Very friendly, enthusiastic customer service. Good food, decent variety. Their Lebanese olives and hummus are must haves along with pitas. Your one stop shop for all your authentic Mediterranean goods.

My husband and I visited Sahara on Sunday mid-day. From the moment you walk in, you get a pleasant vibe from the owners. They greet you with a smile and can’t wait to service you. Omg we had a table full of «tapas style» plates with a little of everything. I cannot tell you which one was my favorite, since they were all evenly delicious and authentic. Every item was extremely fresh and hand-made. If you are looking for an awesome place to enjoy a healthy lifestyle, this is the place. I pronise you will enjoy every bit of the food and overall that warm service. Can’t wait to go back this weekend!!!

A hole in the wall in a strip mall. The food was excellent, the service was fast, the owners are delightful. I love this place and will definitely be back. I had a stew made of eggplant, tomatoes, and meatballs. I’ve never had anything like it before and I’m in love with it. $ 10 with rice, a drink, and baklava.

Having grown up eating Mediterranean food, I’m of two minds concerning this review. The Tabouli was very good — fresh, and perfectly seasoned, although perhaps more bulgar could be added. The hummus and baba ghannouj were also great, and very fresh. The stuffed grape leaves were served cold, just out of the cooler. While this did bring back childhood memories of sneaking them out of the refrigerator, serving them ice cold is unacceptable for a restaurant. Minus 1 star. Had they been warm, they would have been rated as excellent. The Falafel was baked(not fried), which is OK but these were very soft, dry, and fell apart while trying to eat them — and also served cold, again just out of the cooler. Minus 1 star. We had to ask for tahinni. The«homemade» pita were dry and tough. Minus 1 star. I wanted so much to like this restaurant, but can not recommend it. There’s unrealized potential here.

It was around three in the afternoon and I hadn’t eaten yet. Unilocal guided me to an Italian restaurant in a strip mall, but they didn’t open until 4. I drove a bit further down and found this place in the same strip mall. I didn’t bother to check the reviews because I was starving. I walked in and half of the place is a grocery store, and the other half is a restaurant. I barely glanced at the menu as I was going to pass out if I didn’t eat soon. I ordered the Gyro and the Falafel wrap. I’ve only recently discovered Falafel, which is a deep fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. Unfortunately for this place, my first experience with Falafel was at another establishment that, according to Falafel connoisseurs, is the best around. Not to say that the Falafel served here is bad by any means though. Both the Gyro and Falafel wraps came out, and the pita had been hard pressed and grilled so that instead of the pita being nice, thick and soft, it was crunchy and thin. I went to the register to pay, and busted out my debit card as I had no cash on me. The owner swiped it through, but there was no place to tip him. I apologized, but he just waived me off and said it wasn’t an issue. The food overall was a 3. For two wraps and a bottle of coke, the grand total was $ 9.55, so the value bumps if up a half star. As I cannot rate this place a 3.5, it gets a 4. Hey, I’m not a monster. I already screwed the guy out of a tip, I’m not going to screw him out of a star as well.

I stopped in close to closing time on a weekday, took a moment to review the menu and ordered a gyro, falafel and two spinach pie for takeout. My thought was to taste each, bring the remainder home. When they arrived, I was delighted. Ate both the falafel and gyro, then ordered more to bring home to the family. I’ll be back. Great service, great grocery selection, clean, and jsut the best gyro and particularly falafel that I think I’ve had in Pinellas County. Superior and inexpensive.

Good gyros, a bit small but priced accordingly. Very good prices. Ridiculously low prices on many items. (ex. stuffed grape leaves(5) $ 1.99 — Meat pie $ 2.00)

I have always loved ethnic foods from this part of the world. Fresh, well spiced and full of flavors. I always come here for the meat pies, spinach pies and Gyro salad. Omar, who owns this place has a large selection of olives as well. Middle east grocery is their main business. He always has fresh baklavas and other sweat delectables on the counter. This place is a small mom and pap shop so expect the warm welcomes!
