Love this place they show care and concern and is super hospital clean ! Glad I found a place close to my house !

We moved recently from out of state. What a great experience we had. Jameisha (sic), at the front desk was incredible. All three of our «kids» were well taken care of. We would highly recommend Lathrop Vet Center, and Dr. Keisha Valdez for any of your pets needs.

The staff is very friendly and the office is clean. However I think they are extremely overpriced! They charge way more than other vets around and at first I figured high prices equal best care. Well I was wrong! We went here when we had to send our milo to doggie heaven and they quoted one price then when we said how expensive it was the knocked it down by quite a bit. That was years ago and now with our new addition to our family I called to get a price quote on a puppy package $ 325 for vaccines, dewormer and 2 fecal floats as well as office visits included for 6 months. Sounds great to have all that. I decided to ask around for recommendations before I committed and had all of my friends and family members except 2 recommend another vet office (northgate veterinary) where we decided to take our puppy instead and the vet care at our current vet is amazing. The puppy pack was over $ 100 less included the same things and even included the microchip service as well. I love lathrop vet but I don’t love their prices!

It was great to have a vet right down the street! The facility is great, very professional and I took my animals their for as long as I could afford. Unfortunately, I had to find another Vet elsewhere because the prices are extremely high. 3 times what I now pay for my new vet which is in Manteca. My animals are well cared for and I can afford to keep them healthy.

This vet clinic drives me crazy every time I have brought my cats in. In my recent visit my cat had a small sore on his ear. The gal at the front desk never made eye contact with me she just stared at her computer screen. It was very unsettling and not very welcoming. When I finally met the vet she seemed fine and examined my cat’s issue. Then she asked if she could take my cat to be weighed and get his temperature. This three minute exchange was the last time I saw the vet. After taking his temperature and weighing him a nurse brought my cat back to me and gave me the vets recommendations. It frustrates me that the vets at this clinic do not act professional enough to take the time to talk to the clients. They were not busy so there was no reason not to come back and speak with me. $ 68 dollars later for a three minute visit and no information from the vet herself. I really think this veterinary clinic has a lot of potential but unfortunately someone has convinced them that customer service is not important.

Best place ever took my kitty Henry in not feeling him self he had a fever after antibiotics 24 hrs later he is back to headbutting & loving on me. These people are great I have 3 dogs 4 cats & wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else. They always call with follow-​ups & to me that shows they care. :)

I called on September 8TH at 8:00. The woman on the phone was great getting my Sammie in for a 10:30 appointment. I arrived a few minutes early just in case there was paperwork needing to be done. Right away we were taken into a room to wait for the doctor, who arrived within minutes. It was determined she would need a urine test. Of course she wouldn’t cooperate so stayed until 3:30. I was greeted by name when I got there to bring her home for the night. I brought her back this morning to try again to get urine. Again I was greeted by name and Sammie’s name. I was called at 12:30 they had gotten the sample from her and I could come get her. I arrived and again was greeted by name. My kitty was treated wonderful here and so was I. I would recommend Lathrop Veterinary Center to anyone who has fur babies. Thank You!

Your response is untruthful. You were not at the event so you cannot accurately speak to what happened. I was there. Wether you wish to believe it or not, your staff was extremely rude. I did not ask for a detailed document that only a Veterinarian could provide. I simply asked for an itemized receipt for the visit. I received an itemized receipt at the initial visit. You know, the one where you collected all the money. But for some reason I did not understand, I could not be provided an itemized receipt at the follow-​up visit despite having paid for additional medication. I request a simple itemized receipt and I’m told I have to wait days for my request to be approved and a doctor to write it up. That sounded completely crazy to me. Also your doctor did a poor job of removing Sabie’s sutures during her follow-​up appointment. Months and months later I’m petting her and feel something pointy. It was the plastic string your doctor used to suture Sabie.
Kristina, you are right about one thing. I did use your vet office for years, despite your exorbitant pricing practice. I never had a visit where the vet tech didn’t come back into the exam room with a recommended treatment plan that included a laundry list of unnecessary, expensive items. I used your office because you are in close proximity to my home and in that way were convenient to use.

We’ve already been here twice. The first time was to have the VET exam my puppy’s broken tooth. The second was to extract the broken tooth, neutering & vaccinations. The staff are super friendly & informative. The facility is clean & welcoming, the waiting area has such an open space (which is used for their classes & also during regular hours helps separate the animals from each other. I believe that helps reduce anxiety!) Both visits we were extremely happy with our service & believe we’ve found the right Vet & staff for our little Fur-​baby.

Oh might I also add their prices are fairly reasonable! I thought I was going to pass out seeing my bill (they review everything with you before they make any moves) but I actually felt more relief!

Moved to Lathrop from the Bay Area this spring. Had been with my previous vet for approximately 20 years and with multiple pets. I have an 11 year old Boston Terrier named Kona who has started to develop some back/​hip problems in the past few months. The staff here has been very welcoming and are always friendly. Although I’m not sure my dog is yet improving or if she ever will I feel the advice and care they have given me has been sincere and honest. I would definitely recommend them and their prices are in line with what I was paying for service in San Jose.

Front desk girl and nurse were great … Very kind… And caring… However the actual Doctor. Lisa…seemed to just be «going through the motions» she had no emotions toward me or my dog (who felt awful as she had been vomiting and had diahhriahh for 2 days and had not ate anything) this vet had a straight face and tone that said I just want your money, I don’t even like animals (seriously the vibe I got) my dog was given a parvovirus test… It was negative… So then I get this RIDICULOUSE $ 620 bill on paper … Itemizing what the vet «recommends» but yet she had no idea what could be going on with my dog (a 5 pound yorkie) she was more concerned about the fact that I had not yet spayed my yorkie… And explained all the reasons why I should not breed my dog… Rather than telling me what might be wrong with her… this place is one of those upsale places. They start with a high bill just to see what they can get out of you… And then they will drop little things off if you are not going for what they want, they only want money… no compassion for the animals or owners I paid for the office visit and parvovirus test… That’s all… I left this place and went to a modesto office

our doxie was attacked with several large, deep gashes around his throat with his eye and ear torn as well. my daughter and I came in hysterical! the doctor casually comes in and wants to discuss fees. FEES?! my dog is bleeding everywhere and is in critical condition!!! he was a pompous jerk. I calmly said before we discuss anything I need you to inject him with pain meds. he begrudgingly complied and explained I need to agree and sign to a dollar amount. after the pain med injection a girl walks in with a ridiculous bill and is very short with me. remember everyone I have a 19lb dog that just got attacked by a very large dog and is bleeding everywhere. they wouldn’t work with me, told me pay all now or go elsewhere. so I tell them I will pay for the shot and take my dog somewhere else. I was so overwhelmed, panicked and terrified. they had a line so I waived to the lady at the counter and said I would be back to pay. ten minutes later I get a call from the vet ripping me a new one because I left without paying. this jerk seriously called me knowing the condition my dog was in for a bill!!! yes he for real did. told me I was out of line and should be embarrassed of myself. I will NEVER take any of my animals to this place.

I was able to get a last minute, evening appointment. The vet didn’t request unnecessary testing for a problem I’m pretty sure I have identified as seasonal allergies. I am happy with my visit and the price seemed fair.

I trust this vet with my pet’s health. They are super friendly and genuinely care about your pet, not the money. They’re honest and won’t do something if your pet truly doesn’t need it. They’re always available and never make me feel like I’m bothering them. My dogs always look forward to their monthly pedicure visits.

It’s hard to find a great vet. This place was easy to find — being that my cell phone had died on the way! The staff are all friendly, even helped me call the foster parent of my kitty to get the paper work (cause my phone died).
Over all I had a good vibe in the offices. Very clean, conditioned and kept up. I will be taking my little Han here for everything. Let’s just hope it’s only for check ups and nothing serious!

Awful experience! I boarded my dog here for a week. In that time, the staff allowed him to chew up the brand new pet carrier we left there. The worst part is my dog contracted a skin rash while he was there. I didn’t find out until the day of our scheduled pick up. That’s when they told me about the rash and how the vet recommended an «evaluation.» I said ok to that and left him ($ 40 down the drain!) Later the vet calls saying he needs to run more tests. I ask him how much it will cost and say I need to discuss with my husband.
When I go to pick him up, they were charging me another $ 150 for tests I never authorized on something that happened while under their care!!! Needless to say I was upset. They refunded me the cost of the tests but not the «evaluation» of the obvious rash he had. I think out of common courtesy and a concern for an animal they had just boarded for a week, they would give me the results of the test regardless.
Seeing how crooked this place operates we took our dog to Tracy Vet instead and he was treated for less than half of the cost. (See their reviews)
If you care about your pet at all, I recommend you do NOT use this vet as a boarding facility! Unless you want your belongings destroyed and your pet infected when you pick them up.

This vet is kind of pricy compared to others, it seems as if they are in the vet business for the money. Every single thing they want to do is trying to get money out of you. Not only is it disappointing but its insulting. The ladies at the front desk especially heather are extremely rude and makes you feel stupid. What happened to customer service? The veterinarian was nice but once again tried to do extra things to get money out of you. I will defiantly neatly go somewhere else to treat my pets.

Our first dog, our first vet clinic, so far all visits were very pleasant. Our dog will surely miss Dr. Amanda, a very thorough doctor, she’s simply the best!

I was very taken aback with this vet. I brought my 13 year old cat in for blood work, due to a fear of an unknown, possible, infection. In recieving the results, no infection was found, but early detection of kidney disease was found, being normal in my cats age. When asking the vet what measures could be taken, she said nothing could be done. Already having an animal with a kidney issue, born with it, I knew this to be faulty information. I had all of my cats records faxed to my original vet in the bay, and had my vet look over the blood work. Yes, my research and fears where correct, something could be done. With early detection, a change of diet with less protien, a perscription diet was in order. I couldnt believe this vet had missed something so vital. I am shocked and fearful for other misdiagnosis of peoples pets. Be very aware if you choose this vet, for your animals saftey.

Went to a new vet today, Lathrop Veterinary, and met with Dr. Natalie Olsen. She was very good to our dogs, was very thorough, and listened to all of our concerns and really checked every inch of our babies. =] Bella liked her so much she sat next to her the whole time! The staff there was awesome too and they were very patient. YAY!!! New and better vet!!! The only reason I’m giving them only four stars is because I have yet to try their kennel facilities. So my review might change later. =]
