I don’t know what it is about this property but I’m sure its cursed. I worked in this building when it was reopened as Clubhouse II after almost a decade of standing deserted and falling to ruin. The food, then, wasn’t too terrible but it was far from appetizing. It, like many before it, closed after maybe 3 years at the most. Following, was another bad example of shotty restaurant ownership. These«diners» that open only to close shortly after, tend to run on the failing notion that quantity far surpasses quality. Charging $ 6 for a simple cheddar and egg on a plain toasted bagel with no sides, is ridiculous. I know they spend $ 1.50-$ 2 at most on the products going into making such items. The sandwich itself was absolutely inedible. The cheddar resembled and tasted like pure melted plastic. The thin sheet of «egg» was similar in taste and texture to wet newspapers. The bagel was the only actual part that could be ingested without spitting right out but even that was garbage. Ok I’ll admit I’m no pro food crtitic, but I know charging $ 12.57 for two plain breakfast sandwiches is absolutely ridiculous. The girl who took my order over the phone seemed quite miserable and bothered by having to do such a tedious task, but the woman who rang me up was as sweet as can be. I really feel bad that she’s the face of such a terribly ran business. I also should add that upon entering I heard a woman talking to her older mother or friend about the poor tasting food and service they received and I almost thought to turn around, get back in my car, and visit another place worthy of my purchase, but I didn’t because that would make me a jerk. I hope the owners or managers read this and take this all into consideration. You won’t be a successful business if you don’t care about what you’re serving your patrons. If you’re only in the business to make money for a short period of time with cheaply made food, you’ll fail miserably like everyone before you. I gave two stars instead of one because of the smiling woman who rang me out.

Really horrible experience here during opening week. Server kept messing up and blaming everything on everyone but her self. No manager came to smooth things over bc the server probably didn’t tell the manager there was a problem. Their food isn’t good. but they are okay for breakfast if u are looking for a spot in lansdale

Have been here several times since the current owners took over. First two times for breakfast, service was mediocre. Second and third time for Dinner and Lunch service was improved both times. All in all its a good diner. It seems cleaner and more well run than the previous ownership. I do feel that breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get since the ownership change. The breakfast menu could have a few more varied items and the breakfast meals and omelets come out looking somewhat sparse or visually bland. You get what you order and it’s cooked perfectly fine, but it’s missing that diner flare, you know the bit of grill«flavor» from the previous bacon cooked on the griddle etc maybe a bit of garnish. The«extras» for breakfast such as up-charge for cheese and several other things make it a bit pricier than other diners in the area. The french onion soup is much better than with the previous ownership. Service was really hit or miss but seems to be improving. It’s not even about the waitress or the host, it’s more just a factor of how busy they are. Desert selection was great on the last visit. Could/Would eat more desert.

We’ve been here a few times since it’s opened. Same results as many other replies… wrong orders, less than average food that could have potential, but it’s the desserts that I am completely gobsmacked about. How they can make such terrible desserts is beyond me. Hubs stopped by on his way home to grab some dessert(I would’ve told him to go elsewhere). $ 7 for 3 bites and then straight to the trash. It’s the oddest thing they way they have some sort of obsession with gelatin in the desserts. The chocolate cake looked like it had a glossy genache frosting but it was mildly chocolate tasting weird thick snot like consistency. And the cheesecake was suspiciously mixed with some cake and again a thick chewy gel over top. So weird — major baking fail.

Better than the previous reviews. Not great but better. Will give it another chance. Keep trying and good luck.

My husband and I went there for lunch. We were seated quickly and our waitress arrived promptly. She was experienced and pleasant. Breakfast for my husband was average(hash brown could’ve be cooked more/eggs overdone). I had the chicken pot pie that was out of this world. I was taken by surprise. Homemade with large chunks of white chicken meat, vegetables and potatoes covered by a delicious pastry crust. It was served with a fresh salad. Prices were very reasonable!

So if I gave this a review in August it would have been a 1. Food was not hot and seems to be almost enough wait staff but now after 3 tries it’s a solid 3. It’s breakfast so pretty hard to screw up but the wait staff is aloof and it would be nice to get a coffee refill without having to track down the hostess or some other waitress. At least the food is hot and comes in a reasonable amount of time. Hopefully they can keep improving.

This was a pretty disappointing experience. The staff was nice but the food left MUCH to be desired. I ordered the nacho supreme which was described as three cheese but I was supremely revolted by the single cheese used — a neon orange fake cheese smothering the plate. Also, it was cold. Gross!

Been here 4 times since the change in management and 3 of those times our order was wrong. Most recently this morning when the waitress took our order, repeated our order before she left the table, and then served both our orders wrong… my husband’s being an obvious mistake as he ordered the omelette with sausage gravy on it and there was none. She never came back to ask how things were until we were almost done the meal. We’re not complainers so we didn’t say anything but it’d be nice if they showed a little more interest in getting things right. It’s a shame when you put so much money into fixing a place up but then hire people that give it a bad name. I will say the food has always been good otherwise and the location is convenient so we’ll be returning but hopefully the waitresses get their act together.

The place has more than beer and wine. I did see a few bloody Mary’s made I stopped in on a Sunday morning. The food was excellent and was put on my plate that was nice. They had fresh fruit. They do have more at the bar than just wine and beer. The silverware, plates and glasses were very clean. I will be back to try a Long Island ice tea. We were listening to Sunday music sounds and I heard other customers say how it was good listening too. I felt comfotable. at the bar. The diner is a nice place to relax and have dinner with 2 people or a group of people. Nice place to relax and perfect to have a party.

Wow! What a great meal. Complimentary cup of soup with my dinner, a nice size salad, and some phenomenal fresh sesame rolls… But: The topper of this meal was the Flat Iron steak! It’s rare to find a Flat Iron at a restaurant, but in spoiled on them at home. These guys knocked it out of then park with this Flat Iron! Fresh, juicy, and flavorful!!! Excellent value. The facility looks fresh(recent remodel?). My server was a sweet gal, with a unique personality. She was fun, but I can see some folks taking her the wrong way. Either way, it’s on my favorites list for sure!

Decent breakfast but that’s about it. The other food is not that great. I got a salad that had chicken on it and the chicken had no seasoning/marinade so it just tasted like plain chicken. It also bad a weird texture which ruined my appetite. Our server was very nice but she saw that I took 2 bites of my salad and didn’t ask me until she brought the check what was wrong. They did end up taking the salad off the bill. Overall, I would go again but just stick with the breakfast menu.

Came here with my girlfriend to check it out for ourselves. Just checking these reviews now after the fact. Many of the things mentioned below are now obviously focus items for the place. The service was very friendly and the staff seemed to be taking extra effort. Food was mildly slow but our server was quick to point it out that it was on its way before I actually noticed. The food was great. I really enjoyed the chicken margarita sandwich. Lot of meat and it was well done. The complimentary soup with dine in sandwiches, wraps, etc is a great idea I’ve never seen at a diner before. I believe they are taking these reviews into consideration. So good work and keep it up!

Went with my co worker for breakfast. Nicely laid out. An appealing selection of baked items /desserts at the front counter. Décor is nice(for a diner) The hostess quickly greeted us, albeit, not a very welcome greeting, but she seated us right away. Our waitress was very friendly. I agree with the other reviews that service was very slow, but our food did arrive hot. I got eggs, sausage and hash browns/potatoes. If I had to pick a favorite, the egg was decent. The sausage and the potatoes both tasted very strongly of grease. The sausage seemed to be soaked in it. When we went to the hostess/cashier to pay our bill and asked us how our meal was, we mentioned the overly greasy sausage and potatoes an she said«ok» and blew us off. I hope they use these mediocre reviews constructively and make some changes in the kitchen as well as hospitality training for some of the staff. I will try it again in a month or two and see if it gets better

Just so so for now. Service seemed to be a little off even though it wasn’t that busy. We ordered some breakfast food and it came out a little slow as well. The pancakes were ok. I’m not going to jump to conclusions just yet as I’m hopeful they can work out the kinks. It’s certainly a pretty good location. Huge parking lot.

Came here with my parents for lunch today – we were seated quickly, which was the best part of our experience. The evidently new waitress took our orders, then came back twice to verify what we’d all asked for. Still, 2⁄3 of the orders were wrong – I ordered the grilled turkey avocado wrap and got a bacon turkey cheeseburger. My mom ordered an open-faced hot turkey sandwich and got a turkey club. The soup that was supposed to come with our sandwiches never came(although my dad’s au jus for his French dip came with… crackers). I kept the cheeseburger, and the club was taken back. At this point, we were in a hurry and asked to have the open-faced turkey boxed up; it was brought out on a plate. Waitress brought the box out with a few hasty apologies. At the front desk, the hostess asked how everything was, and my mom mentioned that everything was pretty bad and that she hadn’t even eaten yet. Got an «oh, sorry» and nothing else. Giving two stars instead of one because a) this is a very new restaurant that needs to get its feed under it and b) I feel pretty bad for the waitress, who looked as if she’d recently been crying when she came to check on us for the last time. It’s clear to us that management needs to do a better job training its employees.

Charming diner with new renovations. The food was seasoned well, but the staff was sort of awkward in their presumably new roles. I figure these are new opening woes that will be corrected with time. I’ll be sure to come back.
