I love this place! One of my favorite spots in Laredo. Order the chipotle chicken sandwich, tomato basil soup, and a chocolate ganache cupcake! The best :) great atmosphere and great food!

This is a downtown gem! I love the customer service and the delicious salads. The art on the wall also makes it a beautiful place to dine in.

I’ve been visiting Caffe Dolce since it first opened and have enjoyed every single meal I have ever had from this cozy Laredo gem. From its menu to its featured art to its community events, I cannot fully express how grateful I am to Val and Chris for bringing this restaurant to the downtown area. Some of my favorite menu items are the chipotle chicken panini, Greek salad, tomato soup, pesto pasta salad, chocolate chip cookies, and cupcakes. I’d be more specific as to which cupcakes I like most but I can’t pick. I highly recommend this spot and can’t wait to see how else it continues to expand!

Val and Chris are what makes this place awesome. Val is a pastry chef and Chris does most of the savory stuff. His best creations are chicken chipotle and the turkey munster with asparagus. In the winter he sometimes busts out new soups besides their standard tomato basil. I can’t decide which is my favorite cupcake try them all. or just go do some work with a french press refiling your coffee cup.

Coming from Los Angeles, Laredo has been a real CHANGE for me. This town lacks variety in food like you have no idea. Anyway, I’ve been on mission to find a place that’s tasty and has a funky, cool, vibe. You know the kind of place that entertains your eyes and satisfies your belly? Well, the food Gods have heard my tastebud prayers. Enter …Caffe Dolce. Beginning with the awesome wrap around porch with its country style building, to the colorful walls that give it that funk café vibe, this place is a breath of fresh air. There’s beautiful pieces of art hung on the walls that will blow you away. And the food, THEFOOD, is super delish! Their menu has everything from Sandwiches, Salads to tasty starters like Hummus. They even have dessert, which I will be trying on my next visit. Trust me, I had to fight the urge! On this visit, I ordered the turkey asparagus croissant sandwich combo that came with a great salad with just the right amount of lemon pepper dressing. Anyway, I hope this place sticks around for a long time. If you want a change from the Palenque madness, Mariachi Express, or Taco Tote(pattern anyone?) PLEASE go here. Here’s another plus… the customer service is excellent. They checked on us to see if everything was ok and offered us refills when we were empty. If you live in Laredo, you know that you have better chance of finding a purple unicorn than you would a place with excellent customer service. Cheers to Caffe Dolce!
