If your gonna get a combination platter just know they have some plain rice I don’t even think it’s fried rice more like brown rice. i got the boneless spare ribs and that was average my wife got honey chicken and that was pretty good. The crab Rangoon was really good though. I don’t know how the lo meign or however you spell it tastes but I think anything would’ve been better than that rice.

I had lunch here and got my favorite dish, Beef Ho Fun. I kind of use Beef Ho Fun as a best-dish-to-rate a chinese restaurant, along with Lo Mein. If you mess these up, you’re not worth going to, imo. Let me speak to the main dish. It was AMAZING. I mean, wow. Lots of flavor and not too many sprouts. I think it’s a cheap tactic to use tons of sprouts to flavor beef dishes… and they do not do that here! I had loads of flat noodles. The best part! The beef was a good texture and super flavorful. I’d go back here for their food any time! The service was super slow. I was on a break and had to hork down my food to get back too work in time. The hot tea was nothing special. The ambiance is old school but a little run down. The waiter and hostess seemed to me to be the owners. No great service but nothing to complain about. i highly recommend this place! I’m just sorry I didn’t get to try more foods!

First timer trying to avoid the chains on Lancaster Pike and fortunately found this gem online. Got there very late in the evening not long before closing and treated right start to finish. Dumplings, Singapore Noodles, Beef w/garlic sauce, shrimp & scallop w/mixed veg & a General’s Chicken all very well done. Definitely some more«home cookin» being done at this place than most of your Chinese take outs. The General’s chicken, the most American-ized dish out there, was clearly a step above the pre-frozen giant bag of nonsense in most of your takeouts. The Singapore noodles, expertly made with pork & shrimp in every bite, were a notch above and worth a return alone. Friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere for dining in.

Ok, I love Chinese and eat it where ever my travels take me. Thanks to my friends at Unilocal I found a good one in Lancaster, PA. The Egg Rolls are very good… little shrimp in them. Tasty. It seems like it is getting harder and harder to find a Chinese Place with really good egg rolls but this one does. I have had their Fried Dumplings… loved them. First time I had a House Speciality Beef and Scallop dish in a brown garlic sauce and really liked it. Next time I had Shrimp Fried Rice and it also was good with plenty of good size shrimp. Grand China Restaurant is a good choice in Lancaster.

Not your average Chinese place. Pros: Decent portion sizes They will customize to your needs Great selection(including vegetarians) Not expensive Super easy to get to and tons of parking Highly recommended if you are in the area and looking for Chinese

I dont know whats wrong with all the people who giv good reviews, back in 2008 wen i worked down the street, i took a take out menu i guess and sat at a table, two people disturbingly hovered me as i looked over the menu which was very unconfortable. I guess i was being rushed, so i quickly chose something i didnt even want. to get them away from me. Then the guy demanded a tip. Well i never went back, until last month my girlfriend wanted chinese food, i figure ill jus get one meal since chinese food is usually filling, were split it, i ordered that general tso and fried rice, paid maximum price i ever seen. Like ten dollars, it was 6 or 7 pieces of chicken, and first time i ever seen chinese fried rice be all one color, and taste like nothing, never going back. Wasnt even enough for one person. They obviously only sell beer cuz they r desperate, you middle class and rich ppl who bougght food here are so dum, theres better places to go

Definitely the best Chinese food in the area! The owner is a painter and his art adorns the walls; it’s a charming and cozy little place. The food is a cut above your standard fare, with homemade brown sauce and great shacha chicken. We’ve never had anything that hasn’t been fresh, hot and delicious, and it’s a great place for takeout.

Strong up the middle. I have eaten here probably 25 – 30 times in my life(over the course of 6 years). If I was given an ultimatum that required me to eat out every night for dinner or else lose my sense of taste, this would make my weekly list. The shrimp with black bean sauce, shrimp with lobster sauce & eggplant with garlic sauce are my top 3. Enjoy, I do every time.

ABSOLUTELY, hands-down the BEST Chinese food in the area! DON’T believe the hype about the tourist traps or other places in badder parts of Lancaster! I have a very refined palate and GC on Oregon Pk can’t be beat!

Honestly, this place is one of the better Chinese restaurants in Lancaster. Food is consistant, meats are cooked to perfection and soups are just right. This place makes their own noodles and wontons. If you want something SPICY, they will make it so true to their word, unlike other places that wimp out. Whenever we go it’s often filled with regulars. My husband and I lived in Philly for a time, and I would have to say they are as close as you’ll get to what you’ll find in Chinatown.

Standard Chinese fare, but it is consistently good. Much better than the Chinese buffets around here. The sesame chicken is delicious, as well as their steamed dumplings.

If you like Chinese food, this is a good pick. The décor inside is a little outdated but the food is good. Prices are fair and so are the portions. I haven’t been there for lunch in years, but it used to be good spot to eat lunch with good lunch specials. I think Grand China is one of, if not the only, Chinese restaurant in all of Lancaster County that serves alcohol. So if you’re looking to have a few beers and satisfy a craving for Chinese food, this is the spot.

ho-hum.this place wasn’t as great as back home but the tofu and clay pot dishes were good. when i walked in, i noticed that everyone eating there was white and the waiters were the only Chinese i knew of lol Service was good only if u spoke Cantonese but its a bit biased cuz all the waiters ever yap about is how rude white people are. well anyways, service, food and sanitation was ok. 3 stars on this place.
