The past few years, whenever we’ve been in Vegas, hubby has hankered to visit this store (we’ve passed it a gazillion times, located in the Cosmo by the entrance/​exit to the sky bridge to the Strip and Aria hotel/​Crystals shops). But we always passed by after hours, when this store was closed. Seriously, hubby was crestfallen many a time. He loves eyeglasses and unique designs and aesthetics.
But this past trip, recently, we finally got to this store when it was still open! Hubby was thrilled. For me, I thought I’d just indulge my husband for a quite stroll around this store, not expecting to really be intrigued by anything here. Eyeglasses don’t «talk to me» the way they do my husband.
But I was so wrong! I really enjoyed this store and, truth be known, I found it fascinating.
Whereas hubby looked at all the unique frames as a potential customer, I was interested in the historical aspect of each style. You see, the store owners wisely displayed photos of historical figures and celebrities (old and new) wearing certain eyeglasses, and then they placed the exact frames by the photos. Whereas hubby saw this store as, well, a store, I saw it more as a museum. How cool, to see stars from the Golden Age of film, wearing specific glasses, and right there, there are the same glasses! And unlike most museums, you can touch the «exhibits» and even try them on. And how cool, you can purchase them too!
(I’m an old history major, so I relish learning of older eras and periods and seeing photos and artifacts, etc.) .
I easily could have stayed longer in this store but alas, it was closing (just our luck!). But I really liked the diversity of frames, how they were displayed, how the old photos were beside the frames, how the clerk or owner (not sure if the man we spoke to owned the store) was so knowledgeable of every item, and the store itself was really cool, with authentic, antique optical machines and a dividing glass «shadow box» wall behind the counter containing thousands of old eyeglass frames. So clever! Just a neat place, whether you’re in the market for a pair of cool specs, or you simply appreciate cool designs, or you’re an old fart of a history buff like myself.

Awesome customer service! The employees definitely knew their stuff. I live in New York and went there when I was on vacation. 2 months after I left they helped me over the phone, answered all of my questions, and kept in touch with me to make sure I was satisfied with the product and services. They may be on the pricier side but look at what they’re selling. You get what you pay for. Gorgeous and authentic you can’t go wrong. :) I would definitely shop there again

This place is amazing. I happened to stumble into this place because my friend had a «sunglass» emergency. So I had a chance to look around. The décor in here is insane. The wall full of eye glass frames and all the one of a kind eye wear — glasses to sunglasses. They have sunglasses that you’d never see anyone else wear, original, one of a kind. The owner goes around the world buying and selling original vintage frames and restoring them.
But what I liked the most about this place is the staff. We were just chatting about sunglasses because I have real passion for them but boy the staff are so passionate and knowledgeable about all the sunglasses that they have — the history, the material it’s made of, how it works, how it sits on your face! While chatting the technician there adjusted my sunglasses to sit perfectly on my face. I told them I had no expectations because I have high cheek bone and no one can get it right. Guess what? He fixed my problem!!! It doesn’t touch my cheeks even when I smile. That’s how good they are!!!
I’m definitely coming back to check out what they have next time I’m in Vegas.

I can’t say anything but excellent things about RetroSpecs! They have amazing products backed by a fantastic warranty and exceptional customer service. This company is as good as it gets! It’s refreshing to find a business who still understands the value of customer service and these guys hit the mark. We have been purchasing frames from Retrospecs since 2011 and own between 15 – 20 pairs of frames between my husband and I. We love the staff and service we are always greeted with. All frames are high quality and not what you see in everyday retail glasses. They are all original frames from the time period they represent. Going to Retrospecs inside the Cosmos has become a habit and buying frames from them is now an addiction. It’s worth the spend and helpful hint: if you have a medical FSA account it will cover your frames. Ask for Blake, Dustin, Chris or Steve. Knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and not pushy!

Absolutely the best level of service, not to mention flawless results. If you have some eyewear that needs to be refreshed, this is the place to go. Blake happened to help me with a pair of my favorite sunglasses that were scratched; they had extremely unique lenses that were a yellow with a slight mirror finish. I never thought that they would come out Looking BRAND NEW! Plus, Blake kept me up to date throughout the process and shipped them right to my doorstep. Thanks to Blake and team for an amazing job! You guys have absolutely earned my business.

Absolutely the most incredible store for unique vintage eyewear. The service provided is out of this world special. Every time I’m in Vegas this is «MUST STOP». Nothing any wear, compares to the selection or service. Unique hand crafted frames that are truly precious and should be considered art. If you want something special and unique this is the go to place.

Incredible retro original collector eyewear. Vintage frames from the 50s, 60s, early 19^th century… amazing.
We were here last week with some friends and they found two pairs of vintage sunglasses that they fell in love with. A fun place to come in and seek a special gift for yourself or someone you love.
The hubby found a pair that he’s sure to come back for very soon. They’re the same ones Johnny Depp has-​which by the way he happens to be a customer. I don’t know which ones were my favorites the 50s cateye frames or the Diane Von Furstenburg from the 70s where I was channeling one of Charlie’s Angels? Decisions!
