I am not really a fan of what I consider«TV Salons». Really, anything that requires television advertisements makes me think twice. However, I recently moved to the area and thought about getting a haircut just as I pulled into the Target plaza. I glanced over and saw the place, but checked the reviews first to avoid making a big mistake. They didn’t really help much, so I called in and got Cathy. NOTE: I have weird hair. Everyone compliments me on it, but no one really understands how weird it is. It has a lot of volume when curly, which is my natural style, but is very thin and fine when I straighten it during the cooler months. This mean I need layers(which can be hard to cut with curly hair for the less skilled) and I need length. I asked Cathy who was the best with curly hair and layers(trick question) and she said she was good with both. I figured I would give her a chance, but asked for a ‘consultation’ first, to which she agreed. So, I drove over to the shop and parked right out front(it’s set up in a strip mall). I waited for her to return from Sally’s(next door) which wasn’t long at all, and we headed back to the chair. I explained my hair situation to her and she started checking it out. I could tell by her recommendations that she knew what she was doing. After a quick wash, she spent somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes on the cut. She trimmed away my ½ inch split ends and corrected the layers I created myself(last month, out of desperation). When I got up, I could tell she hadn’t actually done much cutting, mostly trimming and correcting, which made me happy since I am growing it out. I would recommend you call and set up an appointment with Cathy. She’s been in the business for 3 decades and she understands what you need. She just gets hair. She was definitely the funniest hairstylist I’d ever had the pleasure of sitting with. NOTE: Why 4 stars instead of 5? The location isn’t the best and the shop itself felt kind of old and dingy.

Margaret has been professional & friendly since she became my hair stylist. I’ve trusted her expertise for so long that I can’t remember when we first met. I’m grateful to have found her, she’s been the only person who understands how to manage my curly, thick hair and create a style that compliments it’s particular features. I trust her enough to recommend her to my extended family and boyfriend. They too have become happy customers.

I’ve NEVER had a bad experience with any stylist at this location; had service for myself/mother in law and nephew many many times. I specifically have Margaret doing my hair. Everyone is friendly and entertaining! I recommend this salon for people wanting a better price for hair services. I recently had services done for my foreign in laws the day of my wedding, everyone was very pleased!

Absolutely. Terrible. Just got my cut done so I can go turn in job apps tomorrow. Should have went to a barber! Got in quick, very friendly staff. But the dude who cut my hair(Mike) was horrific. So slow. Cut it all around than went back to finish cause it was uneven, and it is STILL uneven which drives me crazy. I asked for a one and a half and it’s the longest one and a half I’ve ever seen, more like a two. I asked to taper down the back and he just lined it up, and did not line up around my ears. I have to go spend more money tomorrow morning before I head out to get this re done and I have to get it a shorter size now. So angry. Don’t go here for your own good.

Don’t go !! Terrible service and cutting skills! I told the lady one side of my hair was longer then the other. She’s says honey everyone has that problem?!? As soon as I left people kept asking if one side is supposed to be longer?!? They make you wait while they take their time. Don’t even greet or say thanks after I gave them a tip. I would never go back.
