Uncle Bob’s Glass & Mirror

We have been going through different stages of remodeling our home and have dealt with many contractors. Our bathroom was finally finished and we sought out bids from shower door companies. We wanted a frameless shower door for our 6 foot long newly constructed shower. We had a few companies send their representatives, take measurements and send in their prices. One never even bothered. I contacted Chris the owner of Uncle Bob’s and he spent so much time with me over the phone teaching me the nuances and definitions of words I never heard before. Installing shower doors I learned was not as easy as I thought. Chris came out to our house, took measurements and told us something about our future shower door construction that not one of the other contractors did. After doing some due diligence he was correct and if I went with the other contractors I would sooner or later have been in trouble with the installation. He sent us his quote which was extremely fair. His wife Cindy who I talked to when he was out of the office was also very helpful and such a wonderful person to talk to. Chris spent the most time with us of all the contractors in measuring our space and explaining the process and helping us pick out the appropriate hardware. Not one contractor bothered talking over the phone with us as Chris did. He for lack of a better term is a perfectionist and spent more time measuring and checking our walls, etc. A few days later he had a question about a minor measurement and drove the one hour to make sure it was the correct measurement. I chose Uncle Bob’s becuase they are in business for a very long time which meant they must be doing great work and also the professionalism shown to me by him and Cindy before we even agreed to have them do the installation. Jake and Jon the installers arrived at the time we were told, which we found to be rare among the contractors we were dealing with. They were extremely courteous, very attentive to what they were doing, answered all questions, gave us instructions as to how to take care of the new installation and even gave us a squeegee. They were a pleasure to have in our home. Not only did they leave the bathroom in an immaculate condition but they left us with the feeling that we wished more contractors would have been as nice and respectful to us and our home as they were. The installation looks fantastic. We are so happy. Too bad they don’t remodel bathrooms and kitchens.
