I thanked the girl who gave a generous portion of palabok at 1pm in a combo meal. That was nice because palabok is my favorite and it was good. But they ran out of napkins.

Foods tasty delicious, place are not so inviting — its like the store is closing. Staff are friendly. Needs to spruce up this place to be able to pick up customers.

We liked the way they cook Filipino food here but other reviewers are right, this Filipino food joint seems to be always closed for business on days when they should not be. It’s pretty annoying especially when we live in Alexandria and sometimes would drive all the way here only to see a closed sign by the door! We finally asked them one time and told us that they have a «family emergency» which I don’t think always applies to the consistency and frequency of the times when they are always closed to the public! Good food but giving themselves a bad business practice/reputation which may eventually lose them their business.

Delicious homemade food each time! This place is for carry out but there is a counter where you can eat(but only with 5 – 6 bar stools to sit on.

Temporary review only for this reason(will update when I get to eat here): It says on their Unilocal page that they’re open from 10:30am-8pm today. I drove 25 miles with my family to get here to celebrate my birthday early with some Filipino food for dinner. We arrived at 6pm and it’s closed. You should update your store hours. So disappointed.

Been looking for an authentic filipino resto that I can go to for my filipino dishes craving, at last, found it! We always go to gaithersburg for my filipino food cravings but yesterday, I went to Unilocal and found out about this place! So for mother’s day, my hubby and I drove from annapolis to lanham to check Inah’s place. Was expecting it the way it was cuz it is a take out place and not a restaurant. They have all the best filipino food I ever know and could not cook myself haha! So we ordered kare kare, pinakbet and barbecue. All of it are the best I have tasted so far in America! Just hit the spot! I could not wait to try their other offerings like sisig, liempo and caldereta! I’m so grateful that i finally know where to go for filipino food, not to mention, it is very affordable!

This is a great little takeout spot. 2 item combos are $ 7 with tax and they are more than 2 meals worth of food, and really great. Every time I work in Greenbelt this is my go-to spot. The Caribbean places in the area can’t compete with the prices here. Someone mentioned they are closed down but that isn’t the case, but like all Asian businesses with busy weekend rushes(this place does alot of catering orders) they can be closed on Mondays and/or Tuesdays … just call ahead to make sure they are open.

OK… let me start out by saying that this was my first experience with Filipino food. I found myself in the area around lunchtime as I was doing some errands, saw some decent reviews on Unilocal, and decided I’d take a chance, not really knowing what I’d find. First of all, it was a little intimidating, as NOTHING on the menu even sounded familiar. I felt pretty stupid not know what anything was, but the young lady behind the counter was very nice and explained all of the dishes to me, and even offered me samples of anything I wanted to try. I settled on a dish that I cannot for the life of me pronounce and would have even more trouble trying to spell it, but it was some kind of mixture of chicken, sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, and carrots in a mushroom sauce with boiled eggs on top. Anyone know what that is? If so, please tell me! Anyway…the sample was only a small bite of chicken in the sauce, which was pretty tasty, so I decided to go with this. They have a combo of fried rice and 1 entrée for $ 5.50, so this is what I got. However, when I returned to my office and opened it up, it wasn’t nearly as appetizing as it was in the store. The rice gave it a very strange taste, not pleasant. And I discovered that what they called sausage appeared to be nothing more than cut up hot dogs(vienna sausage, maybe?) Whatever it was, I didn’t eat it. And the boiled eggs on top were dried out and hard. The carrots and potatoes were good, but the rest of it ended up in the trash. One drawback: They only take cash, so if you’re going to go in, be prepared and don’t plan to use plastic. Maybe I just chose the wrong dish, or maybe Filipino food just isn’t for me. But I doubt I’ll go back to this place.

Inah’s is the best filipino joint this side of the beltway. I have been to others in the area but overall inah’s is consistent with the flavor of the recipes. The portions are just right. a 2 item combo with will run you about $ 6.50. I would recommend this to non-filipinos because it is a good representation of traditional filipino food here in the states. great place to grab lunch to go or an alternative to cooking dinner for the family. just point at a what you want and they’ll box it up for you.

This was my first experience with Filipino cuisine, and it was pretty good. Overall, I have to give this place a slightly better than average rating. It’s a carry-out only, which is fine — there’s a place for those, but this place clearly has room for a few small tables — why wouldn’t they put a couple in there so that there would be some activity? Maybe it’s very busy the rest of the time, but it seems to be a waste of space. I wanted to try something new, and I would have sat there and ordered more to try if I had been allowed — instead, I had to race home and eat before my food got cold. For a minute, I considered going to Jerry’s Seafood next door for what I knew would be an excellent(though significantly more expensive) sit-down meal, but I stuck with it. Maybe I should have taken a page from protesters in the past and staged a sit-in at Inah’s Place — then I could have tried more of the menu until the authorities arrived. Whoever selected the pork as the front picture for this place was spot on — it was the best barbequed pork that I have had in a while. The fried rice was pretty good, and the chicken might have been very good earlier, but tasted as if it sat on the buffet for a little too long. Overall, a pretty good experience, but I can’t understand why they leave all of that space just for standing around. I’m not sure if there is a market for a «Filipino Restaurant Rescue» TV show, but if someone wants to pitch it, I have the first candidate. (UPDATE: Apparently, they are limited to only doing carry-out by local regulation. I won’t speculate on the politics behind this decision, but it is unfortunate for this business)

I love this place! I go usually 2 times a week if not more. The people are very friendly and the food is authentic and wonderful! They will take the time to explain it if you don’t know what it is. The portions are on the smaller size but the price is cheap. Very good deal. Again, I love this place! Just an FYI– They do not accept credit cards. so bring cash!

I’m from PG County, born and raised — actually less than a mile or so from this place. I moved to California a few years ago but I’ve been back in town for a few weeks, and as you can imagine, I’ve been desperate for some non-chain restaurant food, or the crap you find randomly all over PG County. I was really hoping this place would be legit. The portions are INCREDIBLY small. I had a two entrée meal the first time I came in, and it was 95% rice, and one small scoop of each entrée. Fried pork and some chicken adobo. Really excruciatingly small portions, though the food was decent(the pork was mostly fat and skin, seriously less than two or three bites of meat). So I thought I would give the place another shot and came in and ordered a one entrée meal and an order of lumpia. The lumpia was over fried with very little meat. And again, my one entrée meal was very meager in size. I piped up at one point, «Hey, could just I have some more, that’s just one scoop of meat!» My request was met with a smile and a response«No, cannot. It’s too expensive.» So I ended up paying about $ 7.50 for a carton filled with rice, some tiny lumpia, and one scoop of pork. That’s kind of insane. One day … I will return to PG County and see lots of independently-owned Asian American restaurants with great food, great prices, great service like they have in the Bay Area of California or LA. But we’re not there yet, PG.

This place was awesome. The food was very authentic… letchon kawali, pinakbet and menudo were on today’s menu. YUM. If you like Filipino food, get over to this place and support them… they’ll need Filipino food lover’s support to make this work.
