My 10 year old has horrible ingrown toe nails. The shot to numb the toe for the proceedure to remove the ingrown nail is extremely, EXTREMELYPAINFUL. I know from personal experience! Also my husband and another son have had to have this proceedure and we all warned this son that the shot was very painful. Of course that is something you can’t really understand til you are the one with the needle in your toe. My complaint about this podiatrist is that his bedside manner and demeanor with my obviously terrified son(who got through the first half of the numbing process) was horrible. He laughed at him and was totally smug and indifferent about the obvious and intense distress my son was in. The only other time we have been to his office was for another son’s wart treatment and this doctor didn’t even know about the medication that another podiatrist from when we lived in Arizona has prescribed for our oldest son for wart treatment that worked amazingly well. I had to call the AZ office and have them look up in the chart what the medication was. This podiatrist was totally unaware of the medication as a wart treatment. We did get a prescription from him for it and it again worked beautifully. You may ask why I went back, and all I can say is good question. But never NEVER again.
