Ruby Tuesday

Approximately a month ago, I wrote directly to
about an incident when trying to use a Ruby Tuesday coupon and the inappropriate behavior of the manager. If Ruby Tuesday is so concerned about its customers, shouldn’t I Ihave by now at least received the courtesy of a response to my concerns?

Very disappointed in the service this evening. I am sure the waitress wondered why her tip was so small. We gave about half what we usually do.
Me: «Do you still serve the biscuits?»
Waitress: «Yeah, we still serve those.» She walked away.
My friend: «Could I have a refill of iced tea?»
Waitress: «Yeah, but it will be a long wait because the bar is backed up.»
Hmmmm. Okay… well we never got the biscuits and passed on the refills. Someone needs to tell the waitress that when customers ask for something they actually WANT the item.

This used to be one of my favorite spots, but it has really gone downhill.
I’ve been coming to this location since it opened and have genuinely enjoyed it often until about last year. They used to have sleek, dark, romantic vibes, having the waiters dressed in all black. I kept coming back for the limitless fries, excellent burgers and fruit tea. Sadly, none of that is the case as of late.
The new staff wardrobe offsets the atmosphere with hideous bright colored shirts. Water is no longer served in a nice glass, but a cheap plastic mug with a handle.
Also, why is there so much BOLOGNA in the salad bar? Who wants to pay top dollar for BOLOGNA? Besides the salad bar, the burgers stopped being served with leaf lettuce on ceramic plates and now come in cheap baskets with shredded lettuce and an overly salted patty.
It breaks my heart, but after years of continued patronage I will not be coming back.

Three times I’ve been here, 3 times they’ve gotten the order wrong, lost the order, and every time they’re out of at least one main item. This time it was ribs. Really? Disorganized staff and over priced– no thanks, I’ll stick to Chilis.

We were so surprised. The steak was fantastic. Cooked medium rare and perfectly. I cut into the meat and she was pink and moist in the middle. Just amazing. I didn’t expect such excellent quality. The Spinach Artichoke dip was so delicious and the portion fitted our family of 4. When we ran out of chips, they were able to get us a bit more so that we didn’t waste it. At the end, we left a note for the cook for doing such a great job for my bday meal and we left the server a decent tip. :) I definitely recommend and we’ll be returning again soon.

When we started getting Ruby Tuesday commercials in El Paso I couldn’t help but wonder why the hell they would broadcast these burgers (always the burgers) in a city that doesn’t actually have a Ruby Tuesday. Then I found out there was a Ruby Tuesday in Las Cruces and wondered if they really believed I would drive 40 minutes for a burger.
Although I haven’t tried their burgers yet, I know I still won’t drive 40 minutes for a burger from Ruby Tuesday… but if I’m in the area and every cool looking local spot is packed and I’m in a party of less than three, I’ll head to Ruby Tuesday.
The service is probably the best I’ve ever seen in a chain. I’ll put it this way, when we arrived we could tell the manager hadn’t sat down once during their huge dinner rush. It was only my fiancé and me so even though there was quite a long line to be seated, we were seated immediately because almost all of their two seater booths were still open. Apparently this is the place to go with the whole family.
I like that their menu is a mix of a few things… like if Applebees and Red Lobster had a baby. Everything was broken up into sections: seafood, salad, steaks, burgers, and appetizers. We were drawn to the Shrimp Fondue. And as I’m writing that, it doesn’t actually sound all that appetizing, but it really was. The cheese was served with a nice, thin chip (a la Chili’s style). This was good and as long as this is on the menu, I’ll always start with this. Although the portion of chips was a little small so we had to ask for more.
We both chose seafood dishes and I was less impressed with them both, but I thought the lobster on my cellmate’s plate was a good size and tasty. I ordered the Jumbo Skewered Shrimp. Definitely not «jumbo» shimp… maybe medium sized. They did taste like they were cooked when ordered, but I wasn’t a fan of the large amount of seasoning they topped it with. The seasoning wasn’t bad it was just a bit too much. My sides were the loaded baked potato (I’d give that an A+) and the salad bar. The salad bar isn’t huge, but it’s big enough, has the usual suspects and some not so usual like edamame and peas.
Next time I’ll probably just stick to apps and the salad bar… and maybe a glass of wine. The service is fantastic and everybody does the part (if another waiter saw our drink was low, they wouldn’t hesitate to bring it over). Food is good for the most part and they really know how to accommodate a group or a small table.

Worst Ruby Tuesday ever! Food was mediocre! Gave it 3 stars because our waiter was great. They refused to honor our coupon because of a technicality. Will not be going there again. Manager said to call corporate office because there was nothing he could do.

Service was excellent! Employees were very friendly and made nice small conversation. My 3 children ages 7 and under absolutely loved the food! This restaurant is one of the best I have been to and I will definitely be back! I think Runy Tuesday just became my new favorite place!

I went with a group of ten and they set us up at two tall round tables, we literally had to shout across to talk to each other (why not use square tables?) which really ruined the experience of dinning with family. Amongst the group most enjoyed their food very much and our server was awesome. However the baked ravioli came in a small portion (see picture) and it was all a bit pricy. But perhaps I’m still upset I paid for a $ 15 meal and left hungry, I’m 140lbs doesn’t take much to fill me up I even had part of an appetizer.

. Its the first time I came across the restaurant and decided to hive it a try, food was OK nothing really that spectacular the spring roll was the best appetizer there oh how delicious the New York Cheese cake hit the spot

The last time I had been to a Ruby Tuesday’s was about 6 years ago in Florida. This was my first time eating at one in a long while and I was more than satisfied. The customer service was excellent even close to closing time. The service was fast the food was hot and the salad bar was stocked. Decent prices and a wide variety of food choices.

Very disappointed in the food and mostly the salad bar. Mentioned to them very nicely that the potato salad was extremely stale the girl said she’d check on it and never did. Then they bring us literally a 400 degree plate of cheese fries. The salad bar is not worth the $ 7.99!

Ruby Tuesdays is adequate. Their food has some healthy options like spaghetti squash as a side, and their steak is good, but service can run the gamut from fair to «we are ignoring you.» Last time we went there the floor manager was sneering and sarcastic when I complained that no one had come to take our drink order. Their salad bar would be good if it were kept filled but I’ve seen staff walk by it over and over again without refilling empty sections. They are more interested in vogueing for each other.

The food was simple but done absolutely right. The bourbon sauce on the grilled salmon was very good. The shrimp and grits took me back to the Mississippi delta with sausage, mushrooms and six cheese sauce. Great service made it even more enjoyable

Went last night for dinner and to try the new minis. As always the wait staff was attentive and friendly. The new minis… Not impressive at all. After seeing the ad on TV for the new minis I expected a choice of 5. They have three on their menu. I orders the beef and cheese. Expecting bacon and cheddar like the ad on TV showed. I got a half cooked mini burger with what looked to be no cheese and smothered in their «special sauce» which overpowered everything. I will go back but I won’t order the mini masterpiece again.

It’s overpriced so go with a coupon! Their «sadad bar» is a joke, and every time I’ve been to it there are items that are gone, fixings all over the place, it’s not well kept or replinished, and it’s a bitch trying to get to the items on the second row in the back. Worthless!
The burgers are good — where is the green chile add on option? I’ve had steak there and it was okay but nothing to wright home about. Typical chain food basically. Service is good, tables too small for four people, it gets a bit trashy on the floors when crowded.

Another chain restaurant that I have decided to review today. Since moving here over a year ago, we have been to Ruby Tuesday at least 4 times. We have never been disappointed in the quality of the food. Lobster, steak, salmon, lobster mac n cheese, mashed cauliflower, and gumbo have all been very good. My wife enjoys the salad bar. Ruby Tuesday is good enough as a chain that we signed up for special event notification, promotions, and discount offers on birthdays and anniversaries.

Consistent food, consistent service and a good atmosphere. Enjoy coming after church on Sunday’s, but anytime is a good choice too! One of our favorites in this town!
