The Las Vegas Shakespeare Company has just taken over the Reed Whipple Cultural Center and is increasing the size of the main theatre from 275 to 400 seats. The Center has been re-painted and renovations are underway. Tonight I attended a performance of Rhythm of the Dance performed by the National Dance Company of Ireland. Before the show, the artistic director noted that the facility would be a year round place for theatre – plays, dance, music, and other performing arts. I am not a fan of Shakespeare, but if the company produces entertainment such as this in addition to their Shakespearean offers, I’ll be very happy and I might even attend a Shakespeare production to give it one more go. I am so glad that the Reed Whipple Center has reopened. What an auspicious start at the Center for the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company. Remember, SUPPORTTHEARTS!
