I REALLY want to give this place more stars because they were very accommodating with my schedule. I bought a groupon for a 90 minute massage and had to cancel my scheduled appointment the morning of because my son was home sick from school. Although we played phone tag(leaving voicemails back and forth), one of their messages said they were on vacation for 2 weeks and would be returning on 10⁄21. My groupon expired on 10⁄23 but they called me right when they got back into the office and got me scheduled for that day. I was super excited! When I got there, the office smelled like smoke because it’s located right next door to a bar. The receptionist was SUPER nice and my appointment started on time. I told Eugenia that I had a lower back injury that a deep tissue massage a month before really had helped so if she could just spend a little bit more time there. She said she would use hot towels and hot stones… I have had a hot stone massage before and it was amazing so I was hopeful that this one would be as well. Once the massage started, I was instantly disappointed. I have had MANY massages and this was by far, the worst one I have ever had. I agree with the other reviewer that the strokes were lazy and it was overall just terrible. She took way too much time with prepping the hot towels and hot stones and not enough time on the actual massage. In hindsight, I’m actually glad because the massage was so bad. I couldn’t relax at all and couldn’t wait for it to be over. I also agree with the draping that the other reviewer said. It was not done appropriately. I would definitely not return here for a massage unless I had someone else. They really need to think about replacing Eugenia and getting someone else in there. I feel badly because it’s a family owned business and I would like to support them but after the worst massage I have ever had, I’m afraid I’ll have to go elsewhere.

I got an Amazon Local Deal for Bellarosa, and after I was in a car accident, I could really use it. Because the accident left some bruises on my legs, the masseuse said she couldn’t give me the massage I asked for, but they said they wouldn’t charge me any more, which turned out to be a lie. The massage itself was nothing to write home about, except that it was definitely not worth the additional $ 50 they made me pay for it. They were hardly worth the first $ 40 I paid, the $ 50 just left me steaming at what I had wasted my money on. Don’t bother going here.

Worst Massage I’ve Ever Had by Eugenia… Since I realize that massage therapists are contractors, I would be willing to return here and have a session with a different therapist. Owner may want to consider having potential therapists give her a massage so she can know what customers experience. The following is my review… I visited Bellarosa Skincare and Spa with a Groupon for a 90 minute massage. My massage started 30 minutes late. When my massage was over, I noted that I only had a 60 minute massage, not 90 minutes. The therapist, Eugenia, talked throughout the entire session. In addition, she was asking very personal questions, which I felt was inappropriate and unprofessional(what is my age and other questions I do not want to repeat). Also, the draping was not held down in a respectful manner. When I was told to turn from my stomach to my back, the drape was lifted high so that my body was exposed. The bolster used for my knees were no were near my knees but instead were placed in my mid calf area — which was uncomfortable. The pressure was light, the technique was odd(short strokes and circular). It was a «lazy» style of massage. Therapist said my hair was long and took a hair clip from her own hair and placed it in my hair. Throughout the session, she asked me 4 or 5 times if I was enjoying the massage — one time was enough. Ironically, therapist feels she gives one of the best massages out there. I am sorry that the experience with this therapist tainted my visit to the spa. Owner and other staff is friendly and down to earth, and the spa is immaculate. However, this particular therapist is bringing down the quality of this spa.

I had a received a groupon gift for a facial at this spa. I was excited at how quick I could make an appointment and get right in. Although this was a gift I had to add on services because it was pretty much an appointment for the woman to just rinse my face. Ended up paying for exfoliant, extractions, masks… so extra $ 40 on top of the groupon. To say this experience was painful would be an understatement. I left bleeding and now on day 3 with scabs all over my face. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. DONOTGOHERE! I can’t believe they would ever have returning clients.

I purchased an Amazon Local deal last year for an 80-minute Swedish massage for $ 39. Since I am a full-time dental student always in a dilemma of wanting a massage but not willing to pay full price for it, I could not pass up this deal! Unfortunately, due to being a dental student, I realized that my voucher was nearly up for expiration. I frantically called to make an appointment to see what my options were. I was kindly greeted by Michelle on the phone and told her my situation. She had said that due to one of her massage therapists leaving to pursue another path, she would extend the voucher deadline to accommodate for that. Phew! I was relieved. I quickly chose the next availability, which was luckily during my spring break. Perfect! Now on to the massage. I had my appointment with Nick, who was very professional. The room was very clean, which is very important to me. You won’t believe the things I learn in my microbiology class! Cleanliness is top on my list. The room was warm enough to feel comfortable and get settled into those nice, silky sheets. Nick addressed my concerns with the tension in my right shoulder/arm/hand aka my «future money maker». He really put the perfect amount of pressure so that it was neither too light nor too painful. Needless to say, I fell asleep by the end of my appointment. He says that’s a major compliment for massage therapists. Sadly, my professors don’t think the same when I fall asleep during lectures. I didn’t want my massage to end, but of course, I had a study date with my laptop. I felt beyond relaxed and refreshed after that appointment. Nick was even waiting at the door with a nice cold bottle of water(though I wouldn’t have complained if he showed up with an ice cold wine cooler or beer). Eh, maybe next time. He also reminded me that stretching before and after drilling would be beneficial as to reduce the tension. I have to keep that in mind for next time. As my classmates are probably tired of hearing, it is all about«ergonomics». With that said, I am very pleased with my visit at Bellarosa Skincare Spa. Michelle even told me about their March massage special. $ 49 for a 90-minute Swedish massage so long as you book within the month of March and mention this special. I know I will be doing that as soon as I find out when I have free time because we all know dental students have all this«extra time» on their hands.

I was so looking forward to trying this place. I bought 2 Livingsocial deals, to use as a girls day out. I called & made the appts(we had a full day planned, with other activities & this was one of them). I was told my appts(they took names & contact info) would be blocked & I would need to call back with the voucher #‘s. I asked if there was a deadline I needed to call back by, like that evening, and was told«no, just call back before your appts». When I called back they were closed, so I left a message. I got a return call saying«someone had unblocked our appts, the slots had been rebooked & we no longer had services». They were booked solid that day & the soonest they could get us in would be 3 days away. When I asked what happened, I was told the lady didn’t know why the appts were«unblocked», but it was probably because I didn’t call back with the voucher #‘s. I explained I specifically asked if there was a deadline & was told no. She said she didn’t know what to say or do. I suggested her calling the people who had our appts & canceling them & giving us our scheduled appts back — she said that wouldn’t be right, they made appts. My mouth dropped — did you really just say that… I HADAPPTS& you had no problem canceling mine. I told her how disappointed I was in their customer service that I was thinking about calling Livingsocial & getting a refund. Nothing from her — no sorry, let me see how we can accommodate you or fix this. Needless to say, I just got off the phone cancelling this voucher. That $$ spent will now go to a competitor, with this potential customer never walking into the establishment due to awful service at the front desk, not to mention the bad publicity via word of mouth. How do they handle appts with people that don’t have vouchers… do they need to provide upfront $$ or credit card #‘s? I was told they did not know if I was serious about the vouchers or if I really had them. What does that mean??? If I couldn’t produce a voucher # I would paid another way.

I had a groupon for a Decadent Back Treatment and gave Bellarosa a try. The location is not huge, but once you’re inside, it’s very relaxing. The treatment rooms are very nice, but the best part is the amazing treatment! I’ve had several back facials and this one was by far the best. The massage was amazing, the scrubs worked well, and I was sooooo relaxed. Michelle is like a professional and an angel rolled into one. I will definitely be back!
