Pier 1 Imports #1386

I purchased these dishes after Christmas 2014 on sale and for half price ($ 5 each). I bought 13 dishes total.
I used them for the first time on Christmas 2015 and only used 4 dishes. I washed them by hand because I didn’t think they could go in the dishwasher. While washing them, the color started to come off immediately.
When I returned them to the store, due to the poor quality… and since I had moved three times in the year, I couldn’t locate a receipt. And I certainly didn’t think I’d need a receipt for dishes.
However, when I tried to return them and showing them the poor quality of the product, I was told I would be credited an in store credit of the current skew price of $.98 per dish. I could understand it if I just didn’t like them but this was poor quality! And I had all 13 dishes for comparison.
I am so disappointed in the poor customer service and inability to stand behind their products. I told the store manager that they would loose a long time customer and my credit card would be shredded immediately.

I was walking out the store and this guy walked in and tripped me and I fell on the ground with my shoe over by the cash register. The old lady that works here said I need to leave the store so I did but as I went to pick up my shoe. I put my shoe back on and left the store. As I was walking out The guy said I should look where I walk. I turned back around and said you the one that tripped me and then the guy said my daughter is right here you going to talk like that. That’s when the guy started to yell at me, to protect myself I yelled back and finally after a while of yelling I said I’m calling to police. But instead I went to get my mom which was looking around and she asked what happen and I said go ask the lady in the front that works here. The lady lied to my mom saying I was rushing out and the guy didn’t tripped me, etc. The guy then said we are not all perfect, points to the lady that works here, his daughter, my mom and then points to me and say I’m a Maniac. That’s when my mom said we are leaving. I asked the lady that works here if there are cameras and the lady said no (another lie), is there a manger on duty (YES, let me go get her) but instead we left.
My mom is on my side. The guy was in the wrong. The lady that works here needs to be fired, the daughter of the guy didn’t do anything.
Will not be returning to this shopping center ever again. If this didn’t happen I would return but since it did. I’ll go to a different shoppping center. Won’t tell you which one due to if this guy that tripped me is reading this.
The lady that’s works here lied the whole time except one time about the manger being there.
I don’t care if I made a seen in this store, the guy shouldn’t had tripped me. Plus the guy started it.

This store is a very popular Pier 1 in LV. It is an anchor store in the Tropicana Beltway Center. I work in the same center, and love going here for decorations for my home. They have a nice and very helpful staff.

Pier 1 has really gone down hill. I have spent plenty of money in Pier 1 for many years. Even, a complete king bedroom set from the store when I lived on Oahu. The quality was ok for c the price I paid. I now live in Las Vegas. I ordered a queen headboard for the guest bedroom. Including tax total about $ 350. Picked it up in the box, got it home, tried to put it together. Holes not drilled properly, so, after about 6 hours of trying to get the thing put together I gave up. Put it back in the truck & returned it. I was told that they were able to screw it together, but, reluctantly refunded my money. Thinking this was just a bad experience, I ordered a different headboard plus a matching night stand. Back to Pier 1 in the truck, picked up the items. Just opened the box with the headboard in it. Omg, this one is a piece of junk! Pictures are posted. You can see for yourself. I will never purchase any more furniture from Pier 1 ever again!

We frequent this store, but this last time we were highly discriminated against. there was a new guy behind the counter that wouldn’t give us the time of day. He didn’t acknowledge us as we walked in, but greeted every other customer in the store. We feel discriminated against due to our tattoos and died hair honestly. All other associates that work here are very kind, this guy was a bad choice to represent this store. We Will NEVER be going back to this location. We stood at the counter for over 10 minutes until he acknowledged us there and ready for check out. then after paying he watched us closely as we exited the store like we are some hoodlums about to rob the place. VERY VERY bad customer service. Little does he know we make well over 10x a year what he makes, and you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Good luck with yourself. We will be taking our business elsewhere as word of mouth goes a long way.

I went to the Charleston location yesterday and the staff was a bit rude and didn’t know their own product. Today I decided to go to the Ft. Apache and Trop location and the ladies were just darling and were great help. Ashley was wonderful and helpful. The staff went out of their way to help. One of the girls helped even tie the bowl part to the roof of my car since it wouldn’t fit anywhere into the car. Thank you guys. You all ROCK :) I totally love my new papasan chair.

This store is home décor heaven! From large furniture items to cute little nick nacks… they have it all. The prices are a little steep on some items, but if you look hard there are always deals! I wish the staff at this store was a little more knowledgeable about the products sold here though.

Friendly, but not pushy staff. Store is filled with anything you could think of for home decorating. Such bright colors– seasonal items for every room of the house.
Also a small section of jewelry and accessories.
Have a party you are throwing or a party you are attending? This store has what you need.

Pier 1 is one of those stores that never get too full. Maybe because they tend to be more on the costly side, but once in a while they do have some good sales. Their furnishing is fun, bright, and vivid. The deep reds, teal, and aqua themes are some of my favorite. Not to mention that Pier 1 takes the highly popularized travel theme and made it that much better. The passport standing screen, drawer, and chest are adorable. I want to have these items interspersed throughout the house. Being an adult is no fun sometimes. Especially when you see the price tag. Oh well, nice things are never cheap.

Stopped in for some scented oil diffusers and spent a good hour wandering around checking out all the great holiday stuff.
I’ve never been a regular visitor of Pier 1, but it seems they have updated their stock to include a lot of items that I really liked.
The staff was awesome and helpful. I’ll be going back for December decorating ideas!
