Such rude service oh my gosh! I work at a cupcake shop myself and am a baker and decorator and the service here was just unacceptable. Young girl with blonde died hair treated us with disrespect simply because we were unsure on what we wanted. ITWASOURFIRSTTIMETHERE! Smh. Never going back, the cupcake was not worth it.

The girl behind the counter was super sweet and she helped me pick out a cute little German chocolate cake to take back to my room and enjoy with my bottle of champagne I brought. I’m not a big fan of German chocolate cake but this one was excellent, I highly recommend this cake. Perfect treat to eat back in your room.

Banana Bread… Is terrible. Nothing banana about it. Not surw what kind of bread it is. Pretty sad, really. I had such high hopes. My first disappointment at the MGM Grand.

A pastry shop in the lobby of MGM. I had some hotel credit to use so I opted for my weakness of macarons. I got a tube which had 7 of the delicious desserts. They were moist and chewy with the perfect macaron consistency. The sad part. I would pass these up if I didn’t have the hotel credit because $ 16.xx is on the steep side.

This place was pricey. By pricey, I mean I spent around $ 7 on 2 donuts. That’s a little outrageous to me, but when you take into consideration the fact that: 1. You’re in Vegas 2. You’re presumably on vacation 3. THEDONUTSAREALSOOUTRAGEOUS, then it makes sense. I had the strawberry shortcake and it contained enough sugar and melty goodness to hold me over for a couple of weeks. Seriously. So sweet, but so indulgent and delicious. No regrets.

The cupcakes are really cute and very enticing so I purchased the a Turtle cupcake. That and a box of 2 macaroons was a little under $ 11! How expensive! I know it’s Vegas but it’s literally double the price of what you would expect. The cupcake was bleh. It was really sweet and totally not worth $ 5. The cupcake was small too. The frosting was hard, initially, because it was sitting in their refrigerated case so I had to wait until the next morning for the cupcake to soften. I wouldn’t buy again.

It was small with no seating but otherwise there was a good amount of pastries. For myself I chose a cheese Danish and banana bread. The banana bread was great, nice and moist! The cheese Danish was okay. My friend got this Black Forest cake and it was just too sweet. Overall the place is fine if your passing by and want a quick sweet treat but not a place to travel to if you wanna sit and talk.

AVOIDATALLCOSTS… I understand, you’re hungry, it’s early or late. $ 10 for a croissant and coffee is ridiculous, stay away from anything inside the MGM, rip off! Especially the mini variety stores, shame.

Delicious, fresh, pretty presentation, high quality ingredients at a reasonable(Vegas) price(for the value). The packaging is right up my let too as pink is my absolute favorite color EVER! I’ll have Corner Cakes again someday.

On paper, this place is the perfect place to satisfy my mid-work day sugar craving. It’s small, close by and very pretty to look at. Alas, it just does not deliver. I’ve tried this place a few times. The first time I went I got a cronut which is a croissant/donut hybrid. It was delicious. This experience prompted me to try this place again and again, but since that day, I haven’t seen another cronut in the case. I guess it went the way of the dodo bird and New Coke. The second time I went, I got a red velvet donut because it just looked so damn delicious. It was grossly lacking. Looks are deceiving because it looks like a donut that is filled in the middle with some delicious surprise but it’s not. Its a cake ring donut that was dry, stale and UNsurprising. It’s topped with what looked like a tasty blob of cream cheese frosting, but upon biting into it, I discovered this was a gelatinous mass of something that was trying to taste like cream cheese frosting. The consistency was like a stale flan. The whole dry glob just came off of the donut. Maybe this is what the donuts are like in prison? Extremely disappointing. I think it’s important to mention that they make their donuts in the morning and serve them ALLDAY without making fresh ones.(I asked) The third time I went, I got an oversized sugar cookie with m&m pieces in it. Sounds good in theory, right? It was aight. Tasted good but it was a little too crumbly for my taste. I like soft gooey cookies and this was not. The next time I went, I decided to try the boston crème cupcake. Not only did it let me down, it let down the whole city from which it’s named. The cupcake was top heavy with an extremely thick hard fudge while the cupcake itself was dry and crumbly so the whole thing ended up falling apart while I tried to eat it. I believe the frosting and cake parts of a cupcake should be in living in harmony, not plotting against each other. I shouldn’t have to eat the parts separately. Good God, this is America. Bottom line, if I’m going to consume a Mama June amount of calories, I want it to be worth it. Corner Cakes is definitely not worth it. Unless you spot a cronut.

Conveniently located by the entrance of MGM’s grand hotel rooms, everyone can’t help but pick up a cupcake before going up to their rooms. This happened to me and my friend this past weekend are we were totally ok with it. They have cupcakes, cheesecake, regular cakes, breakfast pastries, and cookies. I got two cupcakes– boston cream and chocolate. Both had fillings in the cupcake which were both very dry and hard on the inside. The frosting was the same way. I think maybe they’ve refrigerated the cupcakes for too long in a fridge that was too cold to keep cupcakes at the perfect temperature. I also got to try the strawberry cheesecake which was AMAZING! I highly recommend this one. The price is expensive, about $ 4/$ 5 a cupcake… but it IS Vegas! I recommend this place for a quick snack or dessert while in MGM to take up to your room, but it’s definitely not the best place for cupcakes compared to some great ones I know of back home.

Yummy donuts! Their slated caramel donut was amazing! I got to try 4 different mini cakes they had which are: cheesecake, carrot cake, pineapple cake and red velvet. Red velvet was a bit too sweet for us but rest of the cakes were all amazingly good.

Small pastry counter by the elevators just of the casino floor of the MGM. Staff have cute uniforms with aprons and hats. Signage advertises their coffee, pastry case contains typical French-influenced breakfast baked goods and a separate case of cupcakes. All have good presentation. Opted for a coffee and a treat. Coffee was very basic, brewed and waiting hot. Not something I’m willing to shell out the same price as Starbucks for– and there’s literally one in the lobby. Despite signage about their cronut, they didn’t have any in stock either of the two days I popped by. Cupcake was dry and had a distinct taste of refrigerator instead of freshness.

Pretty pastry shops are deceiving. The desserts look great in the display case but for the amount you pay I’d say skip it and save your money for buffet instead. A case of 6 mini macaroons costs $ 15 and if you go to Wicked Spoon at Cosmo or Bacchnal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace you can get unlimited full size macaroons. If you’re staying at MGM it’s conveniently located right next to the elevators as you exit, but I’d rather go to Starbucks and get a morning pastry then go to a buffet later. I tried the almond croissant and it was good but nothing special. The coffee was decent too. I also ordered a boston cream pie cupcake but ended up giving it away to the taxi driver. Just because it’s wrapped in pretty packaging doesn’t mean it’s amazing.

I was meeting my fiancé who had already been in Vegas for work. He was staying at the MGM which I was thankful for cause it’s really not a bad hotel, but that’s for another review. As I entered our room, on the desk was a cutely packaged cupcake. It was a salted caramel with the mgm logo drawn on a piece of chocolate. I excitedly opened the package and dug my fork from top to bottom. Then I ate each layer separately. The frosting was super sweet. If you had closed your eyes and tried it, you wouldn’t be able to distinguish the caramel at all. It was just sugar. It was filled with actual caramel though. The cake itself was not too sweet but it was sadly super dry. Overall, his gesture was super sweet and I thanked him in every way possible but I was left unimpressed.

Located right next to the elevator bank to the Grand tower in MGM to entice and suck you in as you stumble back to your room after a drunken night of gambling and debauchery. They only close for one hour around 4am to clean and restock so make sure to not be «that guy»” who is leaning his face against the glass sobbing in sugar hunger at 4:05am. Open 23 hours a day to satisfy that sweets craving in the middle of the night and all throughout the day. Have a cupcake for breakfast if you want. Grab one on the way to the slots. They have a mixed selection. The Salted Caramel cupcake was solid but at $ 5 a pop and a bit small I’ll just do this once. In fact to me all their cupcakes are on the small side for the cost. They do look terrific though, and worth a shot at least once. They also offer some other pastry treats, mini cakes, and even cronuts that cost $ 5. No, I did not eat a cronut. I still refuse to be sucked into that!
