Ben is a character. and I mean that in a good way. Obviously passionate about what he does… and the quality of the food and customer service shows.
This is Mexican food that you want to eat ALL of… the beans and rice. the sauces are just as good as everything else.

If you get past the fact your eating Mexican food out of a gas station and make it past the disco liquor counter, your in for a real treat!
Service was great, food prep area looked clean, food was fresh, and exceed the standard of good fast food Mexican!

The first time I came to Jefe’s, I had three mini pastor tacos. The tacos were loaded with meat, and it was cooked with a perfect crisp. The second time I came to Jefe’s, I tried the Jefe’s burrito. It might be one of my favorite burritos of all time. The variety and quality of the ingredients combine to make a great flavor. I also had a carne asada torta, which did not disappoint.
I’ve been to Jefe’s over 3 times now, and Ben has provided us with amazing customer service each time. He’s a great guy with a real dedication to the satisfaction of his customers. You even get a free meal on your birthday week, no strings attached!
If you told me I’d be getting the best Mexican food in the area from a place in a gas station, I wouldn’t believe you. But you should come, try, and believe. This place is my go-​to mexican food spot.

The portions are amazing here at Jefes and they just actually care when cooking for you. The owner is super awesome as well and makes himself present because he’s wants things done correct.

Well, I get the honor of writing the 100^th 5 star review. This place is the best taco place I’ve found in Las Vegas. It’s not anywhere you’d expect it to be, but that thrills me as its only a five minute drive from my house. The owner Benny is extraordinarily kind and friendly. The Carne Asada burrito was huge, delicious, with filled with very high quality meat (unlike other taco joints). There are only two tables, and while they were available, I opted to take my meal to go. The prices were very affordable, and you can tell how much Benny cares about his business, his employees and his customer’s happiness. Trust me, go eat Jefe’s Taco Shop. As for me, I’ll be back tomorrow!!! I can’t wait to try more of the menu!!!

Best taco shop. The food is delicious, and fresh. I had a craving for some tacos Asada and sent my husband to get them for me. The meat was great quality, not like Robertos who have more fat than meat in their tacos.
So if you are looking for real Mexican food this is the place.

This is going to have to be my favorite Mexican restaurant on this side of town. Take out might be your best option since seating is a little limited. Otherwise, good food, very nice people.

What can I say. On my life long pursuit for tacos I ran across another jem stashed inside of a shady gas station.
But I’ll tell you this don’t pass this one up. These tacos are delicious and the red sauce is amazing the green sauce is good to actually has some kick not that watered down Robertos stuff. I got 3 Carne adana street tacos with beans and rice for a reasonable $ 8 even.
Man these tacos!!! Stuffed with meat that’s seasoned well topped with your typical onions and cilantro tip that off with some of their super spicy red sauce and you can’t lose.
Cool thing jefes offers a rewards program for every $ 10 you spend you get a $ 1 back. Also you get a free meal on your birthday. The customer service in this place is freaking awesome. Blanca was nothing but helpful and polite. I’ll definitely be stopping in next time I’m in the area. Ohh how I wish jefes was on my side of town.
On a random note had lunch with an older gentlemen named Craig. This spot made my day thanks to Blanca and random guy Craig and amazing tacos!!!

Excellent and very authentic! My husband and I were in the area visiting from Utah and needed a quick bite to eat. We saw the amazing reviews on here as well as Google and decided to give it a try. Man were we so happy that we did! The food was fantastic as well as the customer service! We recently moved from the state of Texas and this beat every single one of the taco shops/​Mexican places we tried for the past 3 years we were there! Very nice people. The lady at the counter was very accommodating to my dietary needs. We ordered burritos and couldn’t believe how huge they were! They use 16″ tortillas and certainly did not cheat ya on filling it up. It was a good thing neither one of us really ate anything earlier that day. Definitely will be a stop for us again. We absolutely loved it and the quality of food as well as the service.

Hands down, best taco shop around! The food and service are better than we expected, great taste and quality. The owner is striving to make every customer beyond satisfied and is communicating with each to gain valuable feedback, making it hard to beat.
Try it, you won’t go to another Mexican fast food place.

Told the lady, Blanca, it was my first time eating there, wonderful woman.
Took my name and put me into their rewards program.
Asked me how I heard of them, I drive by it every day.
She didn’t even make fun of my guerroness while ordering.
⁵⁄₅ will go again, probably tomorrow for another breakfast burrito.
Today I chose the machaca breakfast burrito.
Good flavor on the shred and properly sized chop on the vegetables.
Ingredients are proportioned well, seasonings are proper.
Salsa rojo is on point.
A little bit spicier than most places, but that’s a good thing.
Seriously, if you’ve ever enjoyed a proper burrito from a taco shop in SoCal, this will take you back.
Side note: michelada cups are available in the gas station just on the other side of the café tables.
Rarely am I impressed with a burrito, but damn, Jefe’s does it.

Jefe’s is very delicious with very good quality ingredients. It’s a little bit pricy for Mexican food, but you do get what you pay for! The ingredients are always fresh, portions are big, and food is yummy!
I have talked to the owner and I think the manager, Manny. They are very down to earth and customer oriented. They push customer service and it’s very clear! Everyone I have come in contact with is very pleasant and friendly.
I have been here numerous times and I will definitely be back!

I’m ruined, I am absolutely RUINED because now and forever I will judge all other Mexican food places by Jefes. The five star ratings are true and just, the food was amazing and fresh and just so damn tasty!
I ordered a Jefes Burrito which comes with Carne Asada, pollo, and shrimp. My God the shrimp! Delicious, plump, perfectly cooked morsels of seafood goodness next to perfectly seasoned and seared meat and chicken. The meat was juicy and flavorful, not dry, and each bite contained the perfect ratio of meat, guacamole, and sour cream.
I tried both their green salsa and red salsa and WOW! The green salsa had that nice little kick on you tongue, while the red was a smoky sucker punch that hit you hard after the fact. Be careful because the red sneaks up on you (get those napkins ready!)
Being from California, I know my Mexican food and Jefes is the real deal. I can’t praise this place enough, with the outstanding food and quick courteous service, this is a winner in my book.

We just moved to Vegas and happened to stumble upon this place and are thrilled beyond words. We’re home sick (moved from LA) this place has the same taste and style of street tacos back home. Really nice service, quick to prep the food and the portions and price and just right. Will be coming here again soon!

OK. I wanted to make sure I tried several of the menu items before giving a review. This place has 5 stars so there is some pressure to make sure that the review is accurate. I don’t want to do something knee jerk and ruin their rating. I’ve been here 4 times now. Each time I have gone with different family members or friends. I’ve got to say that everything I’ve had here has been excellent. Everybody else I’ve taken has really enjoyed the food as well. We’ve tried probably 80% of the menu and everything is extremely good. Customer service is excellent. They have special Systems set up to remember your past orders. That’s really nice. The owner/​manager Ben also remembers your name. Also a very nice touch.
The only downsides are 1) it is in a gas station tucked away behind Ann road 2) seating is very limited, and 3) since they are getting more popular and busy sometimes you have to wait a while to get the food.
But now that I think about it the down sides are just more excuse for it being unique and eclectic. Kind of like Tommy’s burgers in LA. In short they deserve the 5 stars that they have so far. Take the trip, try to find them and enjoy a great Mexican meal.

I thought there were no decent taco places in the nw & the chain one just don’t cut it for me but I found this place here on Unilocal,& the reviews sold me, I wish I would’ve known about it sooner
