Wow. When you first walk into this small-looking spot in a run-down plaza, you’ll be a bit taken aback by the massive amount of pastries, cookies, breads, and cake slices. And then there are refrigerated cases with jellos, custards, and whole cakes. This spot has a huge selection. You might even want to schedule an eye exam, because they have super low prices too. But oddly, they don’t seem to get too much business(there isn’t much in the area to draw other traffic), so I am a bit curious as to the freshness of their goods. But I’m not one to pass up a new spot to try, so I gathered a variety of treats to sample and took my order to go. I like how they have miniature desserts for $ 1 – 2 and a 5/$ 1 cookie deal(mix and match however you want). The truffles and Mexican wedding cookies were unremarkable, and the fruit tart I was so looking forward to had a thick crust that tasted like paste and an unremarkable cream filling. The beautiful leaf-shaped pastries(no clue what they’re called) were little more than dough and that same flavorless cream. The mini cheesecake was alright, but the crust was mushy– not sure if this is due to the smaller size, refrigerator temperature, or your garden-variety carelessness. I wasn’t blown away by anything I tried, and the language barrier made it a bit difficult to ask about unfamiliar items(use the pointing system to order). I may return to try some of the breads or a tres leches, but I’m not expecting greatness.

DONOTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESS, HORRIBLESERVICEANDWONTFIXTHEIRMISTAKES! I wish I could give negative stars to this business. The amount of garbage and disrespect is enough to make you wonder how they are still in business The order was simple, two tier cake bottom to be vanilla white cake with strawberries and cream filling. Top cake to be Mocha Cake with strawberries. The cake was $ 150, and to be picked up on 11÷7÷15 at 11 am. Someone is there to pick up cake and they can’t find the order! No record, no understanding no apology. Just well what can we say than we don’t have it. We show them the receipt all of a sudden the cake magically appears with still the I’m bothering them attitude. I bring it home it’s a Pretty cake… I thought it was the end of that. When it comes down to cutting the cake we start at top… I put the knife through and find it hard to smoothly go through. I thought since it was a Mocha cake as the top tier it had some type of crunch to it. Until people started coming back giving the cake back and asking for the other one because the strawberries in the mocha cake Were FROZEN! FROZENSTRAWBERRIES not only were they frozen but as a bakery how do you not use fresh fruit! I was so embarrassed all my guests didn’t want to say anything to me. When I went to cut the the bottom cake it didn’t have strawberries. But at this point does it matter since they are FROZEN! I paid for this mistake, as a business owner I know if I make a mistake I fix it, and I own it. I called the«bakery» and spoke to the owner Salvador I was told too bad. That I should of not eaten and brought the cake back. This is his mistake why am The one to hustle and move for his mistake. A couple things here. One we threw out the top tier cake everyone returned it. We gave the guests the bottom cake but it wasn’t enough. The indifference in this experience was absolutely unprofessional, uncaring, and lack luster. How can you honestly that with integrity. It’s not money it’s the principal! I guarantee you this has happened before. I will NEVER come back and will let everyone one know the ethics this place has.

********************EDIT!!!********************** I changed my review from 1 star to 3 because of how helpful the manager ended up being I ended up getting a refund for my cake. I want to thank the manger for taking care of me & giving me a refund! I appreciate it! We came to the conclusion that it was a miscommunication and I think they handled the situation well again I appreciate it Vegas bakery I am EXTREMELY disappointed & upset! I was recommended to this bakery by a friend so I went ahead and took the recommendation. I shouldn’t have. I had a very specific cake I wanted and I showed the baker the picture of the cake. I even sent it to her. She assured me that it would come out that way and it was something she could easily do. When I went to go pick up the cake it was NOTHING like the picture. I paid $ 75 for the cake which I was okay with thinking that I would get for what I paid for. I surely didn’t. The icing on the cake is also cheap icing that wasn’t even tasty. I’m so sad that I didn’t get the cake I wanted for my bf. Please be aware when purchasing a cake for here.

Items Selected: Tres Leches Nuez Guava Turnover Foglia con Crema Y Pasas Dulce de Leche Cookie Mil Hojas with Peach Bread Pudding Borrachitos con Crema Located on North Jones and deceptively tucked away in a shopping center with signage that depicts neither the style nor scope of the space it was just prior to 9am that I entered Vegas Bakery and with a vast display of Mexican pastries laid out before me the choices almost seemed overwhelming, a clerk with fairly good English skills helping to navigate the half-dozen cases, each item reportedly made on premises with bakers arriving at 3am seven-days per week. Without a doubt the most copious display of cakes seen to date on this side of the Strip it was to wide eyes that more than sixty styles of sweets and savories glistened behind glass as I slowly made my way around the store, and with questions answered patiently about the constituents written in Spanish or shorthand an eventual order of seven items was hatched, the total tariff of $ 14.09 seemingly a bargain, though the quality of the goods would soon prove to range from truly delicious to unfortunately quite bad. Obviously not using top tier ingredients considering the bargain basement pricing of each item, the flavor profiles generally trending quite sweet with little evidence of restraint, it was upon relocating to a coffee shop with seating that first bites were taken, the Borrachitos con Crema featuring all the textures of a baba au rhum, though the flavor itself more closely resembled that of Hostess’ famous yellow snack cake. Moving next to a slice of bread pudding that came across a bit dense despite pleasant savory notes amidst the custard, plenty of raisins helping to offer a bit of variance to textures that were otherwise unvaried and homogenous throughout, it was with high hopes that I approached the layered Mil Hojas but for all the assertions of items made daily the puff pastry was already beset with sogginess while previously canned peaches were far too syrupy to justify more a small taste. At this point quickly losing faith that much would be memorable it was in both the guava turnover as well as the dulce de leche cookies that Vegas Bakery found a short reprieve, and with the former’s crisp pocket thickly packed with jam while the later reminded me sugary Pecan Sandies hopes were briefly enlivened for both Foglia and Walnut Tres Leches, the former totally forgettable while the latter would again disappoint with flavors of little more than granulated sugar, the gritty texture of the frosting failing to show even the slightest bit of care or technique. **Perhaps harboring too high of expectations considering the quality of items from Cake World just one day prior, but unable to overlook shoddy workmanship no matter how low the price, it is unfortunate that Vegas Bakery chooses to focus on quantity rather than quality as a few less items and more attention to the end product would likely yield far better results without all that much lost.

Wow. This hidden gem is spectacular! They have a HUGE variety of high quality pastries, breads, and cakes. Their prices were surprisingly fair despite the obvious handmade quality! I will definitely be returning, if not only for their LARGE and absolutely delicious cinnamon rolls(pan de canela). Everything appeared to be fresh… they also seemed to have pre-made cakes waiting as well as order ahead, custom cakes for all occasions or all types and sizes. They looked beyond decadent. I’m in trouble because this place is only a block away from my place… welp. Yummy yummy!

Great tres leches cake. I’m a sucker for deserts, like there are people out there that don’t care for sweets and a) I’m not one of them; b) I don’t understand them c) I can’t be friends with them(because that’s just weird). Now back to the cake, it’s super moist and not overly sweet, really delicious. I tried to not finish my huge piece and… just couldn’t… It had both chocolate and vanilla layers, good if you’re not sure what the person you’re getting it for likes. I also tried several of their pastries and really enjoyed their turnovers. The cupcakes are OK, and cake pops were not impressive. But cakes and pastries are fresh and delicious. The bakery is small and staff is friendly. As you walk in, you’re greeted by huge display fridges full of pretty cakes. Prices are very reasonable too.

I visited this bakery last Saturday because I was really craving a sweet, flaky pastry. Something like a Napoleon pastry. I’m not sure how long this bakery has been open because I’ve passed by this area a lot and remember the shopping area being very empty. When I entered there were wall refrigerators full of pretty cakes. Towards the back of the shop were 3 cases full of pastries. A lot of items didnt have signs or were in Spanish. No problem though, because the nice lady behind the counter explained to me the pastries that I asked about. Plus everything looked really good! I bought three pastries. One shinny one which I think had a liquor sauce on it, a small puff pastry shaped like a fish with cream inside, and finally another puff pastry that looked like a napoleon but with caramel layers. It only costed me around four bucks and very worth it. The pastries were delicious!!! Can’t wait to visit again to try some other choices.

First off, I’m not a big fan of bakeries. I know, weird right? When it comes to desserts I’m of the extremely simple type. Maybe a hostess cupcake or some such thing. Seriously though, I came because I was looking for a special treat for my gf who is from Mexico. She has been saying that there aren’t any great places to get authentic desserts here in Vegas like tres leches and mil ojas cakes. So, Vegas bakery came up on Unilocal and I figured I’d give it a try. I have been there 3 times now trying different things and I would have to say the tres leches is my favorite. I didn’t really care for the mil ojas and as for my gf, well, she’s pretty tough! She thought it was ok which is better than most I guess thus the 4 stars. I’ll have to compare if I find some other places in town.

My cousin told me about this place. she actually brought one of their cakes over to a party we were having and when I had a slice of it… it was to die for. It was so delicious that I had to go back and get my own cake. Haha. Flavors are on point and amazing. I surely do recommend this bakery.
