Winchell’s Donut House

I stopped by here because it was close to the hospital where my dad was. Disappointed. It wasn’t awful, just not fresh. I got glazed,
Jelly and Boston cream. All were stale. Maybe it was just this location.

Very fast. 24 hours. Clean and friendly staff that helps me with my sugar crave when I’m working grave!

I keep coming back for the cake donuts with sprinkles. They’re the most amazing cake donut when you get them fresh (typically I’ll pick them up around 7 or 8pm and I can get them right off the cooling trays).

Doughnuts are the way to my heart. Love this place. Not the best but consistently good and convenient.

The donuts here are just okay.

I love the donuts here. There are always hot and fresh. Always a great selection with great service as well. Its also great cause it has a Subway in it as well. And i live close.

OMG… these are the best doughnuts I have ever had in my life. They were so fresh and still warm. They melted in my mouth. Where has this chain been hiding? All I can say is that it is a good thing this is a little too far from my house. This is a very dangerous place. Not that I won’t be back. Why aren’t there more of these??? I absolutely have never tasted any better… They even surpassed my childhood memories of the doughnut shop on Main St. Just HEAVENLY.

Drove to this location and the kid working said that registers were down and couldn’t sell us any donuts. I told him I could leave cash, but he said he’d get up trouble. Really? You probably throw out half those donuts at the end of the night. Thanks for denying business

Donuts taste fresh, raspberry jelly is the best. Great service, wide variety, and I love that they are 24 hours. Donuts day or night, what else can you ask for!

Great donut’s and great service. Personally, I would like to see more glaze on all the donuts, but that is just me. They will put more glaze on them for you if you ask and the machine is ready. The buttermilk donuts and apple fritters are the best.

Donuts are pretty good IF they are fresh. We usually only get donuts late night cause they advertise being 24 hours which is great but half the time they barely have anything to select from and/​or what they do have is very old and stale. If your going to be a 24 hour operation great but the product should be somewhat fresh and there should be stocked product for your customers to choose from. On a positive note they taste amazing if they were made within the last few hours but seems to be few and far between

This place usually rocks but not tonight. Walked in and I was the only customer. The guy behind the counter said we’ll be with you in a minute. I waited for more then a minute. The guy just stood there… I finally walked out.

First time coming here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Donuts are on point! Whenever I go to a donut shop, they are always out of something. But this one, wasn’t and it was seven o’clock in the morning. They were putting in fresh ones too. The lady behind the counter was so nice. I do appreciate good customer service. Wish I got her name. But this will be my go to place now!!!(:

I love this donut spot! They clearly have changed since the poor reviews were written… I have never been disappointed here and have been a handful of times. Donut eating challenge, anyone? YUMMY!

Great donuts! Got ½ dozen after drinks at Born and Raised next door (how convenient) for $ 4.99. At about 7pm on a Sun night they had a pretty good looking and fresh variety. I asked if I can mix and match anything (apple fritters/​cinnamon rolls/​custard filled etc) he said «anything» so I got a combo of raised, cake, custard filled and cinnamon roll donuts. The cinnamon Rolls are huge! I cut it in half and ate the other half for breakfast. Although they had a pretty full variety, they did not have any maple donuts at the time =(but what do you expect, it was a Sun night at 7p so I’m not that surprised, I was pretty impressed and happy with what I had. I noticed some donuts at other shops give off a greasy taste in your mouth when they’re a day old, but not Winchell’s, their donuts are good for at least the next day… or two! What?!?

Decent selection for such a small place. It’s located inside the subway shop. They had about 15 different donuts to choose from. I tried the boston crème and the bowtie. Both were good. I am still a DD fan, and I absolutely LOVE a freshly dipped KK, but I would try another Winchell’s. I think it was $ 1.98 for the 2 donuts.

This easy-​to-​get-​to place has always been my downfall after enjoying drinks with friends. I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy fresh, delicious donut holes, apple fritters or a good ol fashioned cake donut to soak up the alcohol in your stomach?!!
Some people need a greasy burger after a night on the town… nothing wrong with that, but this evil place is close to my home… and it is a loyal to me every time I drive home…

Just an average run-​of-​the-​mill commercial donut shop. Very clean. Open 24hrs & housed together with a Subway. Donuts were fresh. The devils food cake was moist & chocolaty and the glazed had good flavor. I think Winchells is a lot better then Dunkin Donuts or them nasty sugar holes from Krappy Kremes. Overall grade C. Selection was decent.

I was excited that this is close to my house but after giving it 3 shots I can say it is just no good. I went in tonight and there was an employee there who had no idea what he was doing and took 15 minutes to make me a drink. Then I had to pay $ 4 for a tasteless chilla. I want my money back but I can’t be bothered arguing over $ 4. The people with me got donuts and said they were stale.
