I recently moved here from out of state and have been searching for that perfect place. After reading some Unilocal reviews I decided to try it out.
My first experience was great, wonderful selections of colors and the nice woman who worked there did my gel manicure and it was amazing. lasted over two weeks. I also got their spa pedicure and it was just OK. the younger man who gave me my pedicure decided to completely file down my paper thin healing toenail from what remained after falling off a month before (sorry if that was TMI). I was really confused and almost sad why he did that because it stopped all previous growing progress.
After the holidays I returned for another pedicure and gel manicure. It was a little busy since I had gone on a Sunday, but the wait wasn’t too bad. When I finally got to a chair though I ended up sitting and waiting for another 20 minutes which was fine but of course I got the young man who ruined my poor toe last time, so I politely made it clear to not cut or file that toe, and he did that. However, the pedicure itself took a whole hour because for some reason he decided to wipe off and redo 4 toes about 3 different times… Now on to my gel manicure, which I figured would be done by the same lady but no I sit down and it’s the young man who is going to give my manicure. I’m sitting there and not once are my hands soaked in anything to loosen my cuticles, he just starts slamming away with tools. After about 25 min of his OCD cuticle plucking I’m finally getting some gel onto my fingers. Honestly I would’ve rather just gone to this place and borrower the supplies and performed my own manicure. The gel polish wasn’t even close to being at the bottom of my nail, and I’m no rookie to gel manicures, so when someone is applying the thinnest layers and repeatedly stroking my nail with the brush like its regular paint, I can tell they don’t know what they’re doing. After about 45 min now, he starts wiping off several okay done nails and redoing them !!! Why?!? I had been at this place for two hours now and should’ve been home at this point. I finally had to tell him I had somewhere to be so he’d hurry up. Once I was done being tortured I looked at my nails and was disgusted but really just wanted to cry because I knew I still had to pay for these awful things. I didn’t want to make a scene and say anything to the woman because there were a few people being serviced.
To make matters worse my manicure chipped at the bottoms of my nails only TWO DAYS after getting them done. That has never happened to me.
All in all I know I will not return to this place again. It’s a waste of money for me.

This place is great. Staff is very nice, plenty of color choices and the place is immaculate. $ 20 for a well done pedicure that included a hot stone massage. This will be my new spot for nails.

I came here because I saw that it had 4 stars and good reviews. I was the only person there so you’d think I’d get really good service. The people weren’t very friendly, just kind of wanted to get my nails done and get me out of there. He didn’t really take the time to make sure my nails came out nicely they’re a little uneven and I tried to tell him but he just was like ok and kept going. And then when he finished my nails he stood up and walked behind me and started giving me a neck and shoulder massage… which was alright but he didn’t ask and I think they should before they do that because some people don’t like to be touched. If he had asked I would have declined anyway. But it was a nice gesture. Decent pricing and really cool designs. I just wasn’t extremely impressed with my experience.

My first time going here. They did not understand how to put glitter on shellac nails. Also, two days after going, five of my nails broke in half and broke through my skin. I have been getting my nails done for a long time and this has NEVER happened :(

Still going to this salon and I still can not be happier. I have found my permanent nail salon! I love Amy and all the staff. So sweet so gentle and so friendly! There is not a better salon ANYWHERE!

I was in town for a wedding and wanted to treat myself to a nice mani/​pedi. Not too many nails salons in Albany have decent Unilocal reviews and this place seemed like my best option.
I walked in around 3pm on a Friday afternoon and they told me it would be about a 20 minute wait. Several women walked in after me and were seated immediately, but I just assumed they had appointments. It became clear that might not have been the case and I was shown to a pedicure chair after about 35 minutes of waiting.
My nail tech seemed exasperated with me from the moment I sat down. Her attitude persisted through the whole experience. The massage chair was great, however the pedicure was just about average. I also got a gel manicure. It didn’t chip and was great in that regard, but again, the attitude I experienced knocked this experience down a star. While my nails were drying I got a shoulder massage (although obviously perfunctory), it was a nice touch.
Everyone else in the salon seemed friendly and attentive. They had some really great nail art displays and if I was into that kind of thing, I definitely would have gotten that add-​on. For a regular pedicure and a gel manicure it was $ 45. The salon itself was clean and had a nice atmosphere all around as well as a great nail polish collection.

Just moved to the Schenectady area and have been on the hunt for a decent nail salon. I was able to go on a Friday morning and they had me in the pedicure chair right away. They had a special for a regular mani-​pedi for $ 30 dollars, which is what I usually get. I will definitely go back for my next nail appointment.

Wanted to take my daughter to a new nail salon, the one we were going to was just terrible and I was in desperate need of a good pedicure. Read the reviews for this salon and decided, what the hell. :) Great place!!! Awesome service, excellent full set for my daughter and a pedicure to write home about for me! Worth every single penny and I highly recommend them. Great prices and superior service!

What to say about my favorite nail salon.
I’ve been to many in the Colonie and Guilderland area, and Grace Nail is by far the friendliest place I’ve been too. Very very clean as well. All pedicure chairs have water proof plastic bags that line the foot bath and are changed each time.
Aimee is the owner/​manager who moved from City Nail on Wolf Rd to start her own salon. She may be the nicest lady in the capital district. Always greets you with a smile and is genuinely happy to see you. Remembers your name and asks you about things you may have talked to her in the past.
Pedicure with a normal amount of people takes about 45 mins. They do a great job with gel nail which also takes around 45 mins.
If you are looking for a go-​to nail place in which you are treated with genuine kindness and great service, Grace Nail is for you! I will continue to come.
*big plus: their gel polish change (not manicure) is only $ 18 as opposed to other salons that charge $ 35.
