Top Taste Carry Out

The huge variety on there menu means its easier to find something that my kids like. This is usually my go to spot in the area, especially because they deliver. The food isn’t knock your socks off, but it is decent. They also give huge portions that will be sure to fill you up. Delivered food is hot, and I haven’t had any long waits or issues with service.

It is your average Chinese carryout greasy spoon — but if that’s what you’re looking for then you’re in the right place! When the mood strikes me, this is my go-​to Chinese carryout, at least in Landover Hills.
Things I love:
— phone etiquette. this is usually very lacking in carryout places and not for lack or trying, simply a disconnect of cultures. this place, at the very least, makes a genuine attempt at being accurate and polite.
— portion size: HUGE portions for what you’re paying, at least I certainly think so. I usually get the dinner sized egg foo yung but ordered the lunch recently as I’d never had the special before. 2 giant patties and plenty of gravy and rice. enough for 2 meals!
— hot food hot: Carryout hot? Easy. Delivery hot? Wow! Perhaps it helps that I live across the street, but I’ve never been delivered cold or even warm food.
Things I not-​so-​love-​but-​am-​OK-​with:
— authenticity: like I said, typical carryout. if you’re looking for Peking Duck and come here, you’re just silly. but they don’t boast authenticity — they boast fill-​the-​belly ChiMerican takeout.
— tiny waiting area: not a big deal, but it can be when the place gets busy. sitting next to smelly patrons can ruin an appetite.
— (very very knitpicky) gravy going everywhere: on my egg foo yung there is literally gravy everywherrrreee… but that could easily be remedied by asking for it on the side.

Typical food, nothing special but it was freshly made by order and delish! It’s also open late, which is awesome because I had a craving for wings and saw the only lit up business within a dark shopping center (non-​dangerous/​very open shopping center BTW) so I made a u-​turn and was happy to have found them. They also deliver within the area so that’s a plus. I will return.

This is one of your ubiquitous Chinese Take Out joints you will find in the DC Metropolitan Area located in Landover Hills, MD not far from the former Capital Plaza Shopping Mall. My family decided to check the place out one day after we saw their grand opening banner and after ordering some of our usual’s like Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Fried Rice, and General Tso’s Chicken we came away impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. They have a really good Steak and Cheese Sub that I order on occasion and when I do I get the ‘Every Day Sub Combo’ which includes a Half Steak & Cheese, Fries, and 20oz soda for $ 6.70. They offer delivery and we’ve received a ordering rush hour traffic in under 30 minutes which I felt was almost as fast as calling it in and picking it up. Check it out for yourself!
