The new manager, Anthony H. is a life saver! He reviewed my complaint and offered me a free rental (which he didn’t have to do). I really appreciate the generosity and effort he put in just to reach out to me. I am now satisfied with Renttext. Go visit them, they’re amazing.

The prices are decent. Parking is terrible. Sometimes you will get good customer service. The worst is they won’t pick up the phone when you call. Also, their website mentions that they are open on Saturday, but after I drove 30 minutes to get there, the store was closed! I went around 2pm and tried calling beforehand but since they don’t pick up their phone anyway, I couldn’t tell if they were closed or just ignoring the phone

Employee, Renata, was extremely pleasant during my two visits. During the first visit, I rented textbooks and she had no problem comparing the price to buy vs. rent and even checking to see what CSN’s cost was. During the second visit, sold 2 English books from last semester.
As it turned out, my son needed, for this semester, the very same two English books that I had just sold to Renttext! I telephoned Anthony and explained the situation and he allowed me to buy back the books that I had sold to him without giving me the slightest trouble.
I am very pleased with my positive experiences at Renttext at Charleston and Torrey Pines. I could not ask for better customer service.
I hope that they will continue to prioritize satisfying the customer because they are doing a great job!

The only thing I like about Renttext is that they have cheap prices for textbooks. But WOW do they have HORRIBLE customer service. The phone goes straight to voicemail all the time and emails are never answered. The only way to contact them is if you physically come into the store. Also, they charged my card WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. I came into the store (because they weren’t answering my calls or emails) to find out why and it was a huge miscommunication. The only thing I got out of them was, «Sorry.» They didn’t even compensate me in any way. If my card gets charged one more time without any notice, I will not be returning to this terrible and awful company!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff that helped me get all of my needed books. You can pay now or set up an automatic payment later if you are waiting on funds.

Zero stars if I could. WHAT A JOKE. Don’t bother calling or emailing– they will not respond. Never going to do business with this «establishment» again

Not sure why there are such bad reviews here. I love this place. The manager is a very customer service oriented individual. He came to discuss his business to CSN and he seemed like a great honest guy. I went there to check if they had nursing books and I was surprised that they did. They even have the online access codes for a lot of CSN science and math classes. They do price match with our campus bookstore which is awesome. And they said if I rent a book and decide I want to keep it all I have to do is pay the difference from the sell price. Awesome. They were giving free t-​shirts and sunglasses last time I was there. Oh and they buy back old textbooks. Highly recommended business. It’s worth a shot to save some money.

Anthony the store manager is very friendly and helpful!!! They also have books with access codes too, such as mymathlab!!! I was so shocked that they had that. They also have the IC3 voucher code for the exams too!
I would definitely recommend getting your books here than the campus bookstore. Their price is very reasonable.
Their store hours are also extended the first week that school starts too. They’re open till 8pm :)

If you want to save some money on books I would recommend this place. Second time using them for my semesters and so far a great experience. I love that they can charge you a month later for the books. Friendly and quick service.

Definitely one of the best places to rent books from for CSN (Charleston Campus). I would absolutely refer this place to my friends if they needed better prices for books.

Rented from them & returned the books in a week early. A couple weeks later I saw on my statement that they were slowly taking money out of my account. When I went in they accused me for turning the book in late. They scam you on the prices also.

I have had such a difficult time with this business. I ordered my books a week and a half ago, as I do not live in Vegas and needed my books before the start of the semester. I found it odd that I never got a shipping confirmation, so I decided to call them. When I called they informed me that my books had not been shipped because they did not have the books. Then someone else came on the phone and told me that they had not shipped them, becaude only two people in the store know what they are doing and everyone else is new. When I asked why I was not informed that they had not shipped them, he told me thwt they have too much other stuff to do. I informed him my classes start the 25^th of August and if I do not have the books, I will fail. He said they will expadite ship them and not charge me the extra for it. Today I looked in my bank account to see I was charged for the books and the original shipping, but I still have yet to recieve a shipping conformation. I called a half hour before they close today and no one answered. I will never deal with this company again.

Wow! The employees were very helpful and friendly. I needed a book cheaper than what was at the school. You will find what you need here and it’ll be significantly cheaper. Especially as a young student, this was a sweet surprise.

My friend went into the store a few semesters back and rented some books. Apparently he saved nearly $ 300 on a couple of books. I was astounded! Way too good to be true! So I went in myself and discovered I was wrong. the place is very much legitimate and the claim is true. They save you tons of money on your college textbooks!
