Las Vegas Lock and Key

Let me begin by sayings, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND USE SOMEONE ELSE. We had the worst experience I’ve ever witnessed. Some rude guy named Jacob took complete advantage of my fiancée and I, and then had the nerve to threaten us. My fiancée called him to get a quote after our Valet broke our key into our car. He made her drive all the way to Summerlin or charge us a $ 50 service fee.
Since the dealer was closed on Sunday, my fiancée drove there to see if he could even put a chip in the key and save us some money. She told Jacob not to cut the key because she was getting refunded by MGM and would call him back in the morning. Well he cut the key anyways and then sent the below text message without even calling her.
He threatened to call the constable on her to collect his money even when we said not to cut the key until the morning. When I called Jacob about his rude and mean text message, he said he didn’t threaten her at all and continued to say how professional he was.
Long story short, he forced us to pay for something that we were not happy with. Findlay Toyota even told us he did a horrible job and really needed the car there to cut the key properly.
I ended up taking the key he made us to the dealer and Findlay told me that he cut the key incorrectly and that it would end up breaking the new cylinder that I’m paying for. I now have to get a new key cut again from the dealership and Jacob is telling me that he will not refund our money.
Even more, he just threatened me again that he was going to take us to court.
DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR ANYTHING! The dealership just quoted me a new key and ignition switch for $ 295 when Jacob ripped us off for a bogus key for $ 250.
MGM was our witness as well and they are also filing a complaint against Jacob and Las Vegas Lock and Key. I called him to give him a chance to make this right and said he’s going to take me to court. I’m scratching my hand how this guy owns his own company.
I’ve never experienced anything like this before in my life.

Just what I like from a company, I wanted to get my locks changed, I called these guys up first to get a price quote and told me you won’t get a better price from any other company, so I called other places and they were the cheapest. They came to my place and changed the locks really quick. They are easy to get along with too! They provided excellent, fast, and pretty cheap service! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

AWFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL, RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
My grandmother called this company to come out and change the handle/​deadbolt on one of her units front doors. She was charged $ 185 for the deadbolt and $ 185 for the handle. (Set can be bought for about $ 20). She was then charged an additional $ 50 for the 2 keys THAT COME WITH THE LOCK!!! Clearly this is a company that takes advantage of people. DO NOT USE THEM!

The reason I gave them more than one star is they did come fast, and did a pretty decent job. However, the really add on a bunch of fees after quoting prices. I wanted a dead bolt installed. They charged $ 139.00 for the fresh hole. They said that included everything except the $ 89.00 dead bolt. Once he was done, they also charged a $ 15.00 trip charge, and then an additional $ 35.00 lock installation charge. When I questioned the guy he did take $ 35.00 off but $ 255.00 was a pretty steep price to install a dead bolt. If price doesn’t matter then you’ll be happy with the job. My only complaint was the pricing. I feel that I paid about $ 60-​$ 70 more then I should have.

I must sincerely recommend these guys. My daughter had purchased a VW Beetle that only had one key. The VW dealer wanted close to $ 300 for a second key. So instead, I purchased a blank key fob from e-​bay for $ 15 and called these guys to cut and program the new key. I found them to be friendly, highly skilled and professional. They didn’t try and rip me off and they demonstrated a great degree of integrity! I wound up paying less than ½ of what VW wanted and it works perfectly!

These people are so professional! I defiantly recommend to everyone. I got locked out of my car at work so I called them and they were so nice over the phone, the prices are great and they came over so fast and the best part is they opened up my car so quickly. You guys should defiantly call these people trust me!

This company is AWFUL. They were rude and unprofessional. They quoted me a fair price over the phone, but when they got to my house all I got was attitude and someone trying to sell me their locks. Then they only re-​keyed one lock. I paid $ 50 for them to re-​key one lock. Not worth a single dime I paid them. Save your self the headache and pay a little extra for someone who can actually help you!!! BEWARE.
