This office is located inside of a shopping center on Pleasant Run Rd and I-35 South. Right next to the movie theater. Small office, front desk staff are not very nice. Dr Weatherly was not available so I saw her NP Kim. She is very personable, takes her time to listen to you, does not rush through your care. She gave me some meds on site for the pain, and follow up meds. Tip for avoiding the wait? Go through the week in the afternoon when no kids are out of school, and its not a federal holiday. Definitely before 3pm. They had me in and out in 35 minutes.

Well, look the main reason I stay at this Doc’s office is because of the proximity. However I will have to just travel because I am no longer feeling I want to stick around. The Doctor is pleasant(when you can get her) or wait longer on her celebrity wait list. The doctor should schedule a personal visit every few months with their patients if nothing more than to be personable. The customer service has improved because there was this one particular front desk woman who as far as I can tell, is no longer there. She was sour. They implemented a wood chip idea at one point but I guess that was an epic fail. The wait time. O M G. Its is a really long time to get seen.(unless you are lucky) If you go to the movie theater located across the parking lot, you may come back with five minutes to spare to be seen by a nurse. If you at anytime owe any co-pays or other fees… you will be seen immediately in another«faster approach» room. Look this is a family practice that just doesn’t seem warm and inviting. There is not a TV for entertainment, it only plays uninteresting health related ads. Good things… some of the CNA’s(I think that’s what they are) are nice. The nurse practitioner’s are efficient. Near a movie theater. My advice for this place is to make the waiting room seem at least more alive(watch a decorating show or something), call people in(with no additional fee) for a follow up consultation to discuss labs. Doctors offices in North Dallas seem somewhat better in the waiting room décor, the overall service and I can’t seem to put my finger on why… OR can I?

I have been coming to Dr. W office for over 7 yrs. I ran into a problem with depression and was reaching out for help because I didn’t know what to do. I have seen Angela the PA for several years. Well I called Dr. W office because I felt the treatment plan was not working and asked about changing meds or any suggestions. Well to make a long story short instead of taking the extra time to try and help me I received a letter in mail stating«it has became apparent that this office can not provide you with the care you desire.» Instead of digging more Angela or Dr. W decided that sending me this letter and not helping me was the thing to do, I’m taken back this is the type of thing would happen after me coming there for so long and referring people that I would get treated this way when I done nothing to deserve this and no one even took the courtesy to call me and explain why such a letter was sent. But I have a new doctor that has great bedside manner and took the time to listen and my life has taken a turn for the best with my new doctor. My advice is that if you go to Dr. W office and they run up against a complex medical issue the best they can do for you is send you a letter cutting you off to me that is not a Doctor office that cares about there patients. All they had to do is fact find and try to understand.
