We have been going to Yuzu since it opened. The service and food are excellent, Harry and Jessica are the sweetest couple and have done a great job! Best sushi in Lancaster hands down!

This restaurant deserves 10 stars!!! Not only is the food amazing, the staff and ownership is fantastic: friendly, attentive and genuine. The second time we went there they remember our names from our first visit. While the rest of my family eats sushi, I do not as I am allergic to shellfish so I get the Hibachi chicken, which is a homerun every time. I’ve even tried the whimpy person’s sushi(tuna) and enjoyed it. Ask for Harry’s Special! You won’t regret it. Also highly recommended by my 11 year old son! :-)

Just phenomenal. After reading great reviews on Unilocal about them, and seeing that they’re listed as the #1 sushi restaurant in the Lancaster area on Unilocal,I decided to drive the 20 or so minutes to get there, and let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic quality food, very authentic. The prices aren’t cheap, but not overpriced either. I got a Fantasy Roll, Rainbow Roll, Salmon Roll, and the Hibachi Chicken dinner. It was all amazing, and the service was great. Waitresses constantly checked up on me(I was the only one in the restaurant at the time so that helps lol), and were very attentive. Highly highly recommend this place for sushi and Japanese food in the Lancaster area. Note: Please note that the restaurant is closed from 3:30pm til 4:30pm in preparation for dinner. I got there around 3pm and had to wait around 20 minutes til they opened for dinner at 4:30pm. The manager said this is listed on their personal site, but not here on Unilocal. There’s another review here by Nicole B. who was disappointed that they got there when it was closed. Don’t be one of us lol, avoid arriving during that time period. And hopefully Unilocal can include this crucial bit of information here on their site.

We arrived at around 3:45 for lunch only to be told that the restaurant was closed for an hour. Didnt see this on their website and there were several diners eating in. Very unpleasant experience

Yuzu is a sushi lover’s dream-come-true. The food is consistently delicious, the presentation is lovely, and the service is friendly. My husband and I choose this place as our choice celebration location(but honestly, the prices are reasonable enough that you could come here anytime). The only thing that hiccups the charm is the hilarious sword print on the wall – wait, nevermind — we love that, too.

My fiancé and another couple ate here on a Saturday night. One plus about this place is that it’s BYOB. So nice to be able to bring the alcohol that you desire and it definitely makes a meal more affordable. Anyway, when we got to the restaurant there was one couple waiting to be seated. A woman greeted us as we came in and asked how many people we had. After seating the couple in front of us quickly, it was our turn. They did take us to a table that was not ready at first, but quickly cleaned it and we were then seated. The server immediately took our bottles of wine to open and gave us water. I love when a server brings water right away, it just adds an attentiveness that an diner enjoys. Though it did take a while to get our wine returned, we appreciated the politeness of our server. Each couple ordered the Crab Rangoon for an appetizer. It was delicious! The crab and cream cheese mixture was gooey and hot. The wonton was crunchy and the sweet and sour sauce was tangy! We really enjoyed this appetizer! My fiancé and I ordered all of our sushi in soy paper because I’m not a fan of seaweed. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, spicy scallop roll, and an angry dragon roll. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Very flavorful and the spicy rolls definitely had a kick! Our bill was about 20 a person, which is normal or even inexpensive for a night out:) We will definitely be returning!

I adore this place! Both times I’ve been the staff have been more courteous and friendly that I could ask for and the sushi has been superb. I will absolutely be a regular here.

Excellent service! The staff is so friendly and remembers us by name. They are wonderful people and really make you feel at home. The environment is relaxing and feels like you escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. The sushi is the freshest and best in the Lancaster County! Heads down! I will never go anywhere else! The Harry special isn’t on the menu but it’s to die for if you like trying new sushi items! You won’t regret!

Very good choice for Thai food and sushi. Great selection and everything is fresh and comes to the table quickly. The restaurant is simple and unassuming, with friendly staff. BYOB, which is great because it allows you to drink what you want without paying a markup for the(limited) selection that would be on the menu. Good place for a date and for family. Also a good choice for those nights when you choose to go out on the spur of the moment.

I had a decent lunch. I wasn’t blown away, but it was definitely of good quality. If I went back I’d order more sushi options. I wouldn’t order their spring rolls because they were too dense and Viking lava hot no matter how long I let them cool. The sushi was great. Very friendly service. The place is pretty busy at lunchtime. It’s obvious they do something right.

Stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday, so it was not busy and we were seated right away. The staff was very attentive and polite. My wife and I started with pork gyoza, then shared the drunken noodles with chicken and the coconut fried rice with chicken. Everything was delicious! The coconut fried rice is somehing that I’ve never had before and it was fantastic! We will definitely stop in again!

Looked on line for some place to eat, excellent lunch after a morning of shopping at the outlets. Bento Box was great with white tuna — very tasty. Hibachi Steak was tender and flavorful. Service was great. Your shopping experience is not complete until you eat here.

We were extremely pleased with our food and the service. Enthusiastically greeted, we liked the décor and ambiance making for a great first impression. We ordered the Dreamer roll to start and loved it, very fresh, kind of a sushi meets spring roll. No rice, which my hubby likes. I had pad Thai and my husband had the Redbull beef dish. Wow, excellent. Large portions so we could’ve shared. The staff was very nice and friendly. So many good things on the menu, I’d go back if we were in town longer.

Went for our anniversary dinner, we had a great evening. We ordered the sushi for two, and were treated to a large selection of fresh rolls, nigiri and shashimi. We also had one of the specialty rolls and it too was very good. We wound up our meal with a serving of the Mango with Sticky rice which was excellent, and put the perfect cap on our meal. The staff was friendly and very attentive, the owner(manager Jennifer) visited us after our meal and was very welcoming. If you like sushi I’d say this is one of the best in Lancaster.

After reading some positive reviews for the restaurant we decided to give it a try. Because we love Thai food we stayed on that side of the menu — big mistake. The versions of Thai food presented to us were in short — just terrible. The so called Chicken Satay appetizer was a total abomination — inedible. We asked our server if it was really chicken — but she didn’t detect our unhappiness and instead insisted that any confusion was owing to the secret Satay flavorings. Whether it was chicken, pork, or dog will remain a mystery as the apparently frozen strips of meat had been dumped in a fryer and desiccated to near jerky consistency. Memo to kitchen — remove this dish! It was truly nasty. The sauces provided for the satay and fried spring rolls were served in ramakins with the sauce so shallow in the dish that the appetizers could only graze the sauce. The entrees of Pad Thai and a Shrimp/Scallop combination curry were marked as spicy on the menu. We asked the server to make sure they were just that, spicy and hot. What we got were super sweet, bordering on desert concoctions with zero spice and altogether very bland. The seafood was rubbery frozen stuff. Give it 2 stars because it was our mistake to go to a side area of the menu that was not the strength of the restaurant. Hopefully if we went back we’d find the Sushi and Japanese dishes worthy of the praise found in other reviews. But after being served some really terrible food on regular menu items it isn’t likely we’ll be back to try anything else.

I ordered the chirashi plate and my boyfriend ordered the crispy pork platter. His portion was substantial and the meat was cooked very well. The chirashi was very fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely some of the best sushi on Lancaster city. *very clean restaurant *good service

Wonderful place. Great options, sushi is delicious. Can’t comment much on the other food/pan-asian options. A little on the pricey side but portions/rolls are pretty big. Pepper tuna very good. Good place to bring a date. Parking space outside. Accept cash/credit.

Good not great. Had the Basil Duck. Barely any basil, stir fry was tepid temperature-wise, and not spicy at all(it was supposed to be). Hmmm. On the plus side, the crispy duck was delicious. Brown rice is an option which is great. Miso soup as far as I can tell, I am no expert, was good. From the reviews, it sounds like sushi is the way to go here. Maybe by trying to be Pan-Asian they are not in their zone. I just enjoy duck because it is hard to find in Central Pa. I like sushi but don’t love it considering that one can drop a lot of money eating it. So, there is very little here that I wouldn’t look elsewhere for first. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Place is dark, so dark I couldn’t see the menu at the sushi bar. I was a bit snow blind coming in from the street. Again, Good not great. Consider serving dishes covered or get them out pronto. Stir fry should be sizzling a bit when it is served. Don’t promote the dish as spicy if it is not. Fairly basic food principles. I would give the dish a B.

We came here for my birthday three days ago and I can’t stop talking about it! Since moving to central PA from DC, the biggest thing I’ve missed is good sushi. THANKGODFORYUZU! What we devoured(while coming close to happy tears): From the Sushi & Sashimi Entrees — the«Sushi Star»(3 Pcs each of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white tuna, and a spicy 2 in 1 roll + soup or salad) $ 22. A La Carte Sushi — Japanese red snapper(their special that day), amaebi, scallop, and california uni. Dessert — Fried green tea ice-cream. There was absolutely nothing to complain about when it came to the quality and taste of everything we tried. All the fish were so fresh and served at the perfect temperature(I’ve had problems out here with sushi that clearly wasn’t the freshest and served too cold). The rice wasn’t over seasoned like most sushi places in the area tend to do as well. Also, it’s amazing quality sushi for central PA sushi prices… can’t get any better than that! I wake up thinking of the sushi and go to sleep thinking of the sushi. I keep looking back at the photos on my phone. I have a problem to say the least. Finally finding a good sushi place out here has made me the happiest girl in the world!(Major points to my husband for finding the place!)
