and bear paws!
