I love spices because I cook! Can’t believe I didn’t know about this place. They’ve been open for over 3 years… As soon as you walk in the store, you can smell all kinds of exotic spices. The lady greets you with a smile and help you with what you are looking for. She knows all about the spices there! They have a lot of tea pots, too. I found the cute tea set I liked but I felt the prices of it was a little more than the other stores.(I’m a hardcore Amazon shopper.) It’s nice you get a decent size sample of spice or tea with purchase. I got Mediterranean blend spice! Nice to have this nice spice store in my neighborhood. I’ll be back!

When I visited Reno, I went to store that sold various teas and spices, and I wondered… hmm does Vegas have this as well? Since I really enjoy brewing my own teas, I decided to use Unilocal to find a mom-and-pop loose leaf tea place, and I found this place! I really enjoyed the selection they offered, and their teas were very flavorful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves drinking tea!

First off, it’s in the plaza with Michaels, Nike Outlet, Famous Footwear for those directionally challenged like me. Sheffield has a huge supply of teas, salts, spices and baking mixes. A lot more than I expected. The teas in the bottles to smell didn’t give off much scent, which had me a little worried at first. However after I brewed the tea at home they gave off a lot of aroma. With any purchase you get a sample of tea, BBQ seasoning or salt. There’s a card on the table with brewing instructions for first timers! There’s also a table up front with clearance items for 50% off. Earl grey already in tea bags: 20 satchels for less than $ 3 Rose rooibos: small packet for $ 5 It’s really affordable!

Exotic! Sensational! Tantalizing to the nose. It’s a store. Teas BBQ rubs and spices and hand made vinegars too. Store is neat!, clean and organized. Owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. This is a one of a kind in Vegas store!, yes the only one. Looking for tea to stash; this is the only one. Thank you Sheffields!

Our home is vegetarian and there are so many options here to dress your food up and keep it exciting. They have everything here. Staff are extremely helpful and are always curious as to how we are using the spices. The give recommendations and free recipes too. I can get a different blend of tea every time I visit because there is so much variety. If you love to cook, bake or if you love tea — this is a great spot to visit. The samples with every purchase are a great way of trying something new you never thought you’d try. A true gem in our neighborhood which I hope grows with our family for years to come.

As an eager home cook, I absolutely love love love spices. When I travel the globe, local spices are what I buy as souvenirs. Since Vegas doesn’t have Penzey’s or Savory Spice shop, I was so happy to find Sheffield’s! This cute little store has some pretty nice spices for baking, sauteeing, barbecuing and more. The ingredients are clearly spelled out on the label(watch out for spices with added sugar) and the blends are interesting and fun. You can smell before you buy(super important to me) to check the freshness of the product. I always buy in small bags because old spices are the worst. If you buy smaller portions, you’ll know your spices will still be fresh and strong and won’t languish on your pantry shelf for years. Just say NO to old spices. Go dump all the junk out in your kitchen now and get to this store for fresh ones. You can thank me later! The owners and employees don’t seem to have a vast knowledge of cooking, but what they lack in culinary expertise they make up for in enthusiasm. You don’t have to be a Michelin-starred chef to shop here; even beginners can pick up some unfamiliar spices to «kick it up a notch» in their home kitchen. If you are familiar with the more exotic spice varieties, you’ll be in foodie heaven here. Life’s too short to eat plain chicken breasts; sprinkle on some fun, exotic spices and let your taste buds enjoy the ride.

My only complaint is no one from this place has hopped in the car with me yet offering to come home and cook for me yet! Mexican Oregano… A current favorite!!! Special requests don’t phase the folks here! Customer service is key in this specialty shoppe where parking has NEVER been a problem. Talk cooking with Cheryl and she can suggest items! Before you stick up for the holidays replenishing your OLD grocery store spices or WORSE … Cook with them… Again, visit Sheffields. Now let’s talk TEA! Better yet… Come in and sip some! Tea lovers adore Sheffields. Tea novices rely on Sheffields even for simple brewing instructions! Great gift ideas! Fabulous Personal shopping assistance!

This place is a tea heaven for me! I’ve always preferred loose leaf teas and I’ve hated Teavana because they are so expensive and so pushy so I’ve resigned myself to drinking tea with tea bags until I moved to Vegas and discovered this store! I had found it on Unilocal and saw it was only a couple miles from me so I came down one day to wander around and was very pleasantly surprised. I was greeted when I walked in and she led me directly to the teas where I stood in awe lol. She briefly explained how they were laid out and left me to explore. On my first visit I bought the green tea with ginger and the gunpowder. On my other visits I grew more curious and tried the black fruity teas and my favorites are the strawberry and raspberry teas. I also discovered the staff can make up larger bags of tea for you too since I go through the 2 oz bags pretty quick. I usually have them make up 4 oz bags of tea for my favorites, which I think is awesome and those only cost $ 10.70, which is still a pretty good price! Definitely better than Teavana! I’ve bought one or two things of spices and I’ve looked around at the other things in the store but the tea is what I mainly go to when I go in the store. I also love the samples I get when I pay for my purchases…9 out of 10 times I usually get the tea out of the samples but sometimes a spice will stand out. I would definitely keep coming back to this store again and again for all my tea needs and hard to find spices!

Tea-lovers you HAVE to visit this adorable little shop! Even if you don’t like tea, make the stop for unique spices, flavored oils and seasonings of every kind for your meats, veggies, soups and dips. Even if you don’t love tea, this place has so many specialty items and«farmers market» type goodies you’ll love. Their teas are all loose leaf and in clear bags so you can see what you’re buying. They also have samples of everything in jars in front of the teas so you can smell the flavors. Several samples were also available to taste. I was able to purchase many different items on top of the tea I stopped in to buy including spicy vegetable dip, the original Montréal seasoning, candied ginger and vanilla. I look forward to coming back!

Oh, that smell… When you first walk into Sheffield’s you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. With a combination of hundreds of teas and spices, the smell is something you just can’t avoid. Some love it, some hate it. I’m one of the ones who loves it, and if anything, it just makes me want to buy more stuff. Maybe that’s their whole plan though. Hmm. Besides the smell, there’s another thing about this place that I absolutely love… the service. We’ve now been here on a multiple occasions and have gotten nothing but excellent service. Both Rick and Cheryl are extremely knowledgable about their product. Even more important is how passionate they are about the products. I would imagine there isn’t a single item in the store that they haven’t tried and/or studied to know exactly what it is, what it tastes like, what its used for, etc. From teas to spices and oils, even the physical items, their knowledge of what they sell is absolutely unbelievable. It’s also extremely refreshing to see how much time they will happily take with each and every customer to make sure they get what they want. And if you aren’t sure, a couple questions from Rick and Cheryl will open you up to a whole list of products that you’ll want to take home and try. In my experience so far, none of their suggestions have failed me either. On our first visit, we stuck mainly to teas. Having really only shopped at Teavana prior, we were definitely new to the types of teas available. Not only did Sheffield carry a whole lot more variety, but their prices put shops like Teavana to shame. After speaking with Rick a bit on our first visit, I took home some darker mate teas that are fantastic. If you are a coffee lover like I am, their Chocolate Nut Mate is a must try. But from that to oolongs, blacks, chai’s, etc… everything we’ve gotten from here has been great. They also even sell matcha straight from the plant sourced directly from Japan. It doesn’t get much better than that. For those who aren’t tea drinkers, Sheffield’s also carries a huge line of seasonings and oils. We’ve just now started to venture into that side of their store, and I wish I had a lot sooner. The amount of products that they carry is pretty amazing. You can find several different types of salts, peppers and staple ingredients, but on top of that, they offer a pretty good amount of really hard to find stuff like their new line of ghost pepper products. And if you’re a little unsure of what to get, they even make some custom in-house blends that are ready to be used right out of the package. Plus the prices are just ridiculously good. I can walk in here with $ 20 and leave without feeling like I got taken. No matter what you come to Sheffield’s for, you’re bound to leave happy. We live almost 30 miles from their store and pretty much shop here exclusively for teas. Rumor has it their working on opening a location more towards the North. If that happens, it’ll be dangerous for my wallet and cabinet space. Sheffield’s is seriously a MUST check out and they are the epitome of a small business doing it right.

It took me forever to shop here, but I finally made it in. Compelled by my need to buy Shirley B. some birthday gifts, I know this is one of her favorite places and I can see why. What a vast selection of teas, spices, cooking oils, and more to choose from here! The owner, Cheryl Sheffield, was all by herself when I walked in yesterday afternoon and I told her who I was shopping for; of course she knew Shirley B. I asked her to just pick out a few things that the Duchess would like and she did just that. I also took the opportunity to browse the whole store and saw several teas that I’d like in many different flavors. I settled on chocolate and chai teas for myself and my son on this visit; I can finally break out the tea infuser that I got as a gift last year! Ms. Sheffield was so helpful and informative about her products and it’s quite obvious why this place is so highly rated and deservedly so. I will definitely be back for more soon.

The Skinny: great place to find tea or spices with very reasonable prices(5). FYI — As I am writing this review, I am enjoying a large mug of Formosa peach oolong blend. Delicious! It was Small Business Saturday Amex promotion last weekend and we were looking for establishments to drop some dough. I was happy to find Sheffield’s through the Amex website. So we headed over to Henderson to take a peek. This store is tucked away in a little strip mall. It is kind of hard to find but it is close to the Lane Bryant part. I was floored by the variety and breadth of their tea offerings. They have 140 types of teas that range from your typical flavors — English Breakfast, Earl Grey(what I think of as Western Style) to your more exotic(aka more expensive) Silver Needle, Dragon Well, Matcha(Eastern style). They also have your more unconventional fruit flavored teas as well as the herbal blends(peppermint, german chamomile). There are small glass jars filled with a small amount of tea so you can smell their product without opening up the bags. I got a massive bag of peppermint tea and medium sized formosa peach oolong(Taiwanese) for about $ 5 – 6 each. The hubs got a bag of Japanese styled genmaicha and an unusual roasted Japanese tea for similar prices as well. We also got two free samples of their island strawberry green tea in the mix. Cool, huh? Preparation method is clearly written on the labels of each of their bags of loose leaf teas. Also, they have a wonderful spice selection which is actually largely than their tea offerings. I am not talking about paprika — I’m talking like a few different kinds of paprika each to select from. It is almost overwhelming. Not to mention stuff like bourbon vanilla bean paste(how luxurious can you get as a baker?), this place is heavenly for those who like to cook/bake. Considering their stock, prices are quite reasonable. They also have some oils and vinegars however their selection for this is rather limited compared to their spices/teas. I can’t wait to come back to this hidden gem in Henderson! I highly recommend this place.

Just by accident, I found this place. I went in to take a look around, I was greeted by a young salesperson and she was very friendly. I’m not the cook in my family, that job belongs to my husband, but I love tea! This place is full of spices and teas and all things related. She gave me a little intoduction to the store layout and offerd me a tea sample, they had three to try, two hot and one iced. I tried only one black tea with hazelnut, it was very good! There are plenty of teas, each split into categories. Each blend has a jar to allow for auromatic enjoyment. I selected three tea chioces and signed up for their email notifications to keep abreast of new arrivials. A truely fun shop, for me, a person who thoroughly enjoys tea, will bookmark this place and recommend it for those that feel as passionate about teas as I.

After so many times of coming into this plaza, I finally made a stop at Sheffield and I could not be more happy about what I found. Browsing around the store, I saw so many spices and blends that I need for my kitchen. What really caught my eye was the selection of tea. With fall and winter coming around, I am ready for a nice warm beverage. Tea being my preferred mode of «caffeination» had me scanning and limiting my choices to two per visit. The vast array of green teas could have me busy for some time alone. My friend and I came in close to closing, so we tried to be courteous and not take too long to look. Next time I will need to spend some time to look at all the infused oils and balsamic vinegars. It was really sweet how they give free samples of their product with a purchase above $ 5.

I’ve had this bookmarked for a long time and haven’t been able to go out this way. While trekking with David S. he makes the suggestion to stop in this shop as we were just next door. There is a lack of a local business that stocks spices, oils, sauces and teas and this place has all the above and fills that need. I browsed all the types of spices and teas and smelled a few of the sample jars. I also tried a few of the brewed tea samples out. They also let you sample the oils and balsamic which is awesome since sometimes you are just looking for a particular flavor profile. I ended up buying some keffir lime leaves as I’ve had trouble finding it locally. It was in pieces than whole, but it’ll be really nice for herbal salads. I also got two teas: Bourbon Street Rooibos which just had a nice sweet and nutty aroma and Honeybush African which had a bright and spice aroma and I rarely see honeybush teas. It’s similar to rooibos, but slightly naturally sweet and really lovely if you want something caffeine free. I wanted to browse a bit more, but didn’t want to keep her as we slipped in near closing. It gives me reason to come back and bring the fiancé as he would love this place. So far I’m pleased with what I got here and the prices are very fair. The keffir leaves were $ 2 and some change and both teas were $ 5 for 2 oz bags. I haven’t used everything yet, but the honeybush tea was lovely as I’ve unfortunately come down with a wicked cold. To top it off, if you make a purchase over $ 5 you get to pick a free sample! I got a little bag of Irish Breakfast tea to try. Little things like that make me excited as it’s another thing to try. I’m really excited to come back to this place. Now that were approaching fall, it’s time for me to stock up on teas again. It’s on the opposite end of town from me, but this is the type of specialty store that is worth the trek.

Great place with a wide variety of choices of spices, teas, and olive oils. The owners are very friendly and helpful and really have a passion for what they do, which is plain to see as soon as you meet them. The bar was set high for me with penzeys and savory spice shop in Denver, and this place didn’t disappoint. I will say that Whenever I go to places like this, I for some reason think that I need a 2 lb bag of Kansas City style rib rub because it just smells so good, forgetting that I make ribs about 0.6 times per year. So exercise moderation, but definitely stop in and try sheffields. Ps: Try Lapsang Souchong. Smokey, earthy, potent. It’s like the tea version of whiskey.

Thank heaven for Shirley B. I learned about Sheffield from her, and immediately planned to visit before the store closed today. I zoomed over there at 6:40, with 20 minutes to spare. I met the Sheffields who own this one and only shop. Personally, I always felt Vegas was missing a Spice shop(well, and a tea shop after Two Sisters closed) and have been ordering my spices online from the Spice and Tea Exchange, which is a national chain that I discovered in Portland. I order my tea from many places online so if you want to talk tea, that is another long discussion with me! As for this place, it was exactly what I have been looking for — the Sheffields told me they get spices, salts, and sugars from the same distributor as S&T(though some of the rubs and other blends are different). This store also has flavored and varietal olive oils. Upon entering, I was offered a sample of strawberry green tea brewed and iced, which was refreshing. There are many nice teas here, including matcha, genmaicha, and green jasmine. The store carries several flavored teas as well. There are tea accessories, saltkeepers, spice jars, bamboo cutting boards and other related items. Over 200 spices are available here. Because I have an enormous spice collection as it is and no extra room, I only got powdered lemon peel, roasted garlic chips, and Jamaican jerk blend tonight. However, when I need something, I will definitely be back here instead of paying shipping online! I did ask if the store has truffle salt, which it does not. The Sheffields seem open to special orders if there is enough interest, so if I do run out I will ask for it, but for now I am truffly good. I am really curious about the habanero sugar. Who wants to try it first?
