Keese’s Simply Delicious

From the Lauderdale By The Sea Code Inspector:
An inspection of Keese’s was completed yesterday by myself and the Fire Marshall.
There were no municipal code violations in the restaurant.
The Fire Marshall did note some fire code violations give notice to the tenant to correct them.

First of all my work place orders from here constantly however after today’s experience my coworker and I will be spreading the word to NEVER order from here again. We ordered over the phone and the person that took our order stated it was going to be 45 minutes. It didn’t get to our office till 1 hour and 25 minutes later. We had to call the place back up and follow up on why our order took so long and they said it is on it’s way that was at the hour and 15 minute mark. Their driver was rude when we complained to him and really didn’t have an answer for us on why it took him so long.
When we opened our food, it looked like it was just thrown in the take out box. We have ordered from them previously and it didn’t look anything close to what was given to us back then. They had also forgotten our fries with our order and ended up giving us a small container with one shrimp in it (so odd). We ended up calling them back to being so unsatisfied with unappetizing meal and not once did the person that picked up the phone apologize or even seem apologetic of what happened. He just kept saying, «Well I wasn’t the one that took your order and what would you like to have happen now?»
We ended up requesting a refund immediately and at first they told me it will be after all the other deliveries are done and we told them no it needs to be now. It took them an additional 15 minutes to get back to our office to give us our money back.
Extremely disappointed on how this turned out because we normally enjoy the food from here however after today’s experience not only with how the food looked but the overall experience of how they treat their customer we will really push for this place not to be ordered from, from here on out.

Awesome gyro for lunch this afternoon. I would prefer the fried chicken but I have been working out recently and I am saving that for this weekend.
Do yourself a favor and eat here as they have something for everyone!!!

I ordered a falafel and a Greek salad for lunch. the problem. which I am now reading… is that their delivery system seems to be messed up. The food was 40 minutes late and this after calling them twice. the second time whoever answered seemed to be either unbelievably rude that it was almost comical if I wasn’t so hungry and had to leave for an appt or maybe suffering from some other issue. The food came finally and was ok. Nothing that would justify the prices. So if u really want to eat here may I suggest pick up not delivery.

The food was amazing, And good prices for the amount of food that you got! But the service was horrible… It’s definitely not a nice place to sit in and eat at but I definitely didn’t want to order delivery because of all the bad reviews… and while we were eating the one worker was trying to flag down the delivery guy because he forgot two bags of food for an order… Now I understand why everyone said to not order delivery… Our waitress kept talking the whole time, so we had to keep asking for things because she wasn’t coming and asking us how the food was or if we needed anything. Then she got an attitude with us… But that’s her job… She should find a new if she doesn’t feel like refilling people’s water. Overall it’s an okay place

Late, late, late food is good but don’t have it delivered!

Selection and variation of menu items is unrivaled, for better or worse. I haven’t witnessed a menu or restaurant where you can order a gyro, with a side of cornbread or chili cheese fries. I cannot say that I took advantage of the latter two, but I did enjoy a well put together gyro. Delivery was quick, online ordering was a breeze, and delivery driver friendly. Overall a solid 4 star for a casual night dining in. Keep it up Keese’s!

Got it delivered. On a Saturday at 9 pm. Everything was hot! Tasty! Full of flavor and well presented. Must say I had zero expectations with this delivery but my philly yummy the feta ball was used on salads for days after I ordered it and my fries were crispy. Cheers to a job well done.

The fried chicken is cooked to order, so be prepared to wait for that fresh, crispy, seasoned to perfection goodness that they are cooking for you. I will be back to try other items soon.

Placed an order over the phone, provided our phone number, address, got the total and thought we were hung up on before being able to give our credit card number. No problem, figured we would pay cash. Understood it was raining so the delivery could take longer, about 45 – 60 min. Waited 90 min before calling back. Turns out they lost power but didn’t bother to call us back or put the order in.

Good service, good food, decent price. Soonest wrap was fully of feta cheese and overall very satisfying. No problem returning to try something else

Well, it’s simple as that who think that’s great food than I think he never got one, that’s the worse Arabs, Turkish or whatever they call it, very disappointed, but it’s all right no one learn for free

Chicken shawarma platter is my usual now. I have been frequenting this place for years. Their food is good and made fresh. I like there different dips, they pair well with the Mediterranean selection. A bit pricey, but it is the beach and the area is crawling with vacationers so the markup is expected.

We just stopped in for a quick bite without any expectations. That being said, the service was very sweet and friendly. We split a gyro burger and it was phenomenal! Perfect amount of feta and tzatziki sauce for a decent price. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Keese’s quality seems to keep going downhill. Two years ago if you ordered a half BBQ chicken, you got a chicken, cut in half with a generous amount of meat on the bones and an order of fries that was a good sized portion.
I order tonight and get 1 wing, 1 leg and 2 thighs. Not a single peice of white meat. The chicken was so dry i could barely cut it with a steak knife and there was less meat on all those pieces than a 10 piece chicken mcnuggets at McDonald’s. There was maybe 12 fries. I am less than a mile from the restaurant ant it took 58 minutes for delivery.
I think Keese’s is going to go from a go to place to a don’t go to place.

Took TWO HOURS for delivery, no exaggeration. Contemplating suicide from the heart burn the poor quality food gave me. Never again!!!

So, I admittedly walked in late. Looking here, I guess they were closed. But I had parked intending to eat burger fi and the doors were open, and all the signs lit up.
I walked in and people at the counter were fighting. I asked «Excuse me, are you open». A lady with a black ponytail glared at me… then started arguing with the girl behind the counter more, completely ignoring me. I said excuse me again, and I was completely ignored.
One of the rudest experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Would it have been so hard to stop fighting and let me know if you were closed?

These people are thieves, I was double charged on my card (unknown to me) then the delivery driver took 40 dollars for my 31 dollar order after I was nice enough to tip him $ 9. After arguing with the owner for two days she tells me it’s my fault for paying the driver. I came to the restaurant to see what could be done the delivery driver tried to fight me! No hair nets in the kitchen if you like dirty kitchens full of tiny black curly hairs this is your place !

We ordered delivery, so I can’t speak on the service or location, but the food was tasty! I never expect much out of delivery because by the time it makes it to you it’s usually cold, soggy, meh. But Keese’s held it’s own and by the time it arrived at our hotel it was still delicious. I opted for the chicken shawarma which came with a few different dips, served over rice, with a huge side salad. All of the dips (it says it came with hummus, tzatziki, and garlic sauce, but there was definitely baba ganoush in there as well) were fresh and flavorful. My boyfriend got some chicken avocado wrap, which was pretty standard. I’d definitely try dining in if I ever found myself in the area again, prices were fair and the food was delish.

Um Keese’s you have won my affection.
We order lunch in from GrubHub quite often and this was one of their restaurants. I ordered a Gyro platter and it was GINORMOUS, like huge. I mean almost laughably so. like I laughed when i saw the portion sizes. See pix
