Today was Comme Ça Las Vegas’ last day. It was unfortunately the only opportunity we had to visit after we heard about their closure. Well, we tried to come for lunch last week, but one of the hotel representatives informed me that would be open just for Social Hour and Dinner. Very sad — there were some items I really wanted to try(Duck Confit Cinnamon Roll, Oxtail Benedict). Tonight, we sat in the lounge so we could take advantage of the Social Hour menu, but that was eliminated. I was told that even the Dinner menus had been newly printed(removing several dishes). More menu items lost forever(Escargot & Mushroom Pie, Bone Marrow & Oxtail Jam). I was very disappointed. Either way, we still made the best of it. St. Pierre($ 15): Absinthe, Elderflower liqueur, fresh lime juice, muddled mint, star anise, and ginger beer. The ingredients sounded promising, especially since it included some of my favorites, and it delivered! Fantastic cocktail; really delicious. Mediterranean Octopus($ 18): Squid ink, Merguez, Panisse, Sauce Charmoula. The octopus was nice, although the char was a bit much for me(tasted too burnt). The other elements were good. Board of the Beast($ 22): Chicken liver pâté, assorted dried salumi and sausage, mustard fruits, whole grain mustard, crostini, and pickled vegetables. The pâté was FABULOUS. I could eat that forever. The other charcuterie was great too. Frisée Aux Lardons($ 14): 7-Minute egg, crispy pig fries, and warm bacon vinaigrette. Great salad. Loved the egg, the crispy pork fat/skin, and the large chucks of bacon with the frisée and biting vinaigrette. Great composition. The Comme Ça Burger($ 20): Prime Beef, Vermont cheddar, onion slaw, and secret sauce. Served with frites. The burger doesn’t look like much and it’s not piled on like most burgers you see now, but it packs a punch. The buns are soft and the meat is tender. Good flavors together, but it didn’t wow me. I wouldn’t go for it again. The fries were great. Brussels Sprouts($ 12): Roasted with toasted hazelnuts, candied bacon, and bourbon maple glaze. Good Brussels sprouts. Nothing mind altering, but good. Not worth the $ 12 though. Verdict: Bar, great. Service, good. Food, okay/good. The meal was good, but nothing terribly exciting. It’s sad to see the place go, but I’m excited to see what Chef Daniel does next!

Came here for a quick brunch before heading to the airport. The restaurant was empty, you can tell this place is more of a dinner place. The brunch menu your usual with some interesting options. The cinnamon bun with duck sounded delish to me, so I ordered it. Came in a flat board, the cinnamon buns was on one end with duck rolled into it, sweet and savory it was good the cream cheese was maybe a tad too sweet and also came with a side of back bacon this was a nice touch. Overall it was a good experience.

Even though the foie gras ban was lifted in CA right before my trip, I was still in Vegas to eat foie! A bunch of my friends had been to Comme Ca and enjoyed the foie, so I wanted to try it. Unfortunately, the day we went, they didn’t have foie on the menu. After drooling over all the pix on Unilocal,I was so disappointed. Luckily, I asked our waiter and he in turn asked the chef. The chef made me a special foie appetizer! Yay! *Cardamom & fig old fashioned: house made cardamom & fig infused rye, brown sugar, aromatic bitters($ 15) I really enjoyed this. Sometimes old fashioneds can be be a little too sweet for me, but this was nicely balanced. *Board of the beast: mustard fruits, grilled country bread($ 22) This is huge! The roommate loves charcuterie so we normally order it if a restaurant serves it. A nice variety of meats. Also, you get pickles with this, so no need to order the house pickles if you get the charcuterie.(Can you tell we were going to order it?! Lol!) *French onion soup: sweet onion, melted gruyère cheese($ 12) This was slightly too sweet for me. The soup had great flavor though. And the melted gruyère was nice and cheesy! *Frisee aux lardons: 7-minute egg, crispy pig fries, warm bacon vinaigrette($ 14) Okay, this was just plain bad. The egg was super salty and the frisee didn’t taste dressed. The salad needed some kind of vinegar or citrus to cut into the salty egg and bacon. This was definitely the worst dish. *Bone marrow & oxtail jam: parsley, shallot, lemon($ 16) The bone marrow was delish! Soft and buttery. They give you a lot of oxtail jam. Not sure if this was meant to be eaten together, but there wasn’t enough bone marrow to eat with all the oxtail jam. *Beef tartare: olive oil poached egg yolk, house pickles, grilled country bread($ 16) This tasted fine, but I had a texture issue with the tartare. It was chopped a little too fine, so the texture was really mushy. *Foie gras torchon & Seared foie gras: app special($ 30) I ate this whole thing all by myself! I told our server I wanted a nice seared foie app. Imagine my surprise when I got both seared foie and foie gras torchon! I was super happy! So in all, without the foie, I’d probably give Comme Ca 3 or 3.5 stars for the food. Some dishes were good, but there was no excuse for that awful salad. Given I got my foie fix, 4 stars it is!

On the third floor of the Cosmopolitan you will find a collection of fine restaurants to choose from, Comme ÇA should be one of them. This place has been on my bucket list for a while and when a potential date asked me to choose a restaurant, I decided, why not? Comme ÇA it is. Dark, romantic and overlooking the Strip, the atmosphere engulfed me and I couldn’t help but feel like I was in a James Bond movie. The only thing missing was a martini. As expected, the food was rich and delicious. The standout was the amazing Bone Marrow and Oxtail Jam($ 16) – sinfully indulgent and heart clogging, I inhaled that dish with great relish. Our waitress was great – sweet and knowledgeable of the entire menu. So I embarked on this date more excited at the prospect of gulping down bone marrow rather than meeting this dude. Does that make me an asshole? Probably. But more importantly, would I go back to Comme ÇA? Absolutely.

A beautiful French spot with some amazing strip views! The restaurant is very comfortable and cozy with a sexy Parisian feel. The modern and classic touches are everywhere and the service is always great. On this particular visit we ordered a cheese plate with honey comb which never disappoints and a few french onion soups, then steak & frites for the man & I decided on the special which was trout almondine. All items were great and definitely one of the best french onion soups in town with the perfect crispy, cheesy crust. Let’s get to the views. I love sitting in a dark room and just watching my surroundings. The bright colors from the outside keep flashing into the dark room and I love the energy of Las Vegas Blvd. Its all around you but yet you’re in a very comfortable spot at a beautiful table just enjoying everything. I also want to point out that they have an amazing social hour menu for cocktails & food at the bar & lounge. We absolutely love this spot.

I made reservations for dinner here for my family and myself weeks in advance, noting that we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and requesting a window seat. We arrived promptly at 6pm and no one else was at the restaurant yet. Yet they sat us at a table by the window at the far end of the restaurant, across from the Mile High neon banner billboard(over Walgreens) — not on the other end, across from the Paris and the«Eiffel Tower». I’m not sure why they did this, as even when we left after our meal, there were only a few other diners present. Oh well, for this I ding them one star. Other than this seating issue, the meal and the service were fantastic! One of my kids wasn’t feeling well so she ordered a Soup a l’Oignon Gratinee(French onion soup) which she unfortunately couldn’t really eat. I don’t recall what I ordered, but it was a small appetizer of some sort and I remember it was good(I recently had some surgery and can’t really eat much). Hubby ordered Coq au Vin and he said it was fantastic. I know my Coq au Vin and it sure looked and smelled legit. He also had a glass of nice Riesling and one of the restaurant’s salads, which he enjoyed immensely.(Note: this restaurant has a lovely wine menu). The biggest hit of the night was my other kid’s meal: it was a special of the day, the rainbow trout. At first we were all taken aback by the fact that the fish was served with its head attached. It was practically looking at us! But the fish itself was splayed out, filleted, beautifully plated with accompanying vegetables. My kid said this was the best fist she ever had in her entire life. I tried a small piece. Indeed, it was the best fish I had ever had in MY entire life! It was cooked to perfection, so delicate, and the skin was so thin, like paper, and crispy. It was divine. Truly divine. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The restaurant was well-appointed and welcoming, in a sophisticated way. The view of the Strip is fabulous. I thought that the prices of food was very reasonable. We will definitely return!

The view and atmosphere of the restaurant are amazing. They definitely get an A plus for that. Unfortunately the service was very mediocre. We had to wait a long time to get our meal. Some of the girls at my party ordered the burger for dinner. Although it was good, it was extremely under cooked. They ordered their meat medium well, but they got back a very pink patty, almost like Ahi Tuna. The menu is very limited. There are several appetizer options but not very many main entrees. The server hardly checked on us, I wonder if it was because her gratuity was already included. The food took a while and the restaurant was super empty. One of my favorite dishes was the chicken cooked in red wine, this was delicious! We also tried the Merengue Chocolate which was great. This was a combination of chocolate and marshmallow mousse! The menu changes constantly to the point that not even their website has a current one! Overall, a good place if you are looking for a nice view of the strip.

This French eatery is located in the cosmopolitan hotel. Our lunch was endive and blue cheese salad was world class, the hamburger and the fries were amazing. The atmosphere was so great outside overlooking the Vegas strip. I love coming here this time of year because the weather is perfection! Had to come this year because it’s a Friday and Halloween, my favorite day of the year, so fun to costume it up. The staff was superb, catering to our every need, the Chardonnay was excellent ! «Val de Mer» Petit Chablis Patrick Puize-France. Amaze

Every trip out of California always includes one thing: Foie gras. I had no shame eating this in front of my Vegan friend and she had no shame saying«eewwww» while I was enjoying perfectly seared foie. Delightful. Comme Ca is classy yet relaxed and if you have chance to sit outside on their patio, do it. You’ll be treated to gorgeous views of the Las Vegas strip while sipping on your stiff raspberry Bramble. The inside is very comfortable and early dinners mean quiet environs. Order the juicy burger, the perfectly cooked steak frites and the luscious bone marrow. Clean your palette with their sorbet trio of watermenon, cherry and raspberry. Merci Beaucoup Comme Ca.

Epic views, classy restaurant, and terrific food… I’m happy. There was a party of ten of us that came here for a bachelor party; and everyone was really appreciative that I did my homework on this place. It was actually my friend that was a local for fairly long time that suggested this place but I don’t mind a couple slaps on the back. The plate of lamb appeared small on delivery but definitely filled me up. A couple of the guys went for your basic burger or steak. Apparently, they weren’t too thrill so you may want expand your palette for whatever fancy occasion you are attending this place for or go to In and Out. Anyway, it was definitely a place I recommend for a memorable occasion without feeling suffocated by a snooty atmosphere. And it’s always a plus when Chef Brian brings out shots for the party. Woo!

We’ve been here twice now. Both times we sat at the bar. Service from the bartenders was fantastic both times. Food is great, cocktails great. So why, you ask, do I give it only 3 stars? The prices. The prices are just not realistic. Yes we’ve gone twice, we will probably go again. $ 12 for a Guinness DURINGHAPPYHOUR? That is just insane. We both had signature cocktails during our visits because at $ 9 they were the cheapest things available. Believe me, I do not mind spending money on anything. I’ve bought my share of $ 20 martinis, $ 15 grey goose on the rocks, and $ 20 side salads. But happy hour? Is nothing sacred? You do not call a $ 12 Guinness a «happy hour special». You just don’t. If you do, you lose a star in my humble opinion. So my friends, do I recommend? That is a tough call. Will I go back? Yes probably. Does that make any sense? No.

We had dinner at Comme Ça during this trip in Las Vegas. We hadn’t dined there in over two years. I was looking forward to some of the dishes that I had really enjoyed having at Comme Ça in the past including their bone-in steaks and amazing desserts. I was disappointed to find that the menu had changed since the last time we dined there. I was not concerned about my favorite dishes being on the menu however I was concerned about the limited menu from what it once was. Some of the larger steak dishes were gone. This is fine for most occasions however I was looking forward to the delicious Comme Ça steak that I was accustomed to. The dessert menu has also changed however limited. The overall experience felt«watered down» as if the establishment had made a decision to tone things down a little and remove some frills and concentrate on the core items. Just didn’t work out well for me.

I came here for the seared foie appetizer =). Even though it was off the menu, they still let me order it and it was well worth it. Although, I do feel like I as charged a premium for that. The foie turned out to be $ 25 instead of around the $ 18 – 22 range most of the appetizers were. I also got the salad mixed with duck fat? It was probably not healthy, but it was good. I would come back again for foie. I did feel satisfied and happy afterwards.

I’ve come full circle at Comme Ca. Happy hour(drinks only), happy hour(drinks and food), brunch, and now dinner. My friend and I arrived at Comme Ca with a reservation, which I recommend at any time during the week because at one point I attempted coming here for dinner and there was a private party being held. My plans were ruined. However, everything came to fruition a few nights ago and I dined with a friend at Comme Ca for dinner. Appetizer — Hudson Valley Seared Foie Gras — perfectly seared, amazingly rich, beautifully plated. Comes served between a waffle and butternut squash, accompanied by berries and radishes. Indulgent. Perfect. Main — BOUILLABAISSE of amazingness. Octopus, venus clams, gulf shrimp, and mussels, with a salty, briny, soup, and two crusty pieces of bread spread with garlic butter. I ate every bit. I supped on the soupy goodness. I scraped every morsel of meat out of every shell. The shrimp were on point. The octopus was tender. I am in love with this dish. Two glasses of riesling to wash it all down. Lovely varietal, $ 10 a glass. Comme Ca, yes, yes, yes.

Comme Ça has left me a little heartbroken in the past. It seemed like whenever I’ve been there I’ve had mixed feelings about its customer service and food, or they decide to block my ass from wanting to try their dinner options by shutting the restaurant down for a private event without advanced notification. However, based on my last visit, I think I can begin to look beyond the past. Appetizer — Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras: A nicely seared, tender cut of foie gras sandwiched in between a waffle and a slice of butternut squash, all placed upon huckleberry preserves and garnished with baby radishes. It’s pretty damn exquisite-tasting and better than other foie gras that I’ve eaten at other restaurants on The Strip. Entrée — Herb Crusted Chicken Chasseur with Mashed Potatoes: It was perfectly roasted, not dry at all. Might be too much chicken for one person to eat, so bring your appetite. My one complaint is its saltiness. The side of mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious and don’t resemble and taste like traditional mashed potatoes. Service — Staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Other — Make a reservation in advance, and request to be seated by the windows for a view of The Strip below. Overall — I would love to have dinner here again. Comme Ça offers delicious food, good service, and wonderful ambiance.

3.5 stars, because it was only a tad bit better than okay. Came here for a late dinner and luckily made it to their Nightly Social Hour, which runs from 5pm — 10pm. We sat at the tables near the bar and ordered from the HH menu — salmon tartare toast, bone marrow and oxtail jam, oysters on the half shell, and from the regular dinner menu — the beef short rib. The salmon tartare toast was a total miss. There were only two small pieces of bread and the salmon tartare was a bit too fishy. I normally love salmon, but I think a tuna tartare would have gone much better for this dish. I would definitely skip this and get the beef tartare or the blue crab toast. The bone marrow and oxtail jam was really fatty and good. The flavors were great, but just remember that this is a very heavy dish. We had to leave a bite or two. The oysters were great. We got a half dozen, which was the perfect amount with everything we ordered. The biggest disappointment was the beef short rib. Our piece had way too much fat on it. It was already a smaller chunk of meat, but half of it was fat. Short rib isn’t supposed to have THAT much fat on it. I asked the waitress if that was normal, and she just said«Yes» and walked away. No offer to replace the dish, no apologies, no explanation. For a $ 34 dollar plate, I would expect a better piece of meat/service. But on the up side, the cocktails were excellent — stiff and delicious. I believe all cocktails are HH prices during the Social Hour!

This is my third Vegas trip in a row visiting Comme Ca. It’s pretty much become one of my default stops in Vegas that I simply just can’t avoid and it’s really hard for me to resist coming here for lunch. My last two visits simply just had me order their famous Duck Confit Cinnamon Roll and call it a day. Well, that didn’t stop here with this visit. But unlike those two visits before, I came with a bigger appetite and I ordered the their Oxtail Eggs Benedict as my main entrée. Duck Confit Cinnamon Roll with Pork Belly — w/smoked bacon frosting, raspberry compote This is one of those dishes that seem to get better every time I have it, even for the third time. Like before, it’s really hard to explain in words how amazing this thing is. Sweetness from the cinnamon roll and raspberries, savory duck confit inside, and smokey flavor of the pork belly. Oh, and there’s Bacon Frosting too! It’s really not fair that I have to fly to another state to have this. A must order every time! Oxtail Eggs Benedict — w/warm gougères, spinach, two poached eggs, truffle hollandaise Are you kidding me? This is definitely a great savory contrast to the sweetness of Duck Confit Cinnamon Roll. There’s a lot going on with this Eggs Benedict because of the braised oxtail and the truffle hollandaise. It’s oozing with flavor and has a lot of substance. This is food porn at its finest. One of the best Eggs Benedicts I’ve ever had! I can’t help but give high praise for their lunch which is only available Friday through Sunday. There are plenty of other things to try like their Comme Ca Burger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Red Velvet Bacon Waffles. Someday, I’ll be back to try their dinner. I probably don’t need to, because I would most likely end up going back for lunch anyways and I’m perfectly fine with that.

Comme Ca translates as not poorly or not bad … and that’s exactly what Comme Ca restaurant at The Cosmopolitan is … not too bad. The restaurant was empty and bar quiet when we popped in for some Happy Hour drinks and appetizers. Service was quick cause, seriously, there wasn’t many other patrons. Select cocktails are $ 7.50 during Happy Hour. I tried two. The Penicillin Cocktail with Scotch, Ginger, Lemon Juice, Honey, and an Islet Float was sweet and smooth. It could of used another ½ ounce of whiskey, but was fine. The lone vodka HH option is a cocktail called Fair Trade with Lemon and Simple Syrup. It was fair. For nibbles, Olivia Z. and me split an order of the Grilled Beef Tongue($ 6). The side of Lemon Aioli and sprinkles of Sea Salt really meshed well with the tender slices of tongue. We both liked it a lot even though the slices were a tad too thick. Oysters on the Half Shell are $ 2 each during Happy Hour. We got six with two different kinds. I forget the names, but one Pacific Ocean and the other was Atlantic. The Pacific were smaller, but better. When it comes to Comme Ca for Happy Hour, it is kind of comme si comme ca.

Aww… Another great dinner date at my favorite restaurant in Vegas! Everything was perfect, it started with a bit of scare, and turned into a romantic evening with great food, drinks and service! I specifically asked that table on terrace next to private dining area, they even called me to confirm, but a large party from the convention at the cosmopolitan threw a private diner party there the last minute, they rented the entire area! :(just my luck… The restaurant called to let me know that they would try to get us a window table with nice views, ok… What else they could do? Got there a bit late, host girl told us we could wait 2 minutes for a window table, sure… we waited at the bar for exactly 2 minutes or less, didn’t even get the cocktails we ordered yet, host girl took us to a corner table next to the windows, I could see PH and strip! It was beautiful! After about 15 minutes, all the dining people around us finished dinner, it was quiet and romantic again! How sweet! Loved it! Our cocktails were as tasty as usual, ordered fresh oysters and pickled jar to start, seriously they have the freshest and sweetest oysters I have ever had! We order oysters everywhere, this place is no doubt #1 on my list! The pickled jar was so good, sour and salty, I didn’t finish it intentionally, had it boxed for my late night snack after excessive drinking, I knew I would need it.; p The specials written on a board were salad, steak and beef choices, I didn’t want and couldn’t have anything, so I just ordered a couple small plates, no entrees either, I guess my appetite wasn’t that good the entire trip, don’t know why… That’s never happened to me… Chilled half lobster: OhMy. Loved it, so tender, I didn’t want the cream sauce came with it, asked for horseradish, it was amazing, the lobster meat was so fresh! Sautéed spinach: they didn’t have that on the menu, they managed to find some spinach in the kitchen, and made that side just for me, how sweet! Loved it, light, fresh with enough flavors. Creamless corn: unique flavor, very light but still tasty! Special of the day beef: it looked like marinated beef stew in French version to me, it was tender, just hubby didn’t like the flavor, he said it tasted a bit weird. I guess he still prefers steak no mater what?! Salmon tartare: liked how tiny they were, looked so cute, it was good but not great, still delicious though. Had a Grey Goose martini as usual, and a French champagne to finish the meal, it was PERRIER-JOUËT I believe, $ 27, it was perfect! What a meal, the views were definitely beautiful, that dining table was a very nice spot for a romantic and quiet dinner date, now I know two perfect spots to dine in that restaurant! Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, provided over the top service! I guess we will just have to come here every time we are in Vegas, and they have the best chilled shellfish! I will have to get a platter next time!

My girls and I came here to celebrate Caroline T.‘s birthday a few weeks ago. As Caroline mentions in her review, we were looking for foie and the hostess/chef accommodated us for $ 26 a pop. The seared foie itself was tasty and came with underwhelming bread pudding and some fruity jam. I went with two appetizers for my meal: BEEFTARTARE — I loved that this came with a runny yoke and the portion size was good, but it was awfully bland. FRENCHONIONSOUP — This was quite tasty, but hard to stomach after a dozen spoonfuls or so. I didn’t even get through half of it. Share this, people! It’s also a little awkward to eat with the melted stringy cheese and all. Might want to save this for after the first few dates… I got to taste a few of my friends’ choices: BONEMARROW — Excellent, I just wish there was more of it! POMMESALIGOT — This was probably the dish that I enjoyed most. Imagine cheesy goodness enveloped in mashed potatoes. I know what you’re thinking — it must be heaven… It is, it is! We had a good experience, but I felt it was overpriced for such simple dishes. I was not very impressed with the food.
