Went there tonight at 6pm, table of 10, we ordered, food came out an hour and a half later, and not all of it at the same time, half the table had to wait longer. Someone came out from the kitchen and tried to explain the long wait, and blamed it on the ahi tuna appetizer, really!!! That held all of the other food up from coming out. Clearly she had no idea what she was talking about! Had 2 kids that were starving and got very restless. The food was ok, but not worth the wait!!! I doubt this place will be in business for long. I know I will not go back again! Apparently they need a new manager!

Neat location, great beer selection, mediocre food, terrible service. I would only come back here if I had time to spare and wanted a beer for happy hour. The server never checked in on us, never offered condiments, and had to be flagged down by someone else just to get the check. Doubt I will come back.

Wow I am shocked by the bad reviews. The food was freaking amazing!!! The wings were huge and still crispy and delicious. We got the pretzel boli and are definitely fans. I will definitely be back to try more menu items. I could have used a bottle of hot sauce at the table but that is just me. The sweet heat sauce is amazing though! People who complain about slow service are the worst. If food is prepared with care and is fresh I don’t care how long I wait. Which by the way, the service I received was fast and friendly!!!

I seriously don’t know what all the bad reviews are about. This place is spotless. It looked like they built it yesterday. The place has a good sports bar vibe, lots of beer choices(40), BBQ, pizza, burgers, etc. What else do you need? There are tvs everywhere, light, a deck, super clean bathroom, extremely nice down to earth and friendly waiter(I don’t know his name but lots of cool ear piercings). The food we got was okay. I liked the BBQ sauces and fries. The tomato soup comes with these fried pita things which are out of control good. Not the best pulled pork or brisket but this isn’t a BBQ joint. This is a good place to hang out with people. Props to the manager, Dee.

You walk in and its an old sports bar — you can tell that the bar used to be smoke filled. Defintley a dive type of place. Me and my guests were really dissapointed with everything about the experience. Food took forever and a day(roughly 50 mins) to come out. And when it did — it seemed like it was cold and sitting around! Overpriced, not clean, mediocre food. Won’t be back here! Its a bitch to enter the parking lot from the busy, busy road — and place wasnt crowded. Please tell me why my guests and I waited ALMOSTANHOUR for gross food? Never again! We will forver be skipping this place! Don’t go!

I’ve been back several times since my first review and have had a much better experience. Everyone was very friendly and the food has been great. The slow smoked wings are absolutely amazing! My wife just loves the pizza here, she’s very picky about that and this is one of the few places she really looks forward to eating pizza.

Took almost an hour for our food to come out. The bbq brisket was over done and sitting in a pool of grease. The fries were pretty good but not worth waiting for. Server never refilled waters and had to be prompted to bring the bill. After two hours the abundance of televisions began to become annoying. Kids menu was limited to fries and more fries, although the chicken tender batter was pretty good. Of course anything tastes good when you’re starving and have been waiting an hour. Waiting was strange because there was no one there. I guess everyone knew of the bad service and food before us.

First time here, we were meeting friends. We were seated immediately. However it took close to an hour to get our food. I was ok with that because we were having great conversation. Four out of the five beers we wanted they were sold out. My friends said that happened before. Menu was typical bar food. I got the pretzel boli because I heard good things about it. It was horrible! Way over cooked, didn’t even taste like a pretzel and something tasted funny. My husband said his burger was tasty though. Not much attention paid to our table. Beer was pricy. Won’t be hurrying back

Tuck away off the busy hustle and bustle of Centerville Road lies this little gem of a pizza shop. It is a pizza shop right? Often seeing the parking lot crammed full we(my wife, 2 kids, and myself) decided to take a gamble when we noticed the lot wasn’t as packed and stopped by for dinner. The interior is sports bar themed with televisions every which way, filled with industrial flare in the décor and seating. The atmosphere seemed busy with so much going on all around us that it took a moment for it all to sink in. The service was poor at best. As we sat down the place became very very busy as more people filed in and filled the once vacant spots around us. Our waiter had too much on his plate and often neglected to keep tabs on us– judging by the grumbles of neighboring tables and the yelling of a disappointed customer, I soon realized we weren’t the only ones. Our food took over an hour to reach our table. Once we got our warm food we noticed our order wasn’t 100% right, but having waited so long we just picked at what was presented. Overall I was extremely displeased. Our waiter was not capable of attending to the amount of tables assigned to him, I felt bad and could visibly see his night was going worse than ours, so we paid our tab and left. I can’t say that the food was impressive or made up for the extreme wait or even the crowd that had formed at the front door.

The food is good, and they have a good selection of craft beers. At times, the service can be slow, but we have had mostly good experiences, and we eat there regularly.

While I am not a big fan of the indoor seating, this place does have a small deck, and the potential for a much bigger one(hint hint). Regardless of where you sit though, your food will be good. They have a variety of mouthwatering sandwiches that have unique flavor paring including pineapple and bbq, pretzel-bolis, and even a pretzel burger. The have a nice selection of pizzas and appetizers as well. Something else that makes this place stand out are the names of the menu items. Things like Pull My Pork and the Godzilla Wrap top the list. And if you think the Godzilla Wrap is named solely for its size you’re wrong –but you’ll have to order it to see. I really enjoyed coming here with family. We each ordered something different, and then like a group of geniuses, asked for a knife to cut and share. I recommend you do the same. There is no point in everyone eating the sandwich that sounds the best when you can each order something different and place wagers on who chose best –it’s fun and filling! In terms of a pizza and sub shop, this place tops my list.

Since my last review we’ve been here at least once a week, sometimes twice. I’ve ordered other items and so has my significant other and can say there hasn’t been anything we tried and wouldn’t order again. Although service is still a little hit or miss and as often as we come we never see the same staff member twice it does seem to be improving. They recently added a take out menu which we are thankful for and with that addition we will probably be dining here even more often.

Nothing special. Good atmosphere but low quality food. Wings are good. Nachos are a greasy mess. Craft beer prices not listed on the menu and seem to change constantly. It’s also extremely loud inside. One stand out item is the pretzel wrapped Stromboli. It’s worth giving the place a try just to experience it.

Me and two buddies went here around the first week or two after it opened up. The inside of the place is OK and the waiters were friendly but the food was pretty mediocre and from the list of the trendy beers they had most were out of stock anyways. I’m really starting to get tired of these«brew pub» places with overpriced, mediocre pub burgers and advertising wide selections of beer but most out of stock. I had one of those pretzel burgers and it wasn’t anything special. I don’t recall off-hand what my buddies had but they agreed it wasn’t anything special and a waste of money as well.

This was my first time at the Crazy Tomato; however, I was with my Parents who have been there many times before. We went at about 7pm on a Wednesday evening. We were seated promptly and it was about half full that night. Our party each had a drink, which I thought my drink was excellent. We shared the Kicken Srirchacha Pizza and the Traditional Pretzel Boli. We thought the Pizza was solid and very good; however, not excellent. We thought the Pretzel Boli was awesome! Our server was so incredibly friendly; however, the hostess was miserable. Seriously, she was the worst first impression of a restaurant ever. Although I do say that, the server was so friendly that we definitely forgot about the hostess by about midway through the meal.

Decided to try this place after leaving Ruffino’s Pizza nearby which I wanted to try since its reviews here were good, but I was immediately turned off when I saw the sign on the entrance door announcing the death of the owner(John Ruffino) nearly a year ago(July 2014) and the only pizza they had available for slices was a dry looking cheese pie. The«Now Open» sign outside of Crazy Tomato caught my eye, so I investigated the establishment. The college-aged hostess was a bit of a B… but the server, Laura, more than made up for it in the good service and food suggestions she provided. I had no idea what to order as I’m not a fan of greasy burgers, junk food and the like, but do stray off the ranch on occasion to explore and not be so rigid. I love charbroiled wings and ordered a small portion($ 6.49 for 5) with the hottest sauce they had(Crazy Hot they call it). I asked for them to be burned(charred) but the cook didn’t make them that way, so I sent them back to do as I ordered. They came back just fine and tasted great, albeit not real meaty, but few places have meaty wings, so no biggie. The prices are a bit high, so that added to my difficulty selecting something from the menu, as I’m on a tight budget. $ 10.99 for a veggie sandwich, $ 9.99 grilled cheese sandwich, $ 7.99 wedge salad, $ 9.99 geek salad, $ 11.99 nacho appetizer, and $ 9.99 for a plain old cheese burger is out of my league for that. Laura suggested the pretzel stromboli as I wanted something Italian — like and like soft pretzels. I ordered mine extra crispy($ 9.99). It came out as ordered and tasted good with the ham, onions, cheese and peppers i asked for inside($ 1.50 extra for the ham). I was shocked at the price of a glass of wine — $ 9.99(I see a pricing pattern here). Still, it was good. The atmosphere is noisy but comfortable and I didn’t mind the noise at all. In fact, I read a chapter in a book while there. I won’t be back because of the price, but if you can afford it, by all means, check it out. I gave it just 2 stars based on price and the hostess’ poor attitude, otherwise I would have given it 3 stars.

The Crazy Tomato is a very interesting eatery. We went during opening week and the service was very good considering most of the staff was still in the training process. The atmosphere feels very sports bar like with about 29 tv’s hanging through out the restaurant. Seating wise there are about 20 tables with additional seating on the deck. The menu is manageable and offers a number of options without being too overwhelming. There is a limited kids menu(chicken tenders, grilled cheese, or a cheeseburger). The pie and Stromboli menus are what the restaurant is known for and do not disappoint. Our party ordered an appetizer, two personal pies, two beer flights, a pint, and the brisket entrée, bringing the total to $ 68.00. I thought the price was reasonable given the unique menu items and 30+ beers on tap. Well worth trying!
