If you want something a little low key and inexpensive, for dinner, in Vegas, try what looks to me like the original Buca Di Beppo. The bar was nice, but not fancy. We did not have a reservation, so it was really nice to sit, at the bar, and have a drink while we waited, for a table. I guess since we didn’t have a reservation, we got the booth we got; in the corner kind of squeezed behind a booth, and next to a table. But, that was fine, since we didn’t have to get up too much, since there was no way not to knock into the woman’s chair closest, to us. The service was friendly. They have complimentary house wine, which is a very nice touch. If you are picky I am sure you can buy a bottle, as well. There was complimentary garlic bread, too. The house salad was really nice. The Chicken Parmesan was good, but the spinach was incredible. I could have eaten a huge bowl! There was also a side of pasta. The Spumoni dessert was different than I had ever seen. It was like a slice of cake. It was much too cold, and hard. I would have liked it better, if it had sat out for about 20 minutes. I love Angelo Brocato’s Spumoni, in New Orleans, so I was comparing. But, the star of the meal(dare I say, even better than the spinach) was the complimentary cappuccino. It was out of this world. I am glad we went and it was nice, because it was a short walk, from our hotel.

If I had to some up this restaurant in one sentence, it would be… traditional Italian fare in an eclectic setting featuring old time Vegas memorabilia and charm. But don’t come here if you aren’t hungry. You will be getting a lot of food! You will also be leaving with garlic breath. You have been warned. Their all inclusive menu features: Minestrone Soup or Italian Salad Complimentary House Wine Garlic Bread Pasta Side Homemade Cappuccino My favorite dish(and only dish I have tried) is the eggplant parmigiana. It’s gooey, garlicy and tasty!

Great service, good food, and free wine. Not badly priced either. Not sure if it’s an authentic place or a tourist attraction but it doesn’t matter it feels real.

The wait time and the price of the meal didn’t do anything for me. The wife had the Lasagna and I had the Manicotti. Both were good, but not worth the price.

Service was great… Cocktails okay. Food mediocre. Bar area. Wait for table an hour. Big portions. I would not go out if my way to return. But wouldn’t avoid it if that’s where the group wanted to go.

Battista’s Hole(in the Wall) is a tourist trap of the highest order: kitschy and overpriced. Prepare to be accosted by an accordion-wielding septuagenarian — whose limited oeuvre means you’ll suffer through the same tunes several times — while feasting on mediocre food served by a less-than-attentive waiter.

You know what? We really thought this place was pretty neat! I had heard about it many years ago, but we never had a chance to go until recently. The décor is very eclectic! We were staying at The Linq, so it was a quick 10 – 15 minute walk. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The tables are close together so you can hear the other tables conversations. We were given a large carafe of both white and red wine at our table. The food is old school Italian– the minestrone soup was really good, as was the garlic bread. I had lasagna(huge portion!) and my husband had spaghetti with meatballs. The cappuccino was great as a dessert! Our bill was $ 50 – 60 for two– a great deal for this much food in Vegas! We will return!

Had been to Battista’s several years ago, and it has gone downhill in a hurry. Meals are $ 20-$ 40 and come with soup or salad, garlic bread, and unlimited red and white wine. Servers were great, very attentive and an older gentleman named Gordon plays his accordion at your table. For that reason alone I add the second star. Beware…the wine is not drinkable. The salad didn’t appear fresh and was served so quickly that they had to be mass produced and sitting around in the kitchen. The meatballs were good, but the sausage was lacking in taste. We had ravioli and spaghetti as well, I can’t believe how bad the sauce was… bitter and tasteless. There has to be better Italian food in Vegas… and I’ll be searching for it next visit.

Unlimited wine? I’m in 100%. I’m aggrieved that I wasn’t informed about this enticing deal sooner. Located off Flamingo and the Linq, Battista’s Hole in the Wall has all the character of an old school Italian restaurant. The entryway makes you feel like you’re in a giant wine barrel, and the area by the host stand is a feast for the eyes. From floor to ceiling, Battista’s is lined with interesting tid bits and knick-knacks(like an extensive collection of mini liquor bottles!). Lighting is dim and like any good Italian joint, patrons are greeted with the sound of raucous laughter and conversation. Reservations are a must — we arrived on a Tuesday evening with reservations at 8PM. We were lucky to find parking in the crowded lot. Amid the hustle and bustle, we ended up being seated at 8:15PM. CHEESEMANICOTTI($ 25.95): Like all meals on the menu, this entrée comes with a salad or minestrone soup, garlic bread, unlimited house red and white wine, and a cappuccino at meal’s end. I opted for the salad as my starter, which was heavily dressed in Italian and had sparse toppings(1 olive, 1 slice of mozzarella, 1 sweet pepper, etc.). Though lacking creativity, the salad was fine. The accompanying garlic bread was warm, fresh, and delicious. The manicotti was served with a side of creamed spinach, which helped to break up the overwhelming amount of cheese on the manicotti. Instead of being served in wine glasses, guests are provided with small shot-like glasses to use for the wine. Kind of odd, but after a few glasses I cared not. The cappuccino was a sweet treat that I enjoyed every second of. 4⁄5 CHICKENRIO($ 29.95): «Superb» according to my husband. He said the sauce was quite similar to jagerschnitzel sauce. Served with a side of shredded zucchini. He’d order the same thing again! He didn’t leave a speck of food left on the plate and was so full he couldn’t drink any more wine. 5⁄5 SERVICE: Food came out quickly and in order. The waitress was a bit over flirtatious but she took care of us overall. Worth a Return Visit? On the whole, I rather enjoyed my meal. I wouldn’t order the manicotti again, but will definitely come back to order another menu item at Battista’s. For an Italian meal with Vegas panache, you can’t beat the deal Battista’s offers. Dinner for two cost $ 60 pre-tip, a bargain for Strip prices. Unilocal100CHALLENGE2016: #13

What a fun place to go! We took a group of 7 and made reservations. The table was ready when we arrived. The atmosphere was old time Vegas. The service was fast but we never felt like we were rushed. The cappuccino at the end was the perfect way to end the meal. Will definitely come back the next time we are in Vegas

I’m really picky about Italian food, so when my friend picked this place for us all to go for dinner on the night of her big old 40th birthday bash… I was only going to humor her. And I was sure glad I did! I really loved this place, it’s basic, tasty food, wine, accompanied by fantastic service. Everyone there was so nice, and the place was warm and inviting. Unlimited red and white wine, that they bring in carafe’s to your table, reminded me of my aunts and uncles when I was small. Ahhh the good old days! I will definitely make the short trek out there the next time I’m in Vegas, well worth it!

The big draw here is the cheap unlimited free wine! The food was panned food sitting around for a long time. It’s a one hit wonder. Don’t expect anything too flavorful. If you’re a Foodie, don’t expect you’ll make a second trip here. This is a place where you’d find your frugal grandparents at. The seating flow at this restaurant is unexplained like Area 51, place looks empty but there’s a long wait. I suspect it’s the people lounging around drinking the free wine after dinner. Move along folks, people are waiting!

This restaurant is the epitome of a hole in the wall, a place you would never think to stop by but is quite a find. To keep it simple, the food is amazing, the prices are right, and the service is excellent. We stepped in, as it was a minute walk from our hotel, and we were all glad we did. As a family of five and knowing their portions were large we got three dinners and passed them around. The lasagna, ravioli, and sausage and peppers were all delicious. Along with the meal you get bottomless red and white wine, salad or soup, and homemade cappuccinos. The environment is very homey and the service topped it off to make the experience memorable. If you’re in the mood for some traditional Italian food, I would definitely recommend you check out this hole in the wall.

I went back here after a great experience the first time… I had a friend here visiting from Australia and wanted to show him something different and special… I up talked this place from my good first time memories… We waited a while for our table, even though we had reservations… But, got a drink at the bar… All good… Service then was quick… I ordered the same think I ordered last time… Chicken Rio… He ordered the lasagna… The chicken was rubber… I could tell not freshly cooked!!! Waiter came to the table to see how we were and I said, «not so good» I told the waiter it was inedible. He took my plate and that was it… I shared the mediocre lasagna with my Aussie and left so embarrassed!!! No compensation NOTHING! Never going back… Unless it is free of course…

I’ve driven past Battista’s a million times. I am a frequent patron at Stage Door, but have never gone to Battista’s until my bachelorette party on Wednesday night. We had a reservation, and they do not seat until your entire party has arrived… which is pretty standard practice. We really enjoyed ourselves. Service was fast and polite. I ordered the Veal Marsala, which comes with(as all entrees do): unlimited red or white house wine, a side of pasta, garlic bread, soup or salad, and a cappucino. The veal was to die for. Tender, light, flavorful. The minestrone soup was great too, and the garlic bread… well…thankfully someone moved it away from me, or I would have eaten the whole basket. I stole a bite of tortellini from a friend, along with a bite of shrimp scampi, and manacoti(what, it was my night, I can eat all the things if I want to!!) and all of them were great. The shrimp was absolutely perfect. For the price point, I thought that everything was very good. I’ll definitely be back again.

We thought it would be fun to give this place a try while here in Las Vegas. The décor is what everyone says, over the top chinch. The autographed pictures on the wall of star from bygone era. The food was quite possibly the worst Italian food I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the cannelloni because it’s a dish often served for special occasions. The dish arrives decorated in the green white and red colors of the Italian flag and thoroughly heated through. The amount of salt in this dish was off the charts! Two forkfuls into it I was reaching for the water. When the server came back to ask how everything was i stated that I didn’t like my dish because of the salt. She just said«okay I’ll tell them» and walked away. No offer to replace the dish and at the end no offer to remove any part of the dish off the bill. I will not return to this place nor do I recommend this place. Stay away!

I would consider this place a classic Vegas must-do. It can get pretty crowded, so reservations are a good idea. The ambiance and décor are just totally awesome. The walls are packed with all kinds of pictures and autographs and other things to look at. It’s got exactly the kind of character that I love. There’s even an elderly man with a accordion thing that walks around and serenades the tables.(Tips are encouraged.) I just absolutely loved it. The menu is posted up on the wall and is pretty straightforward. You get unlimited red or white wine. You get a house salad or minestrone soup. You get garlic bread. You choose your entrée(there are about 5 different price levels ranging from $ 22 to $ 40), everything from spaghetti and meatballs to ribeye. If your entrée doesn’t already involve pasta, you get a side of penne with marinara sauce. You get a cappuccino. For the amount of food and drink involved and the quality, it’s a pretty good deal for your money. The wine was pretty good for being house wine.(We went with the red.) The salad was tasty — I liked the dressing. The minestrone soup was some of the best we’ve had. Our entrees were large and filling and yum. I opted for the steak caruso. It was a perfectly cooked steak on top of pasta with mushrooms and other veggies and just a little bit of a kick. The cappuccino was good. And we even got a free dessert, complete with a candle, since we mentioned it was our anniversary when we made our reservation. And that was tasty too. It wasn’t the best pasta ever or anything, but it was good. And the ambiance made it awesome. The service was great. Friendly and attentive. Never rushed. Checked on just the right amount. Good pace to all the food. All in all, we had a wonderful meal and experience here. I look forward to coming back.

Battistas was a surprise to me. I have never been here before but I have lived here for about five years. Thought it was time to try it out. We went in on a Saturday night around 7pm barely had to wait and were greeted by friendly staff. The server came and greeted us with two bottles of wine, garlic bread and answered all our questions. I got the lasagna and my boyfriend got three chicken parm. The lasagna was a good size portion, just enough cheese and meat. I really liked it but it wasn’t amazing just good. The chicken parm was pretty thick-not the best way to serve a chicken parm in my opinion. It should have been thinner and easier to eat. It came with cream of spinach and the portion was also really big. You will be full no matter what you get here. Plus the wine is unlimited! The free cappuccino is also awesome don’t forget it at the end! Will be back the next time I want to be wasted and full.
