Vocelli Pizza

There’s nothing special about the pizza here. It’s basic and somewhat bland. Some Unilocalers claim this is the best pizza that they’ve ever tasted. How is that possible? I may stop listening to you guys when it comes to food. By the way, I hate paying for extra cheese and not getting it.

Good tasting pizza, fresh Ingredients, polite customer service, fast delivery! But it’s really expensive. $ 32 is more than I’d like to pay for 2 small pizzas and wings. But hey that’s just me!

I really love their pizza. I order delivery about once a month and have tried many of their items. The pizza is really some of the best I’ve had and I’ve traveled to many places looking for the best pizza ever. The chicken wings are delicious as well.
Their online ordering system is very useful friendly and allows you to customize your pizza exactly as you want it without headache of talking to a person. Prices are good for the quality. Try some of their artisan pizzas as these are always a hit never a miss in my family. Delivery wait time is definitely 45 – 60 minutes so plan ahead. Their online system also notifies you when pizza is out for delivery so you don’t have to wait by the door.

So as a season ticket holder to the Redskins that travels in for the home games i was looking for a great delivery place. Let me just say holy hognuts Batman I found it. Vocelli pizza is my go to place. Their pizza is awesome but their oven roasted wings stole my heart. I advise anyone to try the wings my personal favorite are the garlic Romano. Don’t pass up the opportunity for amazing wings and pizza as well.

Vocelli rolls, thin crust steak & cheese, small regular pizza with a drink on the lunch special, the BBQ chicken pizza. I mean the goodness can go on & on. I love this place. The lady whose at the front I don’t know her name but she is such a nice women. Makes me wanna come back. But its a guy who works there & her really creeps me out.

Got a buffalo chicken pizza with added red onions for take-​out and it was great! Employees were very pleasant, the pizza itself was delicious and fresh out of the oven. This establishment is meant for take out or delivery only.

I can’t give 0 stars for the order I received tonight. Two salads and one cockroach. Guess I should have requested hold the extra protein.

Best pizza you can find in the DC area!

Stuck sans car at a hotel in a business park type area with the hotel restaurant closed, I needed delivery or I was going to starve. Ok, I exaggerate slightly, but I couldn’t go all day on Hershey kisses and water. Anyway, I found Vocelli’s on Unilocal and ordered based on proximity and inoffensive reviews.
I had a chicken parm sub and chocolate chip cookies. The person on the phone and the delivery person were both polite and pleasant. The order came within the estimated time. The food was fine. Not great, not bad. Average. I liked that ciabatta bread was an option for my sub. The cookies were David’s Cookies, which was a nice surprise.

When our local pizza shop closed I decided to give Vocelli a try. Placed an order online, they called to confirm the special request, and the order arrived in a decent amount of time from a nice delivery person. The food was hot and tasty, order accurate.
Sadly, the next time didn’t live up to my first impression. Again I ordered online, same time of day, same day of the week, even same exact order. Over an hour after my order was placed I got a call from the delivery person who was lost (I live less than 5 miles away). He asked for a landmark, so I tried to give him instructions from where he was. He said he’d be there in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, I was worried and called the shop. This had now been an hour and a half. The manager said the delivery guy got lost so he came back to the store and they sent out another delivery guy and he should be at my house within 30 minutes. This means over 2 hours for my order. I asked did they re-​make my order because after 2 hours in a car the pizza and sides were likely tepid and soggy. He said if it arrives and I am not happy to give him a call and they could remake it and it would be there within another hour. He also told me that it wasn’t his fault, it was the driver’s FIRST DAY and the only driver on schedule that evening (a Friday). I said I ordered for kids, it was now 8:45pm and past their bedtime, to order AFTER the pizza arrived meant the pizza would be here around 10pm or later. The delivery guy arrived, same as the first time, he was very apologetic and said the staffing and management were a bit disorganized and I should file a complaint with corporate. And yes, my food was soggy and cold and the zucchini bites were inedible.
I called corporate, they said they would transfer me to the store, or I could make a comment online. I both Tweeted and did a complaint online… no response. It has been over a month and no response. Not eating there again since they don’t seem to care about their customers. Would give 1 star but the first experience was good, so generously giving them 2.

First review!!! I love this place. Get the thin crust, it’s the best. I’ve had the salads, wings, and pizza all were good!!! Advise use the coupons you get $ 4 off a large gourmet pizza. Good deal, good food!!!

Nothing special to make me want to come back. I stopped by after work one day with my daughter. I wanted to try somewhere different from my usual carry out pizza places. The guys who were working there came off as if they couldn’t be bothered — like they had hoped no one would come in and gasp! create work for them to do. While waiting for our food, the guys were goofing off with each other and you can hear them through the kitchen. It wouldn’t have been such a big deal, however, the fact that they were cursing up a storm with no regard for customers being present, and even moreso I didn’t appreciate my child getting exposed to the kind of things there were talking about. The pizza was nothing special at all… so…like I said when I got started, I have no reason to go back.

Had the bruschetta and Tuscan chicken salad. Both were Delicious. Chicken was perfectly seasoned. Bruschetta was a soft garlic bread with tomatoes and cheese… It was perfect. Fast delivery. They even called my cell to let me know they were on their way.

You don’t get more convenient than online ordering and delivery! The food was great, but the garlic tenders were basically swimming in oil. The biggest problem though was the desserts. Their frozen, premade, desserts just don’t match the quality of the food that they came with!
