We decided to try Avery after checking out the reviews. Sorry to say it was a disappointment. The drip coffee was so weak, it barely tasted like coffee. We would have returned it, but drove home before we tried it. I hope it was just an off day.

I love this little gem! Located hidden in a corner in Village Square, Avery’s is definitely one of the best coffee shops in town. Not only do they roast their own coffee, I appreciate how cozy and unique it is(I’m not a fan of chains). The owners are a couple, Avery and his lovely wife, that I hear used to travel often and try different coffee shops around the world. They must have learned a lot because this place is great! I love how personable they are and ready to recommend. The shop also has books available to read while you are there or purchase to take home with you. I really love the family feel aspect to it. I highly recommend the«Honey Vanilla» and flat white. The inside is on the smaller end, as well as some seating on the small patio outside. Perfect spot for a relaxing cup of quality tea or coffee.

One of the best coffee places in town! I’ve been a patron here since they opened and I always enjoy chatting, sipping on Sherman’s latest roast and enjoying a fabulous panini sandwich creation. Excellent quality and personable service from Sherman and Linda! I totally recommend checking them out.

This place looks really cool and has a nice vibe. I got the cobb salad, it was pretty good, it doesn’t have lettuce, so make sure you like spinach. I got the black iced tea with berries and liked it, warning! it’s pretty sweet. They have a few book cases with used books you can purchase and a tv tuned to ESPN. I wish my laptop was charged so I could sit outside and not hear the country music. The coffee beans are freshly roasted and it’s refreshing to see a place that is local/not a chain, in Vegas.

My kids and I love avery’s so much. The coffee is wonderful, the hot chocolates are perfect, and every food item we’ve ever ordered has been delicious. My kids love the chocolate muffins and I’m a big fan of the crepes. The owners are adorable and dedicated to customer service. I love the atmosphere… it is a great place to spend the morning… or afternoon!

Had an americano and a breakfast panini. The coffee was very smooth and fresh. The panini had a chipotle sauce and was surprisingly good, better than I expected. The seats and tables get a bit cramped up when busy but that just adds to its«busy coffee shop» feel. Very nice experience overall.

Pleasantly independent down home ambiance with an interestingly eclectic menu(I’ll be back for the grits), comfortably priced with an extraordinarily affably knowledgeable owner and staff serving terrific signature coffees roasted in house. Thanks much for the gracious hospitality… k

This is a first class coffee house with bags of beans in the back from all over the world. They roast their beans for other places so you know they’re good. The shop is hidden in the center next to Jollibee’s and a bike shop.

We stopped by here during our Vegas vacation after having shabu shabu next door at Yojie. I was very glad to find a decent cup of coffee, conveniently located. Avery’s is a super cute small shop that has a small patio full out seating out front, and a small amount of little tables nestled inside. They have different tea pots and coffee and accessories for sale, as well as a vibrant atmosphere and comfortable atmosphere that you would expect at any good coffee shop. The baristas were both very friendly and knew how to make a mean latte correctly. I always super appreciate that, as well as the great customer service. My husband ordered an iced tea — made from the earl grey blend that they had on the shelf, and it was fantastic as well. We didn’t wait long for our orders and we were soon sitting out on the patio enjoying our drinks. I especially liked my cup sleeve that was beautifully printed with a sprawling tree and leaves — a super cute touch. I noticed that they had small café offerings as well as some pastries and cheesecakes up front in a glass case. While I didn’t so much as glance at them because I wasn’t there for food, they seemed to have a nice array of fare that looked decent. I’m not sure I’ll ever be back around where Avery’s is located, but I’m giving 5 stars for excellence — thank you for a great experience and fantastic coffee!

I live nearby and hadn’t been in this shop yet. Now I’m kicking myself for not coming sooner. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the coffee is amazing! They actually roast the beans themselves right on the premises! I had a small coffee, just to try them out, and a banana nut muffin to go with my coffee. I was not disappointed. The coffee was smooth and rich, and the muffin was fresh, moist, and tasty. I’ll most definitely be back to try some of their other amazing varieties of coffee, and maybe sample some of their teas as well.

Do yourself a favor and go to Avery’s! Their coffee is delicious, their lattes are very smooth(not just all sugar like other coffee shops), and the prices are very reasonable. Oh, and I had a vegan panini there the other day that was de-lish! The owners are so kind and pleasant. This is definitely a local company worth supporting!

Friendly staff and they now roast coffee beans on site, which are then used in their brews as well as bagged and sold. There are a variety of food and dessert options, and there are usually some new dessert options every few weeks. Yum! The breakfast pannini was delicious!

Lynda and Sherman are such cool, nice people. You can get lost for hours talking coffee. Coffee is roast on premises! That’s a big deal for you amateurs. New menu additions must be tried! I love the atmosphere and it’s real coffee, not Starbucks. Yay!

Avery’s is a 5 minute drive away from my home. I love seeing Ms Linda and her husband. I have stopped in for a total of 3 times and each time… I order something new in addition to my regular order and then make additional purchases for my friends and family for carry out. I am in love with the tea there and I love drinking the coffee there as well(I will have it black). Please be adventurous when you do find yourself venturing into Avery’s. You may even purchase the books resting on the book shelves to the right of the door entrance coming in. Thank you, Ms. Linda. I will be stopping in again soon.

I have unfortunately only been here once since it’s about 30 minutes from my house. I wish this place was closer. The breakfast sandwich was the best I ever had. My boyfriend ordered a cappuccino and loved it. He is very picky with coffee.

I have never been to Avery’s before, and I decided to pop in today for a cup of coffee. It’s so interesting to me that they roast their own beans! I tried the Brazilian Oberon jade brew over ice, but the owner Linda also offered me a sample of their cold brew because I told her that I work at Starbucks. That was very sweet; I appreciated that she considered me a «coffee person» and wanted to share her passion with me. The cold brew is delicious! Smooth with almost no acidity– nutty and citrusy at the same time. She switched out my Brazilian for the cold brew and I left happy. Avery is the neighborhood coffee shop that I wish Starbucks still was. Thank you for your warm customer service!

Avery’s is your friendly neighborhood family owned and operated coffee house and I must say that I think I found my new favorite coffee joint! As soon as I walked in with my friend we were greeted with a warm smile from the owner and the staff behind the counter. We placed our orders in detail and they were made exactly the way we asked for. My friend ordered an Espresso Macchiato, which he enjoyed very much and I ordered a Latte with almond milk extra hot and I gotta say that it was one of the hardiest and tastiest lattes I’ve ever had. The coffee has no bitter after taste and it was very smooth yet bold. I also like the fact that their alternative milks don’t have vanilla sweetener, which is very smart of them to consider. I was told by the owner that the added sweeteners in the alternative milks alters the taste of the coffee and thats why they don’t offer it, but they do offer syrups and a variety of sugars that you can add to your drink. Another thing that I love about Avery’s is that they play easy listening radio in the background and makes for a very relaxing and down to earth atmosphere. And they also provide free wifi and a nice selection of books you can read while enjoying your drink. Another plus to this coffee joint is that their prices are very reasonable and I like the fact that the vibage here is not pretentious at all compared to other establishments in the area. If you haven’t tried Avery’s I highly recommend you do. I’m positive you won’t regret it!

Coffee coffee coffee !!! I am a coffee freak and I loved the coffee and pastries here, it’s in kind of hidden Plaza on Sahara, I pass by this place every day for 5 years now and never knew of its existence, until I discovered this on Unilocal here. Definitely a to go place to grub my coffee if I am passing by!!!

I am not particularly fond of Avery’s coffee. I ordered an iced latte and my mom had their dark brew. Both drinks tasted like they were watered down, as compared to our preference of a deep flavored coffee. Won’t be back. Plus points for friendly staff though.

Drink. Coffee. Here.(And tea too!) Avery’s may be a best-kept coffee secret on the westside. They roast their own coffee and have their loose tea made locally. It’s kind of hidden in plain sight in the Village Square shopping center on W. Sahara. When I was there it was quiet and casual, very clean and decorated with books you can also buy.(A cool touch!) If you prefer to sit outside, there’s also ample outdoor seating. I can’t believe I’ve driven right by this shop so many times and not noticed it before. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if he was Avery and he said yes(his first name is Sherman). As we ordered and asked about the place, he took the time to talk to us about the business, the coffee he roasts right in the back, and the variety of teas available too. If you’re a little hungry, they have a menu with light fare on it as well and everything looked delicious.(I didn’t eat but will sample the food next time for sure.) Thanks to a friend suggesting we meet there for coffee, I have a new favorite coffee shop. If you’re looking for a recommendation, order the Vietnamese coffee. It’s not just coffee. Rather Sherman prepares it one cup at a time by filtering the coffee through a very fine filter, letting it collect on top of a small layer of sweetened, condensed milk. Truly delicious and perfectly prepared. Well worth the wait. Swing by Avery’s and grab a coffee or tea, a little lunch or snack, and plan on taking a few minutes to sit and enjoy the place.

OMG this place is a hidden gem!!! Probably the best tea I have ever tasted. and that’s saying a lot. My bf got the South Sea Magic, and I got the almond cookie… BOTHUNSWEETENED. Literally the most amazing and intense flavors for such great prices! The shop owner I believe is this gorgeous lady, who is so polite and sweet! :) She gave me a little bit of information about her tea. The interior of this place is gorgeous. They have exceptionally fast WI-FI, it is very clean, not your typical hipster coffee joint but more of a cute café. It reminds me of your original café/coffee shop filled with shelves full of books to read, a donation book box for children, delicious pastries, and yummy selections of food. This will definitely be my local go to coffee shop because of their quality, service, and comfort. Thank you Avery’s! :)

«Roses are red, violets are rare. Coffee, coffee, coffee rockin’ everywhere» Avery’s is another great spot to get your Java Jolt on in the Valley. I popped in after a meeting and met Linda behind the counter who was friendly and accommodating. After using my check-in offer, which takes $.50 off any large espresso drink, she informed me that they roast all their beans in house and get their beans from a local distributor. Local, local, local rockin’ everywhere! Inside Avery’s it looks very much like a coffee shop that your gam-gam might want to hang out. Stained glass, flowers, and older clientele scattered around the space. Not traditionally a place that I would like to set up shop and work for a while. If you’re younger this is a get it and go spot, but for older cats it’s a great place to catch up on old times and talk about the new fangled Flat TVs they have today. The espresso here was very good and had a clean taste. No SBUX burnt standard here. Good spot for coffee and a very friendly staff. Hmmm, so roasty!
