America’s Best Wings

The 4*stars rating is only for this location and the chicken wings. All other America’s Best Wings location I would rate 3*stars and the other menu food items would rate 3 stars as well. This is a new location added within the Free State Shopping Center (next door to the Sakura Japanese Restaurant). The location is new and very clean. The staff is very friendly which is probably another reason I like this location over the other ones. Now onto what you came here for the FOOD.
All your orders are cooked to order and fresh. They offer a 5pc or 10pc Combo with fries for $ 6.99/$ 10.99 respectively. They also offer Fish & Shrimp or Fish and Chicken Wing combos, Steak Subs and Grilled Shrimp, Chicken and fish items.
I tried the fried catfish the batter was okay but the fish just didn’t taste like catfish. I think they made a mistake in the kitchen or just ran out of catfish and gave me what was available. The Cheesesteak sub. Just DONT do it (see pic) The chicken cheesesteak may be better but the steak sub is low quality meat (worse than Steak’umms) This is why I tend to just stick to the wings and fried chicken b/​c hence the name this is what they do BEST.
The wings come in 30 flavors. Count it people 30 flavors! So your combination of sauce selection is endless. With a 10pc combo you can get 5pcs with one sauce and 5pcs with another sauce of your choosing. I always get Lemon Pepper which is the BOMB, unlike most lemon pepper sauces its not dry its slightly wet which makes it so Yummy! Then I alternate the other 5pcs with a new flavor since they have so many to try and they all have been tasty thus far, such as Moondust, Honey BBQ, Cajun, Teriyaki, Hot Garlic etc. Other popular flavors are the Ranch Powder wings and the Garlic Parmesan (I’ve yet to try these). Then with any wing flavor you can do «HOT», which means they will Toss your Wing in the HOT sauce and then toss it for a 2^nd time in any other sauce you like, for example HOT BBQ, HOT Teriyaki. Dont forget to order your wings «Crispy or Extra Crispy»
Along with your Wing Combo you get a heaping of Crinkle Fries and who doesn’t love Crinkle fries! (my fav) and your combo comes with a 20oz fountain drink. The sauces are pretty addictive so be prepared to come back time and time again. Plus dont forget to ask for Mamba Sauce for your fries. Lastly, they are very stingy with their Blue Cheese and Ranch sauce! You only get 1 sauce per 10 wings ordered. So if you get a 5pc Wing Combo .NO SAUCE for you and they mean it (LOL), they will happily charge you .25 cents for additional sauces. The sauce is really not big of a deal unless you want them in order to dip your wings in b/​c they only give you 3 small celery sticks.
I“m glad this ABW location opened, definitely a great spot to grab some wings to watch a good sports game at home or if you want a filling lunch or dinner.

I recently visited the Lanham location and was very disappointed by the taste of the food and the service. I purchased an order of two flavors and both were very bland. I called and spoke to the owner who instructed me that every America’s Best food is different, but to return for a refund, Weird, that’s like saying every Dominos or Chick Fil A should taste different. When I got there he denied it because some of the wings were eaten. I explained to him that I ate two of one flavor and my girlfriend ate two of another, but he insisted on just remaking. Personally, I think most people would try one, if it’s off, try another, but according to him anything past one wing will not be refunded. Upon receiving the new order, which was still bland, I asked for his name and contact info and he would not give it to me. He instead directed me to a wall of documents, one being a tiny ID card, which I told him I could not view. While asking him nicely several times to write the info for me, he was very arrogant, rude, and sarcastic. Even going so far as to yelling and I never raised my voice. Everything about the interaction was negative on his part. Although he owns that particular location, he’s representing America’s Best as a whole and as a long time customer, I’ve never received such poor service. Never eating here again!

I was always so worried this was just another wing place but I decided to give it a try anyway. Talk about pleasantly surprised. First of all the restaurant is very clean & tidy, even the display case for desserts & sauces was organized & tidy. The cashier was able to explain different dishes to me so I knew what was what. I’m very particular with my buffalo sauce so I wanted to know what it tastes like in comparison. Anywho, I ordered 10 wing combo (Mild & Parmesan Garlic) with fries. Along with an order of Mozzarella cheese sticks. I waited about 10 – 15 minutes & when I got my food I was sooooo pleased. The wings weren’t small or dried out, just enough sauce. The fries were good, I added seasoning salt to them. The mozzarella cheese sticks were also delicious but the kicker is the sauce they included with them. The cashier called it «shrimp sauce» it was soooo good. I ended up using it mostly with my fries but it was great with the cheese sticks. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

I’m a wing guy who moved to the area 3 months ago, and I’ve been looking for a good wing place. All the other places I went to were a swing and a huge miss. Well yesterday I was picking up Taco Bell on my way home from work, and did my homework and found out they had favorable reviews. Which even other wing restaurants in the area had, so I went in with caution.
I will first off say why I gave this 4 stars, and no 5 stars. It’s been a common review for these restaurants. It takes a while for someone to answer the phone, and when you do get a response you are asked to hold. You get the store to realize that it’s because the two in the front manning the registers are the ones manning the phones, and I know it is hard in a rush to take orders of the people in front of you, and in the same time answer phone calls. In that case, I don’t think it would be that hard for the restaurant to implicate an online system. Especially with multiple restaurant in the area.
Now to the good stuff, the food. I took a bite into the hot wings, and damn. They were good. They weren’t too big so that it made the wings under cooked, and that first bite. The skin was crispy, and the sauce had the right amount of heat. They were reasonably priced with 10 wings being $ 7.99 and 20 wings are $ 14.99. These are in my opinion the best wings in Prince George’s County, and that little humble plaque they have hidden in that back isn’t a lie.
My only additional comment is. I tried the moon dust wings that I saw here loved, they are just not for me. I am a guy who likes a little spice to their wings. This is probably good for people who like a regular chicken wing with some flavor, but it’s not something that will make you grab your beer. But that is an opinion on flavor, and this place has 30 different flavors and was no influence on my rating.
This will be my regular wing place while I’m in Maryland.
Edit: I’ve come here to to update my review after two extra visits. I still agree with my rating. Tge phone service was just as good. I had the chicken tenders, and they are good, but but not the best in the area. I had the Thai Chilli, and while it is labeled as hot, I find it more of a sweet Thai. This is a personal recommendation, if someone wants to add a little sweet and sour to the thai chilli, I would suggest adding lime juice. Other than that, the wings are so good. I ordered 20 meaning to eat 10 and save the 10 for later, I ate all 20. So while I might have to reduce my trips because this stuff is just good. Good thing I worked out right before I ate.

Went there 7÷16÷15 at 730p and they were closing which I didn’t understand because clearly the sign said 10pm. If I could give a negative star I would

Yesterday I had theeee best cheesesteak wrap sandwich I’ve ever had in life. I paid my little $ 6.39, thinking nothing of it, expecting it be decent but nowhere near as good as their wings (which are bomb as heck btw).
When I took my first bite. When I took my first bite. WHEN I TOOK MY FIRST BITE! I literally trembled! Lol! I cannot explain how amazing this thing was, I feel like saying it does not communicate the deliciousness that was this wrap!
It was at that moment that I knew I could honestly confirm:
–America’s Best Wings is the GOAT
–Everything on their menu is bomb
–The Lanham location is the best
–Even if the phone line is busy (which it always is) I’m willing to drive to the business, order in person and wait 15 min for my food
–If I wasn’t tryna get with #teamnowaist I would eat here every weekend
Amazing! And to think I thought the Greenbelt location was the best… not even close honey! P. S – the prices are cheaper at this location!
My only complaint is that sometimes they randomly close early without warning… and when you’ve been looking forward to your wings all day to find they’re closed and you have to go Greenbelt instead it’s not bomb at all… lol

As soon as we walked inside the door, it smelled amazing! The cashier greeted us immediately and was very friendly. It took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat, but he was patient. We put in our order and were told it would take about 15 minutes. There were a few tables and chairs so we sat down and waited.
I ordered the philly +5 wings combo, which included fries and 20 oz. drink for $ 10.99 and my husband ordered 20 wings for $ 14.99. The price wasn’t bad at all.
The philly was good, though I prefer they not wrap it in aluminum foil; it made it soggy. The wings and fries were just «ok».

Went to the Americas Best Wings on Largo Center Drive in Upper Marlboro Md on 17 Jan 2015 and ordered 200 wings…100 moon dust and 100 mild buffalo. The mild buffalo were fine but the moon dust were hard and crunchy and probably reheated from the night before. I paid $ 148 for this ordered, complained the next business day and nothing was done… so all I could do was write this email and lodge my complaint. If you go to this location, check your food before you leave… I will NEVER go back there. I will go back to the one in Forestville Md… I’ve never had a complaint there. The manager did give me an email address where I could complain but it was not legit.

I dont think I like this place… first I ordered 10 piece half lemon pepper half teriyaki. The sauce wasnt on the wings properly the wait was really long for no reason. The workers were talking and shouldve been trying to get them orders outta dere pretty ghetto amd rachet for my liking and wings to damn big on top of that they gave me all drums no flats and I like all flats dont think im going back.

Basic fried food done wrong. From the first second you walk through the door you smell oil, dirty oil. The taste of the wings validates this. The worst of all was the sandwiches. It is hard to explain this but I will try. So the genius that made my sandwiches wrapped them in aluminum foil then cut the sandwich in half with a serrated blade therefore shredding aluminum foil in to the first bites; when he should have cut the sandwich in half then wrapped and left it at that.

Okay so I read the reviews before going to this restaurant and decided to order ahead. I ordered the 5powdered ranch wings and 10moondust wings. I walked into the restaurant and up to the register. The man behind the counter seemed to be distracted so I stood there and waiter for him. After about what felt like 5mins or so he said «yes» I told him I was picking up an order for Tammy. He gave me the total and went to retrieve my food, without speaking he opened the box and just looked at me. I said ok he closed the box and pushes the bag toward me and walked away.
For the food, honestly I couldn’t wait to get home and tried a moondust wing. It was so salty that I had to spit it out, I figured they over salted that one and tried a different wing in the box, again horribly salty. Close that box and down half bottle of water. Now for the powdered ranch, I was iffy due to the heart attack moondust wings, but they was surprisingly delicious lol. I was so upset that I only ordered 5 of those. So so good and I could tell they was fresh.
I am giving this location a three star due to the saltiness of the wings and the rudeness of the server. They did have my order ready when I arrived, the restaurant was clean and the ranch powder wings were fresh and good.

If you’re going on your lunch break, call ahead… because they make the wings fresh, it takes a little time. Other than that, this place is yummy!

I’ve been to America’s Best Wings in other locations, but this one is by far the best. First of all its clean. I always walk in there and it looks like its spotless. The staff is really laid back and professional with the customers. Regarding the food, I find the food prepared at this location tastes the most fresh, even the wings just seam meatier that the other ones I have visited. I really enjoy the grilled fish when I am trying to be healthy. But I always get sucked in to getting the wings (Moondust and Power Ranch are my faves) and the Chicken Cheesesteak Sub. A good spot to try

Came here for lunch on the way to a fishing trip. I found out the owners were the former owners of a great chicken place in Baltimore. Being a Baltimore native, I had to try their whole fried wings and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Freshly fried, lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. I don’t like my wings overly seasoned unless they are buffalo wings. Perfect with hot sauce, ketchup and a large half and half. Didn’t get to try their sauced wings but they had a ton to choose from so ill have to try them next time I’m in the area. They are busy and get tons of large orders so if you’re trying to get a large order or you are in a hurry, I suggest you call ahead. My friend ordered the whiting sandwich which he enjoyed enough not to share.

These are the best fried wings in the area. They are always fresh, crispy and fried to a golden perfection. I also recommend the Old Bay and Honey Barbecue wings and the fried Whiting.
