Went Father’s Day. It was crazy busy. The staff tried hard to keep up. Its odd to me that the pan that had mashed potatoes in it… was the size you’d be serving at a family dinner. Still a good place. It’s strange that the waitress had to go back to the line were you pay to get a refill.

I wish I could be more objective about our non-dining experience, I really do. However, there were 8 people ahead of us in line when we showed up, and 40 minutes later, there was 8 people ahead of us. The line was snaking around the place as the cashier remained confused over some problem that required a team of 6 people to investigate. Just one register, during prime time hours. Then a waitress came out and announced parties over 5 would be impossible to seat, parties of 3 or 4 would wait an additional hour. We got fed up(or really, non-fed up). We left in disgust. Never again. At least they got the Corral part accurate.

The food was burned and you could tell it was sitting way to long. They didn’t have the good food variety like other locations. Just mostly cheep old crap. You can tell this franchise is a slummy businessman and extremely cheep/greedy. Golden Corral is usually good buffet chain but the company obviously overlooks this location. Don’t waste your time and money with this location unless you want to be ripped off and sick

Cold food; not many options and way over priced!!! Staff very rude! It needed to be cleaned badly! The bathrooms were decent! A lot of food was way over cooked and cold; the only savior was the dessert and that was the ice cream! Very saddening

Went to the Golden Corral — 2654 — Lancaster, PA On Easter Sunday March 27, 2016 with my wife, sister-n-law and brother-n-law at about 1630 hours for Easter dinner to find the line wrapped around the outside of the building; that was a shocker. Rarely do I ever stand line waiting to eat at any place for maybe more than 5-minutes but I have been waiting all week to go here and we drove from York to Lancaster, PA to do so, so I sucked it up and waited. The line moved rather quickly and finally at about 1704 hours I finished up at the cash register after which we were shown to our table for four which was truthfully rather cramped to sit four adults. THENEGATIVE — The only negative comment which has nothing to do with the food or cleanliness of the restaurant has to deal with all of the kids running around like animals; it was somewhat of a turnoff. These unsupervised disrespectful children ranging from ages about 4 years old to their young teen years had no common courtesy for anyone or anything beside themselves; hey this is a restaurant, not a playground. This involved all ethnic cultures, true kayos running amuck with no Adult Supervision from their parents or whoever was saddened with that duty for the day ANDVERYSAD as the management of Golden Corral did nothing to put a stop to this type of unacceptable behavior from the little hell-raising animals. That’s right; they act like animals in the wild that were not taught to interact with normal humans. Kids running full speed throughout the restaurant, bumping into customers who were trying to weave around one another to get food in this very over-crowded establishment as the place was packed with no spare tables. And these brats did not discriminate on who they bothered as many older and some physically challenged adults were put in risk of injury due to this unacceptable behavior. SHAMEONGOLDENCORRALMANAGEMENT to allow and condone this type of behavior… The tables were constantly filled. As soon as someone left the tables they was cleaned and another party was seated. I was not raised like this back in the 50’s and 70’s but today’s children are not taught respect at home, schools or anywhere so I guess that is our future. uncultured animals who will appropriate, raise and guide the same type of brats into generations to come, just the way they were. THEPOSITIVES — Other than the non-supervised disrespectful brats running around the food was amazing for the most part. The Prime-Rib was mouth watering and plenty of it. They had Sirloin Steak cooked to order which had a really good taste and the Country Ham was good but I had better there before as the taste was off a little at least for me that day. I did make the mistake of getting their large butterfly shrimp on the same plate as my Prime-Rib because I did not want to carry two plates or make another trip just to get shrimp but I should have because the shrimp got soggy from the Prime-Rib juice and were not as enjoyable as I hoped for. That said the shrimp were big and tasty if you do not mind eating soggy shrimp, but that was on me for mixing fried with juicy steak. I did go up for a second plate and just got a couple of the butterfly shrimp on a separate plate and those were amazing. The corn-on-the-cob had a great taste and very enjoyable to eat. I had a couple of Brussels’-sprouts and they were really good too. Everyone at my table had nothing but good to say about the food. The time we waited in line, until we got seated was well worth the wait for the quality and quantity of food provided by Golden Corral for our consumption. The soda, it was Pepsi and what more could you ask for! The restaurant was clean and spacious and the restrooms were clean. The electric hand dryers worked outstanding and actually dried your hands unlike most used today. Plenty of parking was available. The wait staffs were personable and regularly attended to your needs. I give the food 5-Stars BUT management get 1-Star for the allowing the above rowdiness leading to a less-than enjoyable dinning experience(another point deduction) which equals an overall score of 3-Stars for me.

Just ate there. The food was tasty, delicious. Restaurant was clean and restrooms were too. Reasonable price for a lunch buffet with ALL those selections.

For the price, it’s pretty good. The only thing I would change is the sanitation. Some of the utensils seemed to be dirty and the cups used for the soda seemed to be chewed up on the rim of the cup. Overall, pretty good.

I love this place second time eating in this chain restaurant. First time was in Williamsburg Virginia. The food is amazing and the price is so cheap. I love it. Thank god for buffets like this my opinion 5 stars. Im from Queens New York. I’m hoping one day we will get a Golden Corral.

Absolutely horrible. We usually like Golden Corrals, but this is our second terrible experience here, so I am sharing. We came at 3pm on Saturday, the place was packed, but we didn’t have a wait. Hardly surprising; most of the food was burnt and inedible. The meatloaf was literally black, but they had tried to cover it with the ketchup sauce. When I pointed it out to the buffet attendant and told her they couldn’t possibly serve that, she nodded and said she would take care of it. It sat there for another ten minutes until people took it all(I guess some people will eat anything) when they brought ANOTHEREQUALLYBLACKMEATLOAF. I got a piece, just to see if I was going color blind. It was so hard from being so badly burnt that I literally couldn’t even cut it. It just crumbled, like ash. The bacon was the same way; so burnt that it literally crumble into piece when you picked it up– there was no piece bigger than a quarter. ANDTHEYWERESERVINGITANDLEAVINGITOUTTHEREUNTILPEOPLETOOKIT!!! The sign stated it was Prime Rib weekend, but apparently Prime Rib didn’t start until 4pm, which kind of stank. Anyway, overall, stuff was cold, burnt, or they were out of it. I’ve never been anywhere where they served stuff that was entirely black and expected their customers to eat it, and refused to replace it until they did. And then replaced it with another burnt, black dish. Bizarre. We will never be going there again.

We ate here around 3 pm on a Saturday after we had driven from Wisconsin. The line was out the door but we decided to wait. We were finally seated and we helped our self to the buffet. This was the best Golden Corral I’ve ever been to. The food was fresh and there were many employees taking care of everything. Our waitress was great; she refilled our drinks often and took our empty plates. She was talking with many guests and knew what she was doing. When we got to desert she asked us if we wanted a cup of coffee with our cake and brought us out some with creamer on the side. Only downside was that I went to use the restroom after we were seated and it was jam packed with only a few stalls and 2 sinks. 2 customers decided they would hog the sink area and brush their teeth. Not something that the restaurant had much control over.

I like the concept of how many stations of food selections they have. However, to me, the food doesn’t taste as great though. On the night I went, the lines for steak was so long that the people block the way of getting to the vegetables. So I felt like I was cutting in their line when I was really just trying to get some vegetables ! I love their customer service though, all the workers are super friendly.

We passed several of these in our travels and finally decided to stop in. We were looking for variety of food. We were not disappointed. It is similar to a Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes, but with a larger selection. Nice salad bar and nice selection of hot food. Deserts were edible but no standouts. Drinks were not included with the buffet price. The restaurant was clean and the bus service was efficient. A solid 3 star. We would go back.

Figured we could try a buffet and heard decent things about this franchise. If you want to feel like you are eating Hospital or Airplane food this is the place for you.

Last Tuesday evening after a day at Dutch Wonderland I took my daughter her husband and my grandson who is 4 years old to eat as it is advertised kids night! To my surprise when we requested chocolate milk we were informed it was not available for dinner meals and then we asked for white milk and told the same! Options were sugar drinks or water for my grandson! Not acceptable! We also asked for a bottle of steak sauce bcs the one on our table was empty upon our arrival, I reached to table behind me and surprise that was empty also. After observing the server I realized a new bottle was not coming I went to another table and found some myself. I have been an avid fan of Golden Corral for past seven years with first visit in Fl. Then traveling to Ben Salem, Lebanon and then Allentown seeing cuts in menu in different locations from Splenda to lemonade to now Milk! Losing my likeness for Golden Corral. Hopefully the Corporate Management will step up and see that milk is available for our children and grandchildren!

I always heard Golden Corral was good so my girlfriend and I tried them. Food was subpar at best. Fried chicken didn’t taste like anything. The sausage gravy tasted like they mixed flour and water together and the corn seemed like it was grown in a fish tank. I thought it would be better than old country buffet, but after the bad experience at Golden Corral, I would rather go to old country buffet any day.

Had high expectations for this place. Good points — The floors and tables were kept immaculate. The signs and counters looked professionally done. The desserts were pretty good. The breakfast bar was also very good. Food that needed help — The fried chicken was terrible. Some had too much breading that was overdone. One batch of chicken came out with a thin batter and tasted oily. The ribs were thrown on a pan — over done and all over the place. The steak was medium rare but tough. Corn tastes OK — not the kind you fin in the Penn Dutch county. Fried shrimp — small and too much breading. Ham OK — Not as good as the Penn Dutch kind Clam Chowder — tasteless. Most other dishes acceptable to very good. Being Southern thought the fried chicken would rock — no luck Average restaurant for and average price. Will be looking elsewhere next time

Similar to other Golden Corrals that I’ve been to. Drinks don’t get served or refilled. Have to ask repeatedly for the same thing. Food is excellent though.

Good food. Wide range of items, mostly American food. Also have breakfast and dessert bar. Very bright and family friendly. A bit pricey though, as I spent $ 33 for two people on a Friday night.

What a wonderful place. Lancaster was seriously lacking choices in family dining, until Golden Corral came into the town. How could one not enjoy this place? It has something for everyone. Vegetarian? Check! Meat-lover? Check! On a diet? Check! It is entirely up to you. I’ve been to numerous Golden Corrals across the eastern coast and I love this design and the set up and choices it offers. Place is clean, staff is friendly and kind, these servers hustle, and you can get exactly what you want without waiting. It’s fantastic. I do want to say also that management team here does wonderful job. I spoke with a heavy set gentleman and he was very courteous and knowledgeable about his menu and made sure my experience was enjoyable! I will definitely be back to this location.

There was a hair inside a hush puppy. You would think a new business would be more contientous about cleanliness and public health. I was grossed out & could not eat after that After speaking to the manager he blamed the customers for the hair it was absolutely not the customers b/c the hair was in the middle in the breading. I found that very disrespectful and offensive. Paying almost $ 30.00 for lunch for two you expect better & also being a new restaurant you would think there standards would be higher as well. Very sad & disappointing.
