This is a hike that promises a good workout for many, it’s a fun hike that has a easy two mile part through the desert and then climbs up a steep dirt road to the radio tower. It’s 40 minutes of warming up to the road and there’s very minimal elevation gain to this part. From there it’s about a mile up the steep road to the radio tower which take an additional half an hour for most to do it. It’s a good workout, not too strenuous, and there no scrambling. Nearly a 950 ft steady elevation gain. View from the top is incredible. The Strip, mountains and possibly AZ in the far distance. This hike is good for strong dogs, older kids probably ok. No one with a pacemaker should do this hike as the top is all radio towers. Total time to finish this is around 2.5 hrs with a break at the top. 6 miles total distance.
