Might be the only place around but everything was spectacular! My sister and I hiked all day at Worlds End SP and came here starving. She’s vegetarian and found a dish she loved(veggie panini). We shared a pizza and I got chicken with tortellini. A++ would deff come back.

We were camping over the weekend. Due to rain storms moving in we decided against cooking dinner Over the fire. We got on Unilocal and started looking for local places to eat. This place was close and the reviews were good. We went in and it was before dinner time so we were only ones there for awhile. Our two kids had a bowl of Tomato soup which was good and huge. They also had mozzarella sticks which were really good. My wife and I both had the chicken Parm dinner. It came with a salad which was nice and fresh. A big piece of chicken with pasta and green beans and a piece of cheesy garlic bread. The sauce was really good. The chicken was tender. We liked the sauce wasn’t overly garlic. For Dessert we all split cannoli’s and a piece of buttermilk cake with Carmel glaze. Overall we were pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. Next time in the area we will stop in for lunch.

My boyfriend and I came upon Griffin’s grill after hiking Worlds End and having no cell service! We found Laporte on the map and drove there hoping for either cell service or good food. Luckily we found both! We were the only customers in the restaurant due to the awkward timing(around 330). We were greeted promptly and received our menus and water. However we were told we couldn’t order what we wanted but rather were given suggestions of what he could make us. My boyfriend got a wild sandwich with just about every type of Italian meat on it, as well as a clam chowder. I got a chicken panini. Both meals were unexpectedly delicious. They were mouth watering and packed with flavor. We finished with a slice of peanut butter cake to share which as fantastic as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone spending time in this area. The food is unbelievable and for a price you just can’t beat!

One of the few restaurants here in the Lake Mokoma area and after a long day of swimming, boating or hiking, this place serves up the perfect meal to fill up your hungry belly. We had the pizza as well as a chicken-parm type dish — both were really good.

An incredible place. Looks a little dumpy from the outside and only a little better on the inside. But what great food and value. Service was good too. Wife is a seafood fan and thought the salmon was perhaps the best she ever had, at any price. My chicken parm was as good as anywhere. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce, which appeared home-made, was spicy and delicious. The side vegetables were not an afterthought here: they were perfectly cooked as well and lightly dressed with a delicious sauce. Not too many restaurants in the Eagle’s Mere-Laporte-Dushore area. This place should be on every visitor’s list. The schedule is quite limited though, so call ahead to check the hours. BYOB!

All homemade! My husband and I stopped here for lunch while in Eagles Mere. What a find! The owners were so friendly and helpful… great service and great food. We got the sausage panini and meatball sub. Both were great and a great value. We would highly recommend stopping in here if you are in town!

Hand tossed pizza dough/crust was excellent, homemade chocolate cake was great, hot wings were also enjoyable with well above par homemade Bleu cheese dressing and all were dwarfed by the exceptional hospitality! We will return

Perhaps, it was the high from the just completed successful climb and descent of the highpoint in World’s End Park. The view from Loyalsock Ridge continued to dwell within; and my legs were stiff from exertion; but my hunger was even bigger than that in the moment. I had exhausted whatever reserve lay within me, and my body needed replenishment. My soul was on a high that would not come back to Earth for several days. Cruised into Laporte hoping to find just the right place. I allowed intuition to be my guide(Sometimes we need to trust in a higher authority then even Unilocal). We passed a country carnival full of families having fun. Did not want the noise just then, but wished everyone a wonderful evening of Carney magic and sweet funnel cakes. Just past the crowds I spied Griffin Grill on Main Street. I tried to imagine what kind of cuisine might be represented by the mythic Eagle-headed, lion-bodied creature. No clue, but the notion of eating in the lair of a mythical beast seemed just about a perfect culmination of our adventure. I would not have been surprised if we had come across a griffin in the forests of World’s End. It was just that kind of day. So maybe we were still in the ZONE. Turned out this was an Italian rabbit hole we dove into. Cool with early evening light pouring through the front windows, a blackboard full of specials, and a tiny bar complete with tin type panels on the risers. The waitress seemed to know who we were as she greeted us with a, «Hi, Guys. We’ve been waiting for you.» She was from Philly in a past life and appreciated my orange Flyers long sleeve(it was getting cool). She directed us to homemade ice tea, lemonade, and of course, spontaneously poured Arnold Palmer’s. She gave us the lowdown on the owner/chef who was in the kitchen pounding a chicken breast into submission before applying bread crumbs for the parmigiana house special. I wanted it. The eggplant variant was taken by my friend. Drank 2 large Arnie’s before the meal arrived. The balsamic for the salad was so thick it could not be poured out of the bottle where it had been mixed earlier. I had to remove the cork pourer and shake it out of its cave. Thicker than mud, but like TNT on the palate. BOOM! I had to spread it on the salad with my fork. It was the best unexpected salad dressing ever for me. Strong, take no prisoners uncompromising Grit of Balsamic. Loved it. They later apologized for this and thanked me for telling them about it. The Chicken Parm may not have been perfect, but it reminded of my Italian days in Trenton. The Pasta and Gravy was authentic, and the Braised Zucchini came with a wonderful Glaze that I sopped up with the homemade bread. My friend’s Eggplant came out in a much smaller plate than my meal, but was delicious. Confession — I even had dessert last night, something I seldom do. But, I was on a streak of good fortune and it carried forward with the last slice of Peanut Butter Pie in the house. Creamy, chocolate Oreo base, caloric disaster. But, I was in Heaven. By the time we returned to our campsite, I was ready for sleep and the next act of this play, and hoped it would never end.
