Michael Mina Pub 1842

The only reason that I did not give this five stars was because of the ambience and seating — Yes I know it’s a pub but could have been configured in a more appealing comfortable way. But to the good part… I was in the mood for steak… Not fine dining $$$$ but a decent piece of meat. I was glad to see the 100z flatiron served with spicy fries. I was expecting a flat but tender piece of meat. OMG not flat — about a half inch cooked to perfection — seasoned to perfection — melt in my mouth steak! I did not care for the dipping sauce, but the steak did not need any kind of sauce. Fries were good nice and thin and crispy but very spicy.
Service was great, our waiter was local (we are too) and a certified beer server. He was very knowledgeable about beers and made great suggestions with great descriptions of the taste. He was also quite willing to provide a taste of several beers before settling on a selection. He was enthusiastic about both the great food and the great cold beers, a very good ambassador for Michael Mina’s meats!
We were very pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to both recommend this place and to return in the future.

Service here is really weird, but the food is fantastic. The NFL playoffs were on, so they told a lot of people that they couldn’t seat them, except, when they seated our party of 8, there were empty tables everywhere. Even the bar had seating. Wasn’t quite sure what they were doing, but plates are massive here. BLT’s have two layers for the sandwich with loads of meat and cheese. Fries are abundant and cheap, and if you get their signature nacho plate, you get a ridiculous heaping stack of chips, beans, cheese, and peppers. It’s enough to make you think you’ve fallen into nacho heaven, and it’s not overly pricey for a Michael Mina place… inside the MGM. Food comes out pretty quickly, and waitstaff is pretty nice once you get in. Great place to watch a game, drink a brew, and eat some pub grub.

Wandering along inside MGM and since Losers no longer serves food, we found ourselves here at Pub 1842.
The 1842 burger was excellent! Cooked medium rare just how I like it. The aioli was delicious in tandem with the caramelized onions and grilled mushrooms. The pub fixe deal pretty reasonable at $ 21 for your choice of burger, beverage, and a cookie. The fries with barbecue seasoning were also addicting and I nearly polished them all off, and would have had we not had a buffet brunch that morning. Yes, Vegas is for eating!
Both our servers were very pleasant for our bachelorette party of six ladies and they were kind enough to split the check with no hassle made.

Awesome. Split a California greens salad and steak frites with the missus. Delicious. Great Moscow mules as well!

Nice place — we sat down in about ten minutes, had a great server (Lindsey), and had great food. I had the Pub Fixe: a ½-​pound burger with salad, Bud Light and a cookie, all for $ 21. A championship football game was occurring, and in true bar fashion, all 5,000 flat-​screens were tuned in and everyone was into it. Despite the busyness and the crowds, I was very pleased with the service and meal. Will definitely be back!

Came for drinks and pre gaming… very small happy hour menu but that can be expected given the hotel it’s attached too… decent beer selection tho and the bartenders are great about letting you sample the different selections. I didn’t get any food but the aroma surrounding the room was almost enough to make me open up my appetite but I found the inner hulk strength to resist. My most surprising moment would have to be the number of tvs in the place… would not be a bad place to kick back before another event

Ate here on ½/​2016 for a late night dinner, had been wanting to give this place a try for awhile so was excited to finally give it a go. We were lucky enough to get a table as we arrived about five minutes before they closed, so thanks to the awesome staff for letting us in, as we hadn’t eaten since earlier in the day and we were starving.
I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and chose The Double Smoked Bacon Burger.
Shrimp & Grits — never had Grits before so was curious and weary at the same time. So glad I ordered this because it was amazing. Grits were creamy and cheesy, andouille sausage was very flavorful. Only con was one of my shrimp was beyond charred on one side and actually burnt. I like charred but not burnt, I didn’t notice it until after I bit into it but other than that it was very yummy.
The Double Smoked Bacon — was awesome, Hubby loved it and let me take a bite too. Had great flavor, meat was nice and juicy and cooked perfectly. Secret sauce was oh so good and who doesn’t like extra bacon on their burger? Hubby’s only con for it was they garnish it with a pickle and pepperocini on top with a pick. He absolutely despises pickles and since they actually stuck it in with a pick the flavor of it soaked in so he cut that part of the bun off. Fries were really good though, they season them with their BBQ rub which is super yummy.
Fried Pickles — My step mom ordered these for an appetizer and while I love pickles, I didn’t care for these at all. The batter tasted fishy so it was a no go for me.
St. Louis Ribs — My step mom ordered these and I tried one, they were very good with just enough pull on them. They were so well flavored I didn’t even need to try the BBQ sauce they came with.
Heritage Turkey — My dad had this burger, I didn’t try it but he enjoyed it.
Overall we had a great experience and I would of given it five stars but took one away for the few cons we ran into and also because the booth seats, while very comfortable, were horrible to try and slide in and out of, basically you can’t slide at all LOL.

New Year’s Eve dinner on the fly– no wait at 8 pm made it a very attractive option in a sea of pre-​fix menus and required reservations.
Sat at the bar and ordered nachos (delicious), calimari (standard, but chipotle marinara was to die for) and peanut butter crunch burger– I hate peanut butter, but snuck a taste of the patty from my party’s plate and it was amazing!
It’s not cheap, but you get a ton of food and this fed 4 people.
Beer selection on tap was pretty good, but I do sort of question maintenance of the line. I ordered a Belgian brew with complex name, it was supposed to be witbier, but can honestly say it tasted like bud light, and looked like it. Argh.
Aside from that hiccup– service is awesome, food– delicious, highest marks!

Loved it! Service was great and fast even though they had a full house. The double smoked bacon burger is delicious and La Mula is the right amount of spicy. Came here by chance and will come again on purpose.

Makes it a good stop on the way to your show at MGM to get your buzz and dinner. I got a Manhattan and my wife got an Old Fashion and we shared a Mac’n Cheese. Fast, friendly service, lots of seating at the bar, good quick food and drinks.

Sausage and Egg sandwich was awesome. The egg with bites of sausage on a perfect Texas toast was great! I was apprehensive about adding on the harissa sauce which the waiter said was like a Mediterranean aoli sauce but i must say the sauce added an extra pizazz to the sandwich which made it a delightful taste and why I gave it a 5 star. Would definitely recommend you try it.

My girl friend and I were passing through and stopped in for a quick drink while waiting for our hubbies to get out of work.
She had been craving a sangria but it wasn’t on the menu. She asked the bartender if he would make her one, and he said he would make one for her. She was ecstatic. After he made it, he even asked her to try it first. We both agreed it was delicious.
I ordered a mule which was also quite tasty.
Very nice experience, even for a quick minute.

Yum!!! This place is sooooo good. Fried pickels. amazing! The 1842 burger was great!!! Even the fries were yummy. Service was kinda dry, but everything else was perfection!

Delicious burgers, great beer, and the perfect place to watch a game… what more could you want?

We have ordered the following: Nachos, double bacon burger, bramble blitz, lobster grilled cheese sandwich, California greens salad.
The nachos were loaded and full of toppings. Totally not your normal nachos.
My absolute favorite is the double bacon burger. It is a bit pricy but they cooked it perfectly. The bun tasted fresh and I loved the cheese on it. They also load the basket with fries.
The lobster grilled cheese was full of lobster. More so than I expected. I thought it would only be one tiny bite. Taste wise, it was a little bland.
The bramble blitz is a cocktail. I’m not sure if they always have it but it’s delicious and they put real fruit in it.
The salad was not good, especially without a protein. But don’t worry, there’s plenty other stuff to eat that is tasteful.
In summary, if you come, get the nachos and the burger. The nachos are enough as a meal for two. My husband and I came here at least three times in one trip.

So after a long day of walking around in Vegas all I wanted was a good burger. We walked around the MGM a few times and finally decided that this was where we were going to eat. Great atmosphere. Deff a good place to go if you are into sports and want to watch the games. There are T. V’s everywhere. It was a bit noisy so if you are looking for a quiet place this is not the place for you. Now lets get to the food. We started with the deep fried pickles they were very good. I ordered a burger and let me tell you it was amazing. Its was huge, tasty, juicy. The highlight had to be the fries. The fries were seasoned with bbq powder which gave a huge twist the fries. I know there are tons of places to eat in Vegas but if you at the MGM you need to try this place.

A good place to enjoy a couple of drinks as well as to have dinner (or both, as I did recently). Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
They have a good tap beer selection-​a couple of dozen that I could see-​and having a Deschutes brew is a must try.
Food-​wise, the wedge salad is good-​the balsamic drizzle along with a lightly creamy but chunky bleu cheese dressing was perfect. Shrimp & grits was good-​blackened shrimp-​and the grits were just right texture-​wise. A slice of Andouille made it every better. My wife had the filet, which came with a tangy chimichuri sauce and a sweet and spicy bbq sauce on the side. The street corn was a good side to share.
Everything was good and the nacho plate looked awfully good… next time for sure!

Everything about this lunch was top notch. If you’re in the mood for a burger for lunch, the, Prix Fixe is the way to go.
The 1842 burger was very, very good. Mushrooms, caramelized onions, and truffle aioli? GET IN MY BELLY! The fries were amazing. The chocolate chip cookie? Amazing!
The milkshake? Yup! You guessed it. It was very well made.
Here’s where I really appreciate them. THEY OFFER FLIGHTS OF MILKSHAKES!
You can get a taste of all four milkshakes (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and salted caramel) for $ 10.
Neat. Just neat!

It’s a 3.5 for me…
Here’s the short end of it:
1. The menu is pricey – even the kid’s menu.
2. The food is delicious (have the burger or pulled pork sandwich) and is prepared perfect. Out of 13 entrees, every person in our party loved their meals.
3. The service is dependent on who you get. Over the course of a 7 day convention, we ate there 3 times. All the male servers were completely nice and friendly. All the female servers couldn’t be bothered and kinda had chips on their shoulders. We ignored it, but it was really noticeable all 3 times.
I would definitely go back the next time we are at the MGM. It’s great for happy hour and/​or any sporting event!

Kudos to the cool guys at the bar! We wanted a casual lunch that included a burger! After mistaking a ‘shrooms’ burger for a hamburger with mushroom at Shake Shack, I wanted to make sure I had some real meat in my next Vegas burger.
Location is in the MGM Grand, and there is seating indoors, at the bar, and inside.
Pub 1842 has a huge variety of pub grub. We opted for their prix fix lunch to include cocktails… bargain for what we got! My meal included a choice of any of their signature burgers, and yes, I selected the 1842, carmelized onions, mushrooms, truffle aioli and a choice of sides, and I selected the seasoned BBQ french fries. Both items were HUGE. My lunch also included a ‘boozy shake’, and I chose a Vanilla Shake with Vanilla Vodka. That was amazing.
Their food was large in portion and tasty too. Service by our great bartenders was exceptional. They made sure we had our food in a timely manner.
