Proof gimmicks work… I’ve been filling up my 5-gallon water bottles here since I moved to Vegas, not because I’m certain it’s the best place around, but because I remember exactly where it is since its shaped like a giant water bottle. It’s conveniently located off Fort Apache in the parking lot of a small shopping center. Trust me, you can’t miss this place given the shape of the filling station. I’ve always kinda liked this place because it has two filling stations so I can have two bottles being filled at once, cutting my time in half. I’ve never had any problems with it until today. I paid with my debit card(a convenience I’ve always considered a plus here) and the first thing I noticed was it forced me to purchase $ 3 worth of credits up front, then the machine stopped filling my bottle half way. The rest of the $ 3 in credit was suddenly gone. I moved the bottle to the other station, inserted my card, was again charged $ 3 upfront. This time, it filled a whole bottle, but after one fill(valued at $ 1.50), my $ 3 worth of credit was gone. I’m not saying you should avoid this place, because I’ve been stopping by every week for 6 months and I’ve never been disappointed. I am saying this made me very unhappy and I’ll most likely put more effort into finding something closer to my house that won’t rip me off.
